I wonder why my experience was so different from the previous reviewers. We had a terrible experience and would never recommend these movers. "Time" ran out and 1/4 of our stuff didn't get moved. Some of the furniture that did get moved was damaged, and some we still cannot locate. On top of the fact that we were offered services that were not delivered. Furniture delivered was also not completely set up...and how did I get wood shavings in all of my drawers? Now we have to hire more movers to help us with the remaining stuff Alamance Movers was not able to move because they kept taking breaks and making personal calls, not to mention there was no method to their moving, just going in and out of different rooms instead of taking one room and getting all that stuff out. We even did two final walk through and kept mentioning things that needed to go. Just a frustrating and exhausting process overall. Edit in response to David L.'s: when you ask if everything is to my liking at the end of the move when the movers haven't even left yet, before I've unpacked, looked at my furniture, etc, I have no way of knowing what was damaged/left behind. And why does the payment have to be made to two separate places? Edit 2: Am I supposed to give negative feedback directly to someone who has my home address? Is this perhaps why I may have eschewed my name? David still didn't tell me why I had to make payment 2/3 to Dillard's moving in Concord and 1/3 to Alamance Moving. read more

Would highly recommend Alamance Movers to anybody needing help with any type of move. They were super quick and courteous and professional, and the 2 of them loaded up our U-haul to the brim in less than 3 hours....with a little Chick-Fil-A break mixed in, lol. We are recently recovered from our second move in one year and I wanted to take time to say that our move was made so much easier by the talented team of Kendall, Malcolm and Jordan at Alamance Movers. They took incredible care in terms of prepping for the move, wrapping art and furniture so it had no chance of getting injured and were efficient with time and cheerful in attitude. I mostly saw them in action when they delivered all our things to Greensboro. They were both strong in body and in heart. They had such gracefulness, I felt as if their moving was a skillful dance that made me want to applaud now and again. Their communication was perfect--they had a lovely rapport with each other and with us. They wouldn't even let me unload my car...they extended themselves farther than I could have imagined....and their price was more reasonable than any other company. I never want to move again...but if I do wind up in that situation, I know just who I'll call!!! read more

John and Adam showed up on time and ready and eager to do whatever I needed done. They were so friendly yet very professional and easy to work with. They went over and above what I expected. I would highly recommend them. I had a last minute request and they had no problem scheduling and meeting my requests or deadlines. I can't say enough good things about John and Adam or about the company. I have moved too many times in my lifetime and have had some negative experiences so I was nervous but I don't regret using them and will use them again in the future. Jonathan and Adam arrived at our house yesterday RIGHT on time and were kind from the very beginning. They quickly assessed our home and tirelessly worked to get everything out. These gentlemen were as polite and hardworking as they come. Both guys went above and beyond loading ALL of our things into their truck and then carefully making sure they arrived to our new home safely. Moving can be such a hassle and stressful situation for all those involved. These guys found time to help us make light of the situation and enjoy the process. I would use them time and time again and have recommended them to all of my friends, as well as my sister in law who is a real estate agent.
