It's embarrassing to say, but I backed into our garage door over the weekend. It knocked the door off the track, separated a panel and bent a track - yikes. I immediately turned to my neighbors for recommendations on repair. I was given three names and I called them all on a late Saturday afternoon. ProGarage Doors was the only one to respond right away. Even though it wasn't an emergency, a tech named Sayah arrived about 90 minutes later. He assessed the damage and said he could fix everything within a couple of hours. One hour later it was repaired. It cost $650. That seemed high (as other Yelpers have noted), but I paid it with no complaints because peace of mind and turnaround time on a weekend are worth it to us. Sayah was very nice and made me feel less stressed about my mishap. He also offered to tune up our garage door opener to make it run a little smoother and quieter. The other garage door repair companies called me back later that night and Sunday morning. It's possible I could've saved money by being a little more patient. I hope I have the correct Pro Garage Door. Sayah from Pro Garage Door replaced the motor on my garage door on Monday. Here's the backstory: the garage door was working intermittently. One guy came by took a look and left saying he doesn't work on that brand of motor. Another guy wouldn't even come out for the same reason. Sayah came by on a Sunday, took a look, explained there are no spare parts for that brand of motor, gave me a quote for replacing it, and came back Monday morning to perform the work. A new motor is not inexpensive. Sarah installed the motor, switched the mechanism to chain drive, installed a motion detector to stop the door closing if there's something in the way, and installed a new keypad outside the garage. Sayah explained what he was going to do and then walked me through all the new stuff before he left. And he cleaned up the bits of trash that come with any project. I could not have asked for better service. The new mechanism is reliable and much quieter. The lagniappe is that the new system is connected to wifi so I can open the door for guests or workmen from my phone if I'm not home. I backed into my garage door. The tech came out and looked at the damage and said he would have to release the tension on the door, disassemble the panels and rebuild the door making it sound like it was going to be a lot of work. He quoted $750 which I foolishly agreed to thinking he was going to be there for hours. He was done in about 50 minutes. I let him know how I felt about how outrageous that price was. His argument was that he didn't work by the hour plus parts plus profit, only from his verbal estimate. He discussed the situation with his boss and we ultimately agreed on $600 which was also still outrageous for 50 minutes and five roller assemblies. A total rip-off. read more

My mom had a simple need to have garage door replaced after accidentally backing into it. They came out and replaced the door, but there's no way to lock the door. The door won't even open. We had this door replaced over 2 months ago. Since then Nathan has been ignoring our calls. If by a fluke he does answer the call he says he'll come take a look at it, but never shows. I've even called and spoke to him. Which he said he'd b out n two days time to take a look at it. Again he never showed or called. I'd leave zero stars if I could. I won't recommend this co to anyone. Such horrible customer service. I just want this door fixed properly so it can be used and locked. As of right now it's a fire hazard. What a sorry company. After 12 plus years, the motor to our garage door suddenly stopped opening on a Thursday evening. I spent the majority of my Friday trying to schedule an appointment with anyone but no one, withing our 10 miles radius, could accommodate. It was too short notice or their operation was Mon through Friday. That was until I called Pro Garage Doors. Who was very highly rated btw. I called late that afternoon and left a message. Within 20 mins time, Joseph contacted me, was able to determine the issue with my unit and scheduled to meet that Saturday morning. Joseph was not only early but alerted me when he was 10 mins away. When he arrived he got to work immediately. Conforming the the issue with my unit and provided me with several repair options and payment options which was nice. The worse feeling in the world is being given an "all or nothing" repair situation. So even though the motor was the only thing that needed to replace, I opted for an entirely new and upgraded system. Complete with wall unit, 2 remotes, chain, track, motor, outdoor panel and bluetooth connectivity. I cannot express how awesome Joseph was during the entire process. He was able to dismantle the old until, install the new until, walk thru the set and programming of the new unit with me, as well as help to program the home link in both of my vehicles, give a little maintaince check up of my other garage motor all within 2 hours or so. This was truly a great experience. Although my other garage unit is in still fully functional, I will be calling Joseph at Pro Garage Doors for another upgrade. read more

We replaced the garage door springs on one of the doors last July. The quote was high compared to what other companies were charging, but they were able to fix it that day versus waiting for two days for other companies. The bigger issue is that they were not done correctly. We have contacted the company to fix this and they have not responded. read more

Worst experience ever I Wish I could give 0 Stars . They installed two new garage doors for me and a couple months later the doors malfunctioned . I tried numerous times to get them to come and and fix it to no avail . After speaking to the secretary and technician and warning them that if I don't hear from a manager or owner I would leave a bad review and we'll here it is . This company was quick to charge me almost 3K to install two new garage doors and the owner made sure he was in constant communication when it came to collecting the money for the install but refused to answer the phone or call when I had issues with the doors malfunctioning . I mean the gears and pulleys all came out of the door assemblies and it was a disaster to where the doors just stopped working completely . I had to hire another garage door repair company to come out and had to pay $150 to get everything repaired correctly as it should have been done the first time . My recommendation is that you DO NOT use Pro Garage Doors. They will take your money and refuse to warranty their work . This is not how business is done and I'm also a business owner in the area so it just sucks that it has to come to this . If you do wrong by customers and mistreat them it will come back on you . Beware and if you decide to use them don't say I didn't Warn you ... also don't believe these Google stars that people get they are reviews left by family members and close friends not actual customers ... read more
