I dreadfully went to Yelp to look for specialist thinking "oh great, I'll have to shell out thousands." So, obviously I chose Dunwoody Door Lift because of all the good reviews and all the good things that were said about Sean the owner. When I initially called to request service on my garage door, I think I tried to lie about what happened because I was embarrassed and he definitely called me out on that LOL. I got lucky because he came out the same day and looked at it and gave me 2 solutions. Both of which were a good price and nothing outrageous like I thought. He worked so fast and was done within an hour or so I was thinking it was going to take longer. Sean even put in a light bulb, I had no clue there was even supposed to be light on the unit, that was awesome. I'm so glad to have found this great company because I'll likely need him again in the future.

Balanced Garage Doors was responsive, professional & fair. Thanks, Matt!

After a couple calls including calling my warranty company, I did one more quick google search to call one more, and based on a few reads, I called Balanced Garage. The gentleman, Niven (apology if misspelled his name), he was so kind. I explained my dilemma and asked if they had a service fee. He told me no and explained their services and availability for a tech the following afternoon 12-4. However, I was contacted around 10am that he'd finished his job and enroute to come earlier. Great! Ed, was so kind, listened to me freak out, but he explained and showed me all the prior repairs done by the previous folks and why the door was failing. Gave me an estimate to repair vs replace and, of course, I chose to replace it all. Damien, the installer came a few days later and he too was nice, efficient and also explained everything. Overall, they communicated thru texts the appointments, emailed my invoices promptly and made me feel very comfortable and not feeling that I had to question anything. Would certainly recommend them to family and friends.

One of our springs broke above our door on a Saturday and I requested service for Sunday. The technicians on both visits were very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, and did the work very quickly. They may not be the least expensive, but they do good work and all of those things factor in to making it a good experience. They carry all parts on their truck for repairs, so it was great to get the diagnosis and fix on the same day so I didn't have to take a day off from work for the repair.

He cleaned up after himself and made our wiring, which had previously been a hot mess, look nicer! It took him 20 minutes to switch some wires and our garage door works again. Unless it requires switching around some wires, in which case, we now know how to do that ourselves.

They sent someone out the same day I called and charged me around $4300 for the install. For the past 2 weeks, my garage door won't close since the install and I have been getting error messages. I've called Hero for the past week trying to get someone to come out and service the issue, they tell me management will contact me and never does. The reps take my info and have told me I would get a call back same day, never happens. They took my money and now I can't even close my garage or get someone to even give me a phone call. I wish I could give them 0 stars if that was an option. Terrible service overall, would not recommend them to anyone.

The were friendly, efficient, and actually were really *into* and excited about garage door systems. They notified us about several issues in the original installation (the track was at an angle) and were happy to help fix that as well. The garage sounds completely different now, almost the only sound is the actual motor, the door doesn't bang around anymore. While they were there, they checked to make sure we were set on everything else, and even helped program an in-car remote we hadn't gotten around to yet. I don't usually put a lot of faith into 5-star reviews, but they really were worth it. Great work, great price, and genuine guys.

I don't know if this guy is an Eagle Scout, but if a Boy Scout ran a garage door repair service, this is what it would be like. Mr. Spencer was clear and quick in his communication; he educated us one multiple options to deal with our problem without particularly trying to sell us on anyone in particular; he found the most economical but also worthwhile fix to our problem. In the course of the scheduled repair, he discovered a short in our wiring and fixed it for free. He gave us the walking-out-the-door price and did not surprise us with any hidden fees. We are very satisfied with the repair; the fix happened less than 24 hours after contacting Mr. Spencer (I left a message on Sunday afternoon, and the door was fixed by 2 PM on Monday). I couldn't think of any way this guy could improve his services. Extremely reasonable prices, outstanding service, superb education, clearly-explained options, fast response, punctual arrival, great communication... what more could one ask for?
