We have been doing business with this contracting company for over five years and, over that time, have hired them for a number of projects, including landscaping, outdoor lighting, and tree removal. We considered ourselves loyal customers and had generally been happy to work with them. Unfortunately, our experience with a recent project has been very disappointing. The company rebuilt the two concrete steps leading from our back door, and only two years later, the concrete is already breaking apart and falling off the steps. We contacted the company to discuss the issue and see how it could be addressed. We were told that their workmanship is only guaranteed for one year, so because the project was completed two years ago, they would not stand behind the work. We understand that companies have warranty policies, but we had hoped that a company we had supported for more than five years would be willing to take some responsibility when a relatively recent concrete project is deteriorating this significantly. What was particularly disappointing was the response when we explained that, if nothing was done to rectify the situation, they would be losing a loyal, longtime customer. Rather than trying to find a reasonable solution, we were essentially told that they had been in business for over 40 years and did not need our business to be successful. After more than five years of doing business with a company, we expected better customer service and, more importantly, a willingness to stand behind their workmanship. My family used Procut Landscaping services in 2023 for drainage problem. We were satisfied with work done. Every now and again we get voicemail calls for winter plowing. So before this storm Jan. 2026 I called and asked if they doing plowing residential in Sloatsburg. Woman said yes, sent me the contract form via email. I call now after storm over and the guy who answered said we never did snow plowing in Sloatsburg NY and I will let you know you won't be a priority. I am blocked in my driveway and there is now a potential storm comimg again this weekend. Was going to sign up with them in middle of contract season which is from Nov. 15- April 15. Was going to pay the $600 plus for this contract. It does say Rockland County. I'm not giving a bad review, just they should specify the towns they will plow on their website read more

Update : After posting the first review Alex reached out to us and we were told "not to worry" he will fix the issues we were left with when Bills crew came and damaged our paver patio. He apologized for Bill being so unprofessional and incompetent and we were told Bill just doesn't care anymore. We offered to post a great review when it was done. I had all intentions of posting a great review and photos but that isn't the case, we were left with a bigger mess. Alex promised the destroyed pavers would be replaced, we would get a beautiful circular entry way and it would look beautiful because he is sending his best workers to do the job. We trusted Alex and agreed to send his crew to fix it. They didn't fix it. They made a bigger mess. Stones not cut to fit, the stones were not sand/cemented in, no new circular beautiful entry way, and best of all, they never replaced multiple sections of stained stones from Bill's botched job. On top of that, they chipped our front stairs and there is a hole where they knocked off a stone. It looks worse than before. Chunks of the new pavers with no sand look weird in the middle of the old one that was correctly installed and sanded. After they left, we expected the next day for them to complete the job. There's still a large amount of stained stones from Bills crew and the stones aren't sanded together. We followed up with Alex and he threatened that if we take him to court we would loose. He actually said he would have about a 1% chance of loosing . How is this possible if this company ruined our patio two times. They might be great at cutting grass but please look elsewhere when you want a pavers patio or your paver patio sealed. I didn't expect it to look worse but it does. Old review: Beware of this company. Do not have them power wash or seal your paver patio. These pictures are the result of Bill the owner not caring about his work. We hired Bill to power wash and seal our paver patio. The crew was sent in summer of 2019 clearly not experienced and destroyed our pavers. We are left with foot prints, smudge marks, roller marks and discoloration of pavers. Bills response: " it's beautiful! Exactly what a paver patio is supposed to look like!" Bill was supposed to come yesterday after chasing him for weeks to fix this and never showed up again. This has been happening since they destroyed our property. We had estimates from other companies to see how they can fix it and they all said the same thing. .. needs to be ripped up and flipped or replaced. We hope he shows up in small claims court when the date is set. read more

First and foremost never filed for a permit with our town to do the work...talked about it, but never actually did it. What a headache that has become. Ripped out sprinkler heads and rain sensor on our existing system, didnt replace or fix any of that. Also buried a head... That one is still buried. He was supposed to come back the next year and fix any areas with issues. We fixed it ourselves. Built us a koi pond, that froze solid. Thank God I got the fish out before it was to late. Pro Cut contacted us after my real review 4 months ago... promising to fix the issues, free of charge if we removed the bad review. Their representative also threatened to sue me for deformation of character. Loll Pro Cut has yet to make good on their promise of fixing the mess they made. They did send a worker over to fix the little things, which my husband had already fixed. We still have no CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY for our house because of Pro Cut NOT PULLING A TOWN PERMIT AND NOT MAKING GOOD ON ALL THEIR PROMISES. BEWARE! read more

After meeting with several pool companies, we chose ProCut for two reasons. 1. We liked that they would manage the whole project. With the other pool companies we met with, you have to contract separately with the landscaper to finish the job. Pool companies will not do things like regrade your backyard and build retaining walls (both things we needed). ProCut has existing relationships with pool companies, electricians, and plumbers etc. and they oversee all aspects of the project. 2. We had a good feeling about Alex. When we first met Alex, he told us that he does not just install pools, he transforms backyards. He asked what our ideal backyard would look like, then worked within our budget to make our dreams come true and we could not be happier. In addition to a free form heated pool with surrounding pavers, ProCut installed two retaining walls, one natural stone to level off the yard, and a second one with paving stones behind the pool with a water feature. They regraded the backyard, and did extensive tree stump removal (Alex was upfront and honest that he was not the most economical choice to clear a section of our backyard and referred us to a tree removal company). They installed fencing, planted trees for privacy, and laid down sod. They also installed the drainage system that was required by town code. We are both very detail oriented and Alex and his team were very easy to work with. When issues did come up he was able to come up with solutions that were often better than the initial design, and he did not nickel and dime us with change orders in the process. He is very passionate about landscape design and has extensive knowledge on construction and pool installation best practices. The crew lead by Hilmer was hard working and a pleasure to deal with. The town building inspector said it was the cleanest pool job site he has ever seen. We are very happy with the results and highly recommend working with Alex. read more

The worst service I have experienced as a new customer! I scheduled an appointment for a quote two weeks in advance. I was told they cannot visit me after hours, so I left the office (across the bridge) during my lunch hour to wait for someone to stop by during office hours. After an hour, no one showed. (not to mention that I was given a two hour window!). When I called, I was told that a voicemail was left for me to tell me that the appointment was canceled. (They dialed the wrong number!). I decided to give him one more chance and asked to reschedule. On the rescheduled day, I called to confirm my appointment and was told once again that it was being canceled. If this is how they service you when you are a new customer, what does it say about their service once you are a customer? Terrible! read more

Rarely, if ever, comes early enough in the day or on time to plow my driveway and walkways during snow storms. My wife and I have to call every time to find out where the snow plow truck is and when its coming. It is incredibly frustrating to look out my window every storm to see all of my neighbors' driveways plowed but rarely mine. :( read more

I hired Pro-Cut to work on my yard fist time 10 years ago. Since then I hired them to do multiple projects of various difficulties. In addition to doing lawn maintenance every year they also done the following: they cleared my backyard from neglected woods left by the previous owners, graded the yard and added top soil, planted 30+ trees and bushes, installed sprinkler system, and more. The most recent and big project is a fence installed around my yard (excellent and high quality work). I always receive good service and my projects always got all necessary attention (the work is done fast and clean). The prices are competitive and fair. I always price the projects with different contractors and I ended up hiring Pro-cut for all major work. If something is not to my expectation (which happens rarely) I work directly with Bill (the owner) who is responsive and always fixes any issue. I highly recommend pro-cut. I have never been so angry at a contracting company in all my life. Worst experience ever! Arrogent, obnoxious, unprofessional, disrespectful to women, and shady practices. Alex Adamo the general manager is the one who comes to your home and makes the estimates. He missed two appointments we had in a row with no phone call. Third appointment late two hours so I called and the Nicloe put me on hold for three minutes, obviously calling him, came back on said he'll be there in an hour. An hour and a half late he shows up like nothing happened, no recognition, no apology. I decided to forget it and continued to ask if I can have the lawn cut every two weeks instead if one, because I thought the price of $40 a cut once a week was more than I needed. He responded by condescendingly stating that all his customers do it weekly and that he charges $45 because the grass is longer! When I asked if that involved trimming and blowing it away, he again very condescendingly said, " We met once before right? I explained this already." No we didn't because he didn't show up, must of confused me with some other costumer. Am I hearing all this right? Who is this arrogant, guy think he is. I staring him down in a very displeased manner, while I calmly explained what I wanted. He gave me the estimate and we shook hands insincerely and he left. Pro Cut Landscaping has been our landscape company for over 20 years. Bill and his crew have cut our lawn and performed fall and spring clean up all of those years. Bill installed a fish pond for us and has done paver work as well. Most recently ( 8-22 and 23 - 2017) his men repaired the paver patio and walk in my back yard and trimmed trees and removed bushes in my front yard. The work far exceeded my expectations. I expected a reset of a few of the pavers, but his men felt the job would be better if they took up all of the pavers ( about 300 sg ft) and reset all of them. Mike came out and reviewed the work we needed, gave us great recommendations, and better/more permanent fix recommendations for our backyard draining issue, instead of recommending the other method other companies recommended that would only have addressed the issue for a year or two until the tree roots pushed up the soil again. They provided quick/excellent response times, and were able to start the work pretty quickly from the time we signed off on the quote. I saw good reviews through a different site and loved the photos so called and made an appointment. Was called by Pro Cut the next day that the appointment had to be rescheduled so we rescheduled. My appointment was set for 5:30 and by 6:00, when no one had showed up I called and left a message. I called again at 6:30 and left another message. By 5:00 the next evening I hadn't received a phone call back, even after they missed the appointment and received two messages so I called them. The woman who answered couldn't explain why no one had shown up for the appointment. She then read back an incorrect address and an incorrect phone number. I had no idea where they had gotten that address or phone number with my numbers reversed since they had used the correct number to call and change the appointment. She then told me she would look into it and call me back. That was more than two days ago and still no phone call. Thankfully there are many other talented landscapers in the area! read more

We had almost 2 dozen contractors come out this year for various project estimates and this was by far the WORST experience we've had. I called Pro-Cut to set an appt. and they were going to come out right after work. Alex, their General Manager and #2 in charge, called me in the afternoon the day of our appointment and said he was right around the corner and could he stop by to access the property. Sure. He then called back in a little while and gave me a ridiculously low estimate. so I asked him to provide me a written estimate so we could move forward with the work. A week later and no estimate received I called to follow up. Someone in the office told me he was on the phone and would call me right back. The following week, with no returned call and still no estimate, I left a message on Alex's cell phone. Then 3 days later, still no response, I decided to stop by the office. Someone in the office contacted Alex, who was out on the road, and I was told I would have an estimate the following week. The week came and went so the following Monday, I decided to try Alex one more time on his cell. I reached him and he said he was with a client but would call be right back. I'm still waiting. I highly encourage you to contact them if you unprofessionalism, being ignored, blown off and lied to. read more

Terrible service. We had someone come and do a walkthrough of our property and they made lots of promises they did not fulfill. They talk a big game but their service is awful. We paid for full service and complete spring and fall cleaning. Basically all they did was cut the lawn, I could have done that. The flower beds are still full of weeds, the edges of our property are overgrown and a mess, and none of our hedges or bushes have been trimmed. We made three appointments for someone to come to the house to take a look and they've blown us off three times with not even so much as a courtesy call to say they couldn't make it or reschedule.
