Normally…read moreyou're limited to the cinema or going for something to eat, but if you fancy something a bit different that's heaps of fun this is a really good choice. Inside there are plenty of lanes for bowling, an arcade with a good amount of games, a bar if you fancy a drink and a cafe so you can get a bite to eat. The drink is on the pricey side, so much so that I do always end up driving when we visit. I'm not much of a drinker anyway, so I kinda grudge spending silly money on it. They have recently started using glow in the dark bowling, which is loads of fun for little kids and big kids alike. Last time we visited we took our son for the first time. It recommends on the website that your child should be 4 before you take them bowling, but there aren't any age restrictions in place so we thought we would give him a try. They didn't charge us for him to play and he really loved using the ramp to bowl. (He beat both of us fyi!) The cafe food is pretty decent too and reasonably priced with lots of options for all ages. My sometimes fussy toddler devoured his food before we spent a while in the arcade area, which is always a bonus for us. I've been here on massive rowdy work nights out and for a couple of games with friends on a rainy afternoon and I always come away thinking I wish I'd visit more. If you're looking for something different to do with a couple of hours then pay Hollywood Bowl a visit. You won't be disappointed.
