Needed a mirror replaced for my bathroom and they had it all fixed by next day. Actually said if…read morethey had it in stock then could do same day. Fast and quality work

I contacted this company on behalf of my relative to repair a window for his elderly mother, who…read morewas dieing. I was in town from Florida to sit with her until she passed away. I explained this over the phone to this company. I told them that my relative, who owns the home, had a second story broken window that needed replacement. I further explained that I was NOT the homeowner, and I was NOT responsible for the home, window, or payment. I was just the babysitter. I provided them ALL of the information on the homeowner and her son, who was the legal guardian, and responsible for the estate. This was explained IN DETAIL, as I was the one who explained it. When they arrived to do the repair, my relative was not home, and I was babysitting his elderly mother. She was unable to sign the paperwork, since she was, you know, dieing, and since I was the only other adult in the home, I signed. I also, once again, provided the homeowners information, and informed this company that my relative would be responsible for the remaining balance when i gave them the deposit that my relative left for them. The window was repaired to everyone's satisfaction. So the work is not in question. A short time later, my elderly relative passed away, and I returned home to florida. A short time after that, I received a letter in the mail stating that I needed to pay the balance for the repair or they would go to a judge and they would charge ME their lawyer fees and court costs. Had they decided to put a lien on the house, that would have been the correct way to go. But threatening me to pay a bill that was not mine, just because I was the only adult home, in a house that wasn't mine, is ridiculous. I was the babysitter. This was explained to them. A simple tax search would tell them that. They searched the internet to find my florida address, why wouldn't they search the internet to confirm that the information for the homeowner was correct? It was not my responsibility to deal with this issue. I sent the payment, even though it was not my responsibility. I just hope $200 was worth the reviews they will receive.
