They were fast, efficient, polite, extremely hard-working, professional and cared about the job. We didn't even need an architect, just a handshake. Antonio felt as if he could bully, intimidate me into removing a negative review because I felt that he wasn't providing adequate service. I can attest to the fact that Antonio is NOT customer service oriented and should never interact with customers because his doing so will definitely hurt a company that really has good values, reputation and that is growing financially. As a result of Antonio's antics, I ended up writing negative reviews and even contacting the BBB to file a complaint. I thought that Antonio was the only person who could address the problem but was I so wrong. Robert contacted me on Friday, September 1, and I could tell that he was very concerned about what was happening with my roof and ceilings. He showed up on Saturday morning, with his crew, and he actually walked through my kitchen, upstairs bedroom and the attic space, reviewed the video and the photo's that were taken, and even did the water hose test. Very thorough because he actually cared and wanted to find out what the problem was. He listened to me, and for that alone, I was appreciative. He wasn't condescending, he was patient, kind and caring and thorough. He didn't treat me like I was an idiot simply because I was not a roofer. I even had to leave for a scheduled meeting and I was absolutely comfortable leaving him and his crew at my home with my kids, and of course my neighbor. He followed up, told me the next steps, scheduled the time and they showed up. No changes, now showing up when they wanted to, and a very detailed, step by step project. On Tuesday, two of his contractors showed up, and from the moment they met me, he knew my name and they were so polite, and clean, they knew their stuff. I didn't expect all that was done but after they cut through the roof, he showed me the water stains on the wood but everything was dry, then they replaced the ceiling in the kitchen and painted my entire ceiling. In addition, they went to my son's room and replaced the rotted wood wall panel that was molded, and painted it too! This was way more than I expected. Those two guys worked hard, and until they were finished. I tried to buy them lunch but they were so humble. We are praying that the leaks are all fixed (none so far) and, if anything does happen again, I know that I can reach our to Robert and He will be there! I will always contact Robert for any issues, new jobs or projects that I may have, even for my company as I am a property manager and will float their company around my company. Northland, please take this advice, Robert should be the face of the company. His customer service is outstanding and soothing. Our interaction on the phone and in person was so easy and pleasant that I almost forgot about the issues I had with Antonio. I can move on now, and trust Northland because of Robert and his crew. From me (Angel) and my kids, Alvin, Anika and Amora, You're the BEST, Robert! Thank you soooooo verrrrry muuuuch!

We…read morefirst utilized the services of Eddie Hernandez approximately 20 years ago on the recommendation of a friend. It was a small job, simply removing leaves from our gutters. Since then, we have used Eddie on a variety of projects both big and small. He has completely renovated 3 bathrooms for us, rebuilt a deck, installed a standby generator, performed maintenance on said generator, re-tiled floors, done outside and inside painting, built a shed, installed a roof, dealt with plumbing issues and countless other projects. Eddie has handled much of this work himself, but I have also trusted him to find subcontractors because when EH Home Remodeling brings on a sub, he holds them to the same standards he holds himself to. I frequently joke with Eddie that he has spoiled us because we have become accustomed to the extremely high quality of workmanship that Eddie delivers. He is dependable, pleasant and very reasonably priced. I have told Eddie many times that he should charge more (words that I thought I would never say). EH Remodeling is a terrific company which has made my life so much easier.

I owed him the $17,000 balance of the job for some weeks since I had been out of town, and he was very reasonable about waiting for the final payment. I had three people give glowing reports on Kevin and his roofing-siding business prior to my choosing/using him. These were discriminating, well-to-do people, IE, in an affluent neighborhood. One was a woodworking craftsman and engineer. From the results I say that I agree wholeheartedly with recommending them. I've been delayed in writing this review and that should not be a reflection on Patrick, Ivan and…read morethe rest of the crew. Our house is a 1770's colonial that hasn't had a lot of exterior attention in the past 15 or so years. Patrick came by and although he wasn't the cheapest guy I talked to, I liked his energy. I also liked that he had a carpenter who could address some of our neglected issues to take care of everything we needed all at the same time. The house came out great. I feel like I shouldn't have to do anything to the outside for several years. When I do, I'll give Patrick a call. We'll also be using them for some interior work when we get around to it after the holidays. Some things to know: Spend some time with Patrick walking the project and getting ideas on things that need to be addressed. He has a great eye and will notice things you've overlooked for years. Try to be on site as much as you can when they are there. Things come up and the project will go better if you can give them feedback in real time. Don't hesitate to ask them to do something over or differently. We had a few sections painted over a different color. It costs a bit more but they are happy to do what they can to make you happy. Keep an eye on your dog. Be considerate! One of my neighbors liked their work on my house and hired them to work on his. His dog bit 2 of their guys. That's not cool. If you have a dog figure out how to keep it from biting people when they work on your house. The house looks great. They are coming back to finish a few things for me and I'm looking forward to working with them again. These are the guys to use! I'll post photos one of these days!

I'll go ahead and start by saying that I wrote a lengthy email to the owner following the…read morecompletion of the exterior painting of my house with the goal of letting him know about my overall reaction to his work. I tried to paste that email here, but it was too long, so i'll summarize it below in a minute. Before I get there, the shocking matter is that the owner showed up at my house 4 hours after writing the email to confront me, telling me that I had plenty of time to tell him about the additional issues (it's been 23 hours...). While he was here, he said that my "f***ing house is a dump," and followed that with "you're a d**k, bro." I'm sure he'll respond to this post saying that's not what he said, but it all happened in front of my security camera, so it's hard to argue with a recording. The gist of the my email to him was that 1) the paint job looks pretty good (4/5) but that there were a few outstanding items that I had to handle (they took down the spot light and didn't replace it, the cable box was hanging off of the house, the touchups after I first raised an issue weren't completely done, and the paint chips were still scattered throughout the yard) - nothing crazy. I will also note that they did the job within a week of hiring, which was pretty cool. I then told him about 7 items that I found to be quite poor in terms of his operations: 1) They destroyed our garden with their feet and ladders even after advising that they stay out of it 2) When I told him two shingles needed to be added at the start of the job, they didn't do it - they just painted over the spots (note: they ended up replacing them after I flagged that it wasn't done right, and they look good). 3) Pat (owner) consistently failed to show up on time during the slots he said he would (3 times) 4) The price increased twice after he figured out they'd need to do more work (with no warning that this would be the case) 5) The crew was constantly smoking on the property 6) No one in his crew (himself included) wore a mask, including while talking to me while i was wearing one 7) Pat's communication is filled with expletives and slang - extremely unprofessional for a business owner. I told him all of this in a fact-based, unemotional manner, and said i'd give him a 3 for a review as a whole, which has now changed given his aggression and showing up on my property. As I write this, he continues to text me with aggressive rants about how my property wasn't safe for his crew (which he never mentioned - and if he thought it wasn't safe, he could have declined the job) and how i should have picked up after my animals so they didn't have to step in anything (which he never mentioned). To wrap - work product was pretty good - no argument there - but the owner and his handling of things was aggressive and incredibly unprofessional.
