I also had the Chai which was pretty good, I've had more flavorful though, a little weak on the spices. The atmosphere here is a little lacking and I would recommend take away since the food is excellent. The whole time I was there an employees daughter was watching a show on her phone loudly next to me. In also had to ask for rice which I thought should have come with the lamb since I paid extra for the naan. My total was 17£ so a decent value overall.

March 2015: We decided to eat at Mogul Indian Cuisine. When…read morewe walked in there was only one other table seated. It quickly became full, but the waiters were polite and helpful with the meal. We got the Garlic Naan, Garlic Chilli Prawns, and Murgh Tikka Masal. My friend accidentally ate a hot pepper, which looked more like a scallion, so it might have been a Thai chili since it burned her mouth. Needless to say, I finished that dish. The waiters came over to help clear dishes off the table, since ours was rather small. They offered to refill our drinks, and if we wanted any dessert before providing the check. My only criticism was how close the tables were to one other. I felt cramped, and worried if I was going to accidentally knock into someone or spill something on their table to ruin their experience.

Yees, Zis restaurant remembers me of when I was a bull fighter. Ole!…read more After a waxing my fine handlebar mustaschio, I went here. I had a drink. My friend had meal. I had glass of wine. House wine. Verry cheap. Taste is cheap, but I can drink without feeling like an angry toro with a rrring in ze nose. Price is cheap, is good. My amiga, she have a chicken vindaloo and naan and rice. I taste a bite of her food. Naan iz verry bueno like when my madre makes paella. The vindaloo, it iz hot like chili at the end, but need more spice in the middle. I mean, it not taste as flavorful as I want, flavorful like a good bull iz tasty after you eaat it's quivering flesh after OLE a bullfight, mmm arrr. Also the man who take the order, he is paying a lot attention to us, but he is trying to sell us very much we don't need. He recommends rice and naan for my friend who iz one person and doez not eat like a toro who sees a red flag. A bit pushy like my madre when I do not want to have a bull fight that day. Do try! Do try! He does no smile verry much either. The food, it iz no fine chorizo , but it iz no street pigeon. It is bueno, but not mucho bueno like how I look in my bolero and hat with tassels. Aie. aie. I like okay. They give me chocolate when I pay, which me gusto mucho!

I went to Shikara for a quick lunch with a friend, though little did I know for all the best intentions my lunch would be a full 90 minute affair. I absolutely cannot complain about the food--everything we ordered was delicious and well cooked--but the service was horrible. From waiting 10 minutes for a refill of water, to having to take our own check to the register, the food just can't make up for the level of service. For starters we split the lamb tikka and the onion bahji. The lamb was very tasty and definitely trumped the bahji in terms of flavor and general appeal. The bahji wasn't bad, but was quite greasy. Each starter was served with a salad and a very good spicy citrus salad dressing. I'd definitely recommending splitting a starter, but go with the lamb tikka if you have the choice. For the entree I ordered the lamb masala. It was good--the lamb was well-stewed and tender and the sauce was pleasant and complemented the lamb. Being a spice-wimp, I was pleased with the level of spice in my dish, and my dining partner (a spiceaholic) agreed that his dish's spice level was scorchingly perfect. We both opted to get the naan instead of rice and weren't disappointed, though the naan was a bit thick for my personal preference. It's a shame the service was so bad...I'd like to go back but don't have the time it'd require.
