From design to execution, every step of the process was thoughtful, professional, and seamless. We started with home shows and reading reviews and reached out to three different companies. We met one face to face at a home show, they didn't respond after. Another came out to our home, took some photos and came back a week later with an uninspired design and a sprinkler quote that was 3x larger than Ravenscourt. Shawn came out to our home, took photos and we made a small payment for a design proposal. When it was ready, Shawn and Laurin had my wife and I to their home and walked us through their vision for the yard. Laurin put so much thought into every detail, it was clear they genuinely cared about making this yard special for us. There was no pressure, just excitement, and you could see how passionate they are about what they do. Once the work started, Shawn explained the process step by step, introduced the team, and they got to it. The crew was there every morning, ready to go, and if bad weather delayed things, Shawn was on top of it and let us know right away. Throughout the project, he checked in regularly to see how we felt about the progress. If we had questions or ideas, he was always happy to listen and explain things. Honestly, having Shawn stop by with updates was probably one of the highlights of my day during the whole process. From start to finish, the project took about 7-8 weeks. The transformation was incredible. Since then, we've had friends over who can't stop raving about how great the yard looks. I even caught a couple of people sneaking photos!. Shawn, Laurin, and their team are talented, professional, and just all-around great people to work with. If you're thinking about upgrading your yard, don't waste your time with anyone else. I have several complaints with the company but mostly with followup service . Most of the plants were not top quality b/c of freeze. I complained of constant dieback on camellias. i have replaced three. all struggle in location of design. I lost one of 2 Traveler's redbuds. The Berkley Carex that replaced lawn look straggly and dried out all the time. Have replaced a third. i have fertilized exactly as i was told with seaweed foliar spraying. The $3000.00 i paid for a drip watering system has been inadequate to keep the majority of plants alive. i hand water constantly. I have used Microlife in all parts of landscaping as advised. When a valve was not working on drip system a month into use., i asked Shawn to take a look at it. He came out , acknowledged it needed fixing. Never came back out. i wanted easier maintenance on front yard. It has not met my expectations. Much will have to be pulled and redone with other plants. P.S. I am a gardener. i am 71 and not new to the plant world. And further more the plants that i had already added to front before Ravenscourt even set foot in my front yard are doing well(with hand watering that i now have to do to supplement terrible drip system.) The landscaping was scheduled to start on Wednesday February 22, 2023. The following listed events occurred during the initial contract with Fort Bend Backyards and the owner. * We paid $1,860.00 down payment for the horrible unprofessional, unproductive, unfinished Landscape services! We are currently due a refund of $1,000.00 for work that was never started or completed. * Based on the invoice only debris removal, site preparation and some landscaping Bullrock ground preparation have been delivered and placed in the yard. * On Wednesday February 22, 2023, they showed up at 2pm without any notification. * Everyday there was always a total lack of communications to explain where the job team was and when and what services would be completed! * They left landscaping tools and supplies laying in the yard and unsecured. They have still not been picked-up the tools. * They showed up on Thursday February 23, 2023, to work after 10am without any type of notification. * Then on Thursday 23,2023,they left our job site at 4pm to respond to previous customers completed project. The explanation provided was their previous client was requesting additional services be completed! * They left a worker at the job site for 3 hours without any job duties, landscaping supplies or any instructions for working on the job. The worker sat in our lawn chair without conducting any job duties for 3 hours while on his phone, then the worker left the job site at 4pm. * The landscaping supplies for our job were not ordered and delivered to the company prior to starting the job on Wednesday February 22, 2023. * There were other job duties, irrigation repairs, grass sod and plenty of debris removal and site preparations that could have been conducted during the day even thought other supplies had not arrived to complete any progress on the job. * I have pictures of the uncompleted work in our back yard. * On Friday February 24, 2023, We were told the anticipated time of arrive for starting the job was delayed until 2pm based on supplies needed to make any progress on the job. As of 5:00pm we had not seen the company or received any form of customer communications. We texted and called the owner Mr. Crenshaw to obtain job status information. * Again, on Saturday February 25,2023 and Monday February 27, 2023, we attempted to contact the company and owner Mr. Crenshaw. * We have never received any type of response. The company again was a NO CALL NO SHOW to complete any work! * The company did not show up or communicate in any form with us! This company is totally unprofessional or productive with providing any positive Landscaping Services!!!!

I don't understand the business practice of ghosting potential clients, but apparently they find it beneficial. I've moved on to another service.

We are excited to watch it all grow as the fig ivy covers our fence to create a screen of green and the carpet of Asian Jasmine fills in where before there was patchy grass and bald dirt. Miguel really listened and worked with us to do a major overhaul, putting up a back fence, installing sprinklers, improving drainage and even creating the perfect nook for our son's trampoline and finding a perfect little key lime tree for the back raised garden section. They installed a lovely drip type system in our raised bed as well. As the project took shape, Miguel was flexible and responsive and never made me feel we were asking too much or that he was eager to move on to his next project. It felt like we were his only customers! Although I know for sure this was not the case . His employees worked hard and were respectful and friendly at all times. It was a joy to work with this company and we are extremely pleased with our natural wonder!

The projects began by meeting with Trey Laird, and he prepared a detailed color mock-up of his ideas and a proposal with various options. He was very knowledgeable and patiently worked with us to create a finished product better than we imagined. We worked with all of his longtime crews who were very respectful to us and our home. They cleaned up after themselves every day, never blared music and kept to a tight schedule working very hard daily. No corners were cut with any of the preparations and quality work was of upmost importance. They worked with existing drainage, plumbing and sprinklers and made repairs/upgrades as needed while helping to stay within budget. Trey was also very helpful when we picked out planters so we obtained the best shape and size. Neighbors are constantly complementing our yard, and one even stopped to ring the doorbell while on a walk to share his positive thoughts. Fast forward months: - grass is looking amazing -- thick, full, great color, filling in -- (aside from a few spots from my dog getting on it by accident) - flagstone is firm, solid and gravel in between is staying put after they sprayed sealer (well worth it) - drainage is amazing, no flooding, water runs appropriately Would happily do business with these gentleman any day of the week. Only a few days later he arrived with his crew right on time. They worked hard all day long on our two adjacent lots. They were friendly and efficient. They appreciate kolaches. They removed what we thought was a tremendous amount of material, and both properties were completely cleaned up by the end of the day. We will have them back in 4 months or so to look at one very large magnolia after the winter freezes have passed. Highly recommended!
