I came here with my 20 month old son on friday simply to confirm my google search that stated at home treatment was effective. We were told that my sons condition was "concerning" and that it's an "emergency situation " that may require emergency surgery. We were terrified and scared out of our minds. The Dr. recommended going to Royal oak Beaumont. I could not understand why her suggestion for possible treatment was COMPLETELY different than ANYTHING. I had read. In fact, I read that her suggestion is extremely dangerous. We drove to Royal oak Beaumont with our exhausted 20 month old and refused to wait the 2+ hours with all the deathly ill people. Then, we drove to DMC childrens hospital in troy. They could not believe what we were told by this urgent care. They even had 3 doctors look my son to confirm. They stated they would never do emergency surgery in my sons condition and that a very simple at home treatment is how to resolve the issue (confirming what google said). We did all of this running around while we all have the flu and desperately needed rest. We went home and within 24 hours symptoms mostly resolved and within 48 he was completely back to normal. I would have had more respect for this place if they would have said, "I'm not familiar with this. I'd like to refer you elsewhere. No charge for today." Because they unnecessarily referred us to an er, we will have hundreds more in bills. Save your money, don't bother with this place. read more

Went for knee pain, swelling and loss of range of motion. Dr Gupta came in the room, didn't even lift pant leg to visualize. She pushed on the knee, said I must have twisted it and prescribed votaren gel and a knee brace. Come to find out, I have a baker's cyst that ruptured and need to see an ortho. How about actually examining the patient before diagnosing? NEVER going here again The doctor, no kidding, spent less than 60 seconds in the room read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! I'm here with my son, they have one doctor on staff, that happens to have scheduled some "procedures" today, while open to see walk in patients . We were 3rd in the room, not bad I thought.... There were 3 already in patient rooms waiting where they were unseen. Very helpful and nice staff. I felt they were as timely as they could be considering it's urgent care so they don't know who/what they'll be dealing with on a day to day basis. Reading some of the other reviews I'm not sure why some people get frustrated thinking they'll be treated like it's their primary care or like it's the ER. Urgent care is neither of those things. To start with, you can get online and make a reservation....and when you feel like crap and you arrive at urgent care and there are 15 people ahead of you, it's nice to know that you already have a spot in line. Second, the girls at the counter are NICE! Shocking, I know. They're not robotic cyborgs that hide behind their elite little glass win-door, they actually care. Third, you're in an out in not a lot of time with an accurate assessment of what's wrong, a prescription that's already been called into your pharmacy of choice and, if you need one, a work note. I can't tell you how nice it is to get to the pharmacy and not have to wait for your prescription. Fourth, they call and check on you a couple days later. Not too far from home, my go to place for sinus infections, sore throats and fevers. Probably would not come here for a deep cut, major injury. Beaumont Troy is close enough for that. Wait time can vary from 15 min to over an hour, they are good about sending the scrips to my pharmacy. The doc's get right to the root of the visit. Two stars off for the elimination of the web based reservation system , I would prefer to walk in on time and see a doc now ! read more

The woman at the front desk when I first walked in was EXTREMELY RUDE. I dont usually leave reviews for anything really, but she was so unfriendly that it actually bothered me. She had an attitude when I asked for help. It's not even like I was asking a stupid question, she told me to come to her if I had any but yet became quickly annoyed when I did actually ask her for assistance. All around bad experience checking in. The rest of the staff was pretty nice. Fiona the student working there was a total sweetheart and the PA was soo nice as well. However I was supposed to get a drug test done for my new job... they would not give me one despite me telling them that my manager requested one. So now I have to go to my new job and tell them this place wouldnt do it. Definitely would not recommend this urgent care. read more

My girls and I have been going to DocNow for over 4 years. I rather take them there instead of their regular pediatrician because I don't have to try and beg for an appointment. Every time we go I am extremely impressed with the staff, how they have the latest technology, and it's never a long wait. Now patients have the option of registering online so the wait time is less. I will never go anywhere else!! They also call the next day to check and see how your kids (or yourself) is feeling. I can't say enough great things about this urgent care!! I tell everyone about how amazing the clinic is and recommend the clinic. Thank you to the amazing staff for going above and beyond!! Thank you to all the DocNow staff and doctors!! I took my 12 month old when he was wheezing. They measured his pulse ox level as 85 (I have since learned this should have triggered an ambulance to the hospital) instead Dr. Pop didn't even administer a breathing treatment he prescribed an oral medicine and said he had a cold. They never even took his temperature. He specifically stated he didn't have an ear infection and nothing was concerning. Less then 24 hours later he was admitted to the hospital where he required breathing treatments, and multiple medications. They said he had two severe ear infection (not new according to the doctor) and a fever. We learned we inadvertently exposed friends and family to the RSV virus that can easily be deadly in small children. I understand medical professionals are humans and mistakes happen, but this was gross negligence and put my son's life at risk. read more

It was our first time and the front desk and nurses were so friendly and efficient. However, it is unfortunate that the doctor (Rivad?) we saw was extremely rude and made VERY sarcastic comments. My daughter had strep throat but the doctor poked her nose until it bled. I will never go back there. Fortunately there are quite a few Urgent care clinics nearby. read more

I have been here twice in the last few months. Once for a migraine and once for pneumonia. Both times my PCP was out of town so I had no other choice but to go to an gent care. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient. I had the same medical assistant each time I went back. She remembered me and was very caring and thorough. I had two different physicians, each were quick to get into my room, even when they were busy. They provided me with immediate treatment, take home prescriptions and a good follow up plan of my symptoms did not subside. There's not much more you can ask for out of a busy urgent care. read more

As soon as I walked in, they asked if I'd been there before, I said no, the receptionist handed be a form to fill out. Before I could leave the front desk, I was asked what I had come in for. I wheezed out 'breathing' and it wasn't 5 minutes before I was hooked up to oxygen, and the doctor was there to see me. Very friendly and caring staff, I will go back again if needed. read more

I went into this Urgent Care on a Saturday. I was happy with the front desk staff and the person who did my vitals and did my health history. I went in for shortness of breath, uncontrolled cough. The Dr(Dr Popp) came in and wanted to listen to my lungs. He proceeded to listen to my lungs through 2 layers of clothes. I had on a shirt and a sweater. There is no way you can hear accurate lung sounds through all of that. He gave me a diagnosis of wheezing but how accurate was that? I still have the same symptoms 10 days later so I'm wondering if i got a misdiagnosis. i asked him if it could possibly be pneumonia and he said no because i didn't have a fever. I'm now trying to get in to see my PCP. read more

Honestly, the exam from Dr. Altares was deplorable. The receptionists and nurses/aides are all friendly, but the doctor was exceptionally rude and short with me. I took my daughter there for a jammed finger late last Friday. They told us that the x- ray showed nothing fractured, but that they would have a radiologist look at it. I received a call Tuesday, saying the radiologist found a fracture and to get her to a hand specialist as soon as we could. I scheduled an appointment with a specialist the next day. I called the urgent care and asked for the x-ray but was told that it wasn't there; it was out to the radiologist. That sounded a little fishy. I should have pressed for more, but didn't. Anyway, when we went to the specialist he asked for the x-ray. I explained what had been said to me. He had his assistant call the urgent care and request that they email the x-ray to them, as my daughter was sitting in their office. Doc Now Urgent Care refused to do so, saying something about the lines not being secure - something along the lines of confidentiality and secure lines (can't recall the exact words). The specialist's assistant was told that the only way to get the x-ray disk was for me to drive over (about a 15-20 minutes drive) and pick the disk up. So, my daughter and I drove the 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back to pick up the x-ray on a CD. My daughter's name was written both on the CD itself, as well as on the envelope it was in. When we got back to the specialist, he took us right back, and looked at the CD. Unbelievably, the urgent care gave us the x-ray of another person. Our doctor called urgent care himself, totally exasperated by the debacle. The urgent care had been so worried about "security" yet they totally breached security and confidentiality by giving us the x-ray of another patient. Unbelievable! We spent almost the entire morning trying to get this matter settled and get my daughter's x-ray! Needless to say, we will not ever go back to the DocNow Urgent Care in Rochester Hills! read more

Let me start off by saying I've gone to this urgent care 10+ times throughout the years for flu/cold/sinus and other minor issues. The staff is nice, the office is clean, the wait is okay and its convenient to pick up prescription at Wellpoint pharmacy. It wasn't until my last visit that changed how I felt. I had a horrible stomach virus and had to return to the clinic two days in a row. They decided to put me on IV and also give me a shot on my buttocks. Here is where the problems started: The doctor had a hard time finding my veins (I have good thick veins that no one has ever had trouble with), that took 15 minutes. Then the nurse came in to set up the IV cart only to leave to find two other nurses to verify if she had set it up correctly (to which she did not). I thought everything should be okay after the doc returned to start the IV, only to wake up from my nap to discover at least half of the IV bag had soaked my clothes, the bed, and the floor(obviously it wasn't connected properly). The funny thing is, three nurses and two doctors came to check on me and saw this but every one of them said they don't know why it happened and dismissed it. To add insult to injury, the shot on the buttocks was administered roughly and poorly that I was in a lot of pain for weeks after. It is now two months after this visit, I still have a bump from the shot where a bruise has formed under the skin. Bottom line is, if you are just looking for a clinic that can diagnose known issues and give you prescription for them, this place will be just fine. If you are looking knowledgeable practitioners and nurses that has proper medical training, go somewhere else. read more

This place is excellent! I was not feeling well and was apprehensive about going to an unknown place. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable. The place is very clean and welcoming. I was given a few forms to fill out where they asked pertinent information. The nurse that took care of me was courteous and efficient. My information was already in their computerized data base and the nurse proceeded to take my vitals and ask more health related questions which she entered into their data base. The doctor arrived after waiting for a few minutes. She was very professional, nice and made me feel she was paying attention to my case completely. She explained my condition and what was happening, asked questions and answered all the questions my husband and I had. She took time to reassure me as to what kinds of activities I could pursue . This urgent care center closes at 10:00 pm. I arrived at 9:30 pm and was in a room by 9:50 pm.They had 3 other patients that I saw in the reception area when we were waiting. It was 10:10 pm when the doctor arrived to see me. I was afraid she would be rushing because it was past their closing time. To my surprise she was very calm and didn't rush at all. Before going to this place I used to feel apprehensive about becoming ill at times when my doctor's office is closed. Now I feel that I have a great resource close to my home. I will not hesitate to go back there if my doctor is not available. read more

I visited the clinic last night for evaluation of an injury to my foot/ankle and for a flu shot. All of the staff members - receptionist, medical assistant, x-ray techs, and the doctor were very friendly and efficient. The doctor did a thorough evaluation of my ankle, was very kind, and provided thorough explanations and suggestions for care. I will use this clinic again should the need arise in the future. read more

I visited about 2 weeks ago. The staff was courteous and I didn't have to wait for a long time. I saw Dr.Marcy Klein. I thought she was very attentive, personable and gave me excellent care. On another occasion, my husband saw Dr. Klein for a split in his eyebrow he acquired in a basketball game. She did a terrific job on the repair and there is little scar evidence. My brother visited Doc Now on Christmas Day and received excellent care for a severe case of poison ivy. He is not easily impressed, but gave the facility high marks for their care. After each visit, we received a followup call to inquire on our condition. I would recommend this urgent care to anyone. It has been my best experience at an urgent care facility. read more

My son was diagnosed with the Flu. The reason I am writing this post is because the doctor told me that he had a virus and was sending me home. I had to request the flu test since it was not offered. The nurse returned and stated, "that boy is potent. The test came back positive right away." How do you not test a 3 year old with flu symptoms during the flu season!? I then called later that afternoon to request preventative doses of tamiflu for my mother-in-law, my husband, and me. I finally received a phone call at 9PM from the nurse informing me that the doctor won't prescribe it, and we should call my primary care doctor even though this urgent care doctor was already informed about my husband's recent surgery and blood clots. I called them yesterday to discuss my concern about the doctor with management and was told that "I might get a phone call back, but she couldn't promise." They all seemed to be in a meeting. After waiting in the waiting room for 15 minutes before the receptionist asks me to wear a mask. I came in for what I thought was the stomach flu but it had been 2 weeks so needed further advisement...after already paying my copayment the receptionist tried shaming me and stating that they could not do any tests...like Why am I there? She had no right to try to diagnose/question my reason for coming in. When I finally got in a room the receptionist rudely asked my husband and baby to leave the room which was supposedly doctor requested and with no explanation as to why. The PA was nice and tried standing up to the receptionists rudeness but it sounded like the receptionist played the victim and made it about her feeling attacked by the PA. I waited another 15 minutes by myself in the room angry and unsure if they could do anything because of the receptionists poor treatment because the doctor had a phone call she apologized for. The doctor was nice and thorough but a bit awkward and uncomfortable. It was a horrible experience and I would never go back! read more

Terrible! There are many choices out there. I would avoid this place. I'm a RN and work at a nearby hospital. I seriously question how they practice here. I took my 2 year old daughter in for a suspected ear infection. Dr. Klein DO (it appears no longer works here) walked in smelling of cigarette smoke and didn't even wash her hands. She attempted to look in both my daughters ears, stated one was filled with wax and couldn't see it (odd when our PCP days later could). She proceeded to look into the other ear and said yeah, it's an ear infection and wrote a script. She did not listen to her lung sounds, look in her throat or do anything else for that matter. My daughter was coughing and visibly sick. Really? Your assessments are that focused?! Then I get a bill for $200 and even that was different from what I was quoted. Called repeatedly to speak with the office manager. Left many messages and also talked to the receptionist multiple times who gave me the run around every single time I called. The office manager would NOT return my calls. What office manager doesn't return calls? One that doesn't exist is my guess! Absolutely unprofessional!! Nothing about this whole appointment was acceptable. Honestly, I'm not sure how they're still in business. I would take your business and health elsewhere! read more
