I requested real estate representation services from an individual employed by the firm. I had a few initial doubts after observing certain things but they were minor and the representative did not initially present as problematic. I was very clear about my expectations and timelines that I needed met. I kept open lines of communication. I conveyed my wishes in the beginning which overtime they just kind of were ignored. I experienced a multitude of varying issues and when I spoke up, a lot of things were either written off or just completely ignored intentionally .I noticed when I became firm and persistent and trying to get the issues that I observed addressed. I was demeaned, condescended, and spoken down to. I was provided inaccurate or misleading information. The communication left a lot to be desired. The overall lack of professionalism and hostile treatment was a very disappointing. The representative that I worked with went from being decent to being very combative and rude. More than once said representative attempted to coerce me into signing documents that did not align with what was communicated. Not once did they take the feedback and inquires as constructive so that solutions could be reached, they simply attempted to shift responsibility on the client (me) and they were disrespectful . To make a long story short, the representative was NOT respecting my wishes nor did they have my best interests in mind. It was a lot of unnecessary stress, that honestly just was not worth it. I do my best to patronize groups that are traditionally disenfranchised such as small/local businesses or minority owned businesses such as veterans or woman etc or owner- operated businesses, but this experience made me reevaluate everything.

I have been debating for a while now whether to post a review or not, but a friend of mine…read moresuggested I do so. My Realtor was Kevin Taylor- I was referred to him by 2 different people. They both spoke highly of him and assured me he was THEE go to realtor in VA beach. I met with him, told him exactly what I was looking for, and we went to check the places out. I was only interested in Town Homes so thats what we were looking for. Once I found the house I wanted, everything seemed to be going well. I got approved extremely fast, paperwork was getting signed within the next couple weeks then things took a left turn. The broker began to send me all the documents my realtor should of gotten, so i would forward them to him each time. A few days before my walk through and closing, I text Kevin to make sure he was still coming to my walk through. He said no, he had a meeting. I then text him to see would he make it to the closing, he said no. At that moment I felt that it was unprofessional to not represent your client and see me through the entire process from start to end. After i signed my papers for closing, the loan manager gave Kevin a call to let him know that I received my keys. He text me and said congrats and he wants to come by one day. I eventually responded and told him when i would be home.. i never heard from him or seen him after that. About a month later he sent over papers for me to sign and continued to press the issue of me signing the papers to cover him and his company basically. If I would of known then what i knew now i would of fired him during the process. But hey, you live and you learn. A friend of mine is in escrow now ( with a different real of course) and i got to witness what a realtor is suppose to do for their clients. She is amazing to say the least. For future references, If you are looking to buy a town home and its still getting built you don't need a realtor. Do it own your own. You're only giving your realtor a good $8,000 to do nothing.
