We got Priority One to install an alarm system in the house we built in 2019. I had several requests, one was that the system be TOTALLY WIRED, NO BATTERIES... The salesman said that was not a problem. Let me explain my thinking... The alarm system we installed in 1999 had sensors with batteries and about once every month or two, one would die or run low. They were good about coming out and replacing them. Even got to know our guy, Woody, by first name... He would leave me extra batteries so that I could replace them. That's nice, but this was a vacation home and I really did not like the alarm system giving me trouble multiple times a year. Now we have a new home in Anderson... I really did not want to have 30 batteries scattered around the house in doors and windows... Until a day ago, I was under the impression that I did not have any batteries, just like I was promised... About 2AM We got a "LOWBAT Zone 13 Downstairs Den" warning... Yep, we have batteries... That ticks me off. I got instructions from Priority One on how to change the batteries. The nice lady said just go to Lowes to get a few. Guess what... They are no longer manufactured. I have seen them for sale on the web for up to $55 bucks each! These are simply long AAA diameter batteries that are 3 volts. (unfortunately they are shorter than 2 AAAs, or I would just tape two together.). I can order one from China for $2.50 plus $35 in shipping... LOL... NOT GOOD... THIS IS NOT HOW YOU MAKE CUSTOMERS HAPPY!!! read more

I have a review on Google about contracts with Priority One. This is about technical service issues. Our system was showing a "duct detector error." It happened to be time for an annual inspection of the system. We called to schedule that Inspection and asked for the error message to be checked while the annual service was being done. The tech arrived late for the appointment and rushed through the job. The inspection form says he inspected the duct detector, but he did not. There were no notes on the inspection form (just a lot of checks) about any issues and he left without speaking to anyone. We received a $135 bill for this visit as if it was a service visit. This was a yearly maintenance visit for which i paid $30 a month, totaling $360 a year. The man had only 1.75 hours before we would have clients in the space. The same duct detector error message popped up again in a few weeks.* When I called customer service to question the $135 bill, I received incredibly rude behavior. I was told that my business manager had called them and asked for a service call "ASAP", and had authorized all charges. This was just not true. Security One had contacted US to schedule the inspection, and we called them back to do that. We let them know about the duct detector problem since they were coming anyway. And the service tech didn't even look at the duct detector. Customer Service argued and argued with me about this. I finally got that charge removed by calling the owner. *So the error message was back and we called Security One again. We were told this time that they could not service the duct detector (which they had installed) and that we would have to call an HVAC person. The HVAC guys we found were very nice but said that all they knew to do was to replace the duct detector. I didn't see that I had any other options. It cost me ~$425 for the service and ~$425 for the new duct detector. Alas, there was still an error message on the system. It was different, but still an error message. Again, call Security One. This time I did get tech service to work with me over the phone, but we could not clear the error message. They agreed to make a service call. A register wire was found that was not connected. On the first service call, the technician disconnected the wire to silence the alarm. He was questioned and blamed this on the ladies in the office, saying that he disconnected it because they were concerned about the alarm making noise. However, they did not speak to him about this at all. Again I was billed $135 to fix what a Security One person did wrong but I did not have trouble getting this reversed. Unbelievable. Way too much time and effort on my part (and theirs.) Poorly run company. Don't go there! read more

After 20 years of being a client and never having a monthly increase, i today got a notice that my monthly fee is increasing!!! This has to be the worst company ever to do that to the public during this time. We have a pandemic that is killing people left and right we have people out of jobs we have people struggling to put food on the table and keep their lights on and this company increases the monthly monitoring fee. I will be searching for another security company in January 2021 and I suggest everyone else to do the same. Not to mention where is the appreciation for loyal clients who have helped build your business for the past 20 years? read more

I was a customer with this company for 5 years and never had a issue until I wanted to upgrade my old equipment that was already bought and paid for. The salesman wouldn't give me what I wanted talked me out of the new updates and therefore I took my business elsewhere. I also gave them notice to cancel my service and yet they still continued to take payment from my account. I wouldn't recommend this company for anything. read more
