Sadly, this became an expensive nightmare. While they claim they print and bind PhD thesis, they…read morehave no clear idea what it entails or what the format is...even though they say they print for Bristol University. A new PhD program Bath Spa led me here. The other printer we tried to use was confused as to the color of the cover, ad so, at the last minute, and at double the cost, I used this establishment....the cost caught me off guard. When I contacted them on Friday and it was explained to me that with the Bank Holiday, it would be printed on Tuesday. That was fine, but it was not explained to me that even though they had the file, it was scheduled for Tuesday, that this would be considered SAME DAY printing...clearly Friday is not Tuesday...When I repeatedly asked for a quote, it was ignored. When I gave my credit card information after the job began, I suddenly realized that I was charged for 24 hour rush service even though they had the file end of day on Friday and had already opened and checked it and scheduled the job. Now, the larger problem was that the product they delivered was not right. And if it's not right, you can't graduate. The Bristol University PhD printing format is the same as Bath Spa...The only difference between the two universities is that BSU wanted a navy cover with silver lettering and Bristol has gold and black...The printer had that part correct. Yeah. They also caught the mailman and gave him the package so that it was in BSU's hands the next day. Yeah again...Unfortunately, when BSU opened the package...the printing on the cover was wrong. My name, the year, and the title of my thesis was supposed to be on the cover. That's the way it always is. It wasn't. The confusion came in when a employee of the store wrote out of concern because the lettering on the cover could not be printed in the required manner. Which was odd...as for some reason they couldn't put the title in all capital letters, only one cap. at the start of each word. So she sent a PDF of the cover with two lines of print on it and asked if this looked okay. If the color right, etc. I sent the email onto my adviser at BSU...and both of us thought it looked fine...HOWEVER I did write the employee back as I was concerned that since she'd sent these two lines for our approval and not the entire finished cover, I needed to know that she was planning to print everything needed on the cover. So I wrote and asked specifically..."but you will print the rest of the title and such on the cover, right? Not just these two lines but all of it".....(I had earlier sent an email which specifically mentioned the need for the year, etc. on the cover) and as it is standard practice to print the name...The employee came back and reiterated that she had just sent TWO LINES from the cover...Again. Okay. I didn't mean to treat her like she was stupid. I was just concerned. Well, as you can imagine, when the cover arrived at BSU with only the title on it, it was a huge issue. I wrote this printer and asked if he could just add my name and the date to the cover. And since it was a mix-up, could he pay for the postage to send it back to BSU? As I'd paid double for overnight service and received this in four days, I didn't think it was a big deal to ask for this. IT WAS. :) The email from this establishment was so absurd. I was to pay to have the entire project redone or else pay an untold amount to have it rebound completely..at rush charges, clearly. These sad folks really have no clue. After his email, I sent several pointing out that his employee never sent us a complete proof of the cover to sign off on, so if she didn't understand that we needed the date and name on there, we really had no way to tell her. An experienced printer would know this. After repeated silence, I told him that he should never email me or speak to me again. This was such horrible customer service, and such a rip off...beware. Really...run.

When I explained how fast I needed…read morethem, they made sure they received my email whilst I was on the phone, they also double checked the file. I picked the print up the next morning. You don't usually get speed, quality and price, but with these guys you do.

Well...I had a recent print job with JamJar, which for one reason and another I didn't get on time…read more(there's really no point in going into the details but in essence it came down to a mis-communication). While I believe they are a good printers and will give you something that looks and feels like it has been professionally printed, the level of service that I received just was not good enough. Bad communication. Bad service. Good printing. I'm trying to stay as impartial as possible so I'll leave it down to you to make your own judgement.

This firm took our money but failed to deliver the service we paid to receive. Trust is a huge…read morefactor in the flyer distribution business but naturally we always perform checks on new suppliers. Out Of Hand claim to demonstrate staff are doing their jobs by getting them to send you selfies at the beginning and end of the booked shifts. But our photos show their staff did not actually work for the allotted time. When we performed a check, at 6pm on 24 March 2017 at Bethnal Green Tube Station, we found no sign of the Out Of Hand distributors we had booked to work from 5pm - 7pm. When we contacted Out Of Hand's commercial director Nigel Muntz we were at first told the distributors had all "gone to get a bottle of water". We acquired photographic evidence showing the distributors were not present at the location and we waited until 7pm to confirm they did not return to complete any part of the shift.

The van looks very professional, and it's brought in alot of business for his company - many citing the van rather than his rather 80's looking website! Thats not to say that his website is from the 80's, which would be pretty impressive, it's just to say it looks very 80's like... imagine madness in internet page form! The company seems to cover everything from vehicle signs, to shop windows to office signs! You need it, they have a sign for it (that's what the slogan should be!)

Quite recently my friend has started to organise partys for other people as a kind of side project…read moreot her full-time job, the great thing for her now is that she is starting to make more money than she does working in an office sat at her desk answering phone calls for the majority of the day. Her plan is to soon leave her job, and make party planning her life - I envy her alot. The main problem is that not many people know about what she does yet so she came up with the idea of plastering her new role over her car, thankfully she didn't do it herself with a tin of emotion and a fat paint brush. Instead she opted to consult Rockwell Signs, and so the other day we both went to visit them (she needed me for 'morale support') and the designs they have for her are very impressive, and at a very good price. We are just waiting now for her to get her car converted into the party mobile, so keep your eyes peeled on the roads of Bristol!
