But the bigness of the company almost works against them. One of the reasons I often choose local companies is because of the kind of service and attention I get. When you order with them, there's a real push to do it online. That's great if you know what you need and what you're doing, but for someone who doesn't have this stuff made every couple of months it could be difficult and you may find the service at a smaller shop to be more up your alley. In a world where online printing companies are now super, super, UBER cheap it's often going to be more affordable to just send it off to Texas or California, even with shipping. I mean, if I'm submitting it all online anyway it becomes a pure price game. The good news is that they are local and real people do work there, so you can work a little closer with them if you need to. They've been around a long time and can handle just about any size project. And it's not just banners--they do tablecloths, car wraps, stand up banners, window banners (decals? wraps?) and a whole host of other promotional or products. Give the website a whirl if you're curious, but realize that if you're going to get a banner or project done just online, you can do a little research and save some money. Hopefully they'll be willing to walk you through it if you go in or pick up the phone.

They had made me a proof of a document that I had messed up, and I had to go back two days in a row to view two new prints after messing up my document I sent over. The second day I stopped by, I was questioning if I needed to send over another print, because the documents were larger than I expected (due to my error, not Alphagraphics). I was already having a hard day, had already had a difficult week, and was particularly stressed about this project and how many times I had messed it up. Mitch, the guy at the front desk who I had only met once briefly the day before, simply said "Corynn, you're being too hard on yourself." This sounds so cheesy, but I'm not exaggerating when I say I almost teared up in that moment just because I had several moments of feeling overwhelmed throughout the week, and this particular moment of me messing up the document a third time was my last straw. The documents ended up looking great, I used them for an event, no one seemed to notice the small errors/critiques I had of them myself, and Mitch was right, I was being too hard on myself. After he opened his present, we made sure to go in store and have him sit on the chair to make sure that it was comfortable and he liked the feel of it. He loved the chair, so we went home and began assembling it. However, on the very last step of assembly (:pulling the plastic off the backing of the chair), we discovered about a 1 inch slice through the leather. Knowing that the return policy required an unassembled item for a full refund/exchange, I was a bit nervous about how much of a hassle the return process would be. We gave this location, a call, and they told us to bring the assembled item in the box to the store and they would help us out. We showed up and the process could not have been more easy and smooth. Abraham, the manager, was so kind and understanding about the situation. The resolution was very smooth and we were able to get a refund in full.
