Ahh Print Bots. You total Legends. As per Dan G's review, we needed some custom printing done for our upcoming nuptials and wanted to (ideally) keep it local. As we had done some business with them for our community market (flyers), we knew these guys did great quality work and were based just down the road in Digbeth. After Dan had done the digital designs, we had a mooch on the website to check out the prices. We found them to be highly competitive with other online retailers and were sold on their cute branding and good ethos. As well as the items we needed they offer many other services (such as stickers, posters and business cards). We didn't need the items in a major hurry, so just selected their standard service for our needs. After Dan had uploaded the designs to site and selected our items, we were good to go! As all the payment and process was based through their website; we were saved the hassle of having to go down to the Custard Factory to drop anything off. The items were printed and we were notified to collect within a couple of days. You can select delivery for a small fee, but as we're always in and out of the City Dan opted for collection (which is free). The items are totally spot on. All of the materials were fantastic quality and communication, ordering and delivery was a total breeze. I have used Print Bots (formerly Street Print) before in my day job, and have always been impressed with their service as a professional print company. The range of printing they offer is what you would expect from a company of its ilk, but the enivironmentally friendly recycled options demonstrate this is a self-aware business operating in the noughties. Repeat business has been sent their way, and each time the company has delivered whether the job was mass mail-out cards, posters or super-swanky business cards; each time, the results have been nothing short of perfect, with the team delivering what was required in an efficient and timely manner (turn-around is pretty quick, 2-3 days). As well as this, the staff are all very personable, both polite and down-to-earth over the phone and coming across as quite a young team, heads firmly screwed on. We needed somewhere to get some printing done for our wedding and wanted to use somewhere local and preferably independent, I knew print bots had been used by 24 Carrots market who I did the design work for and I was impressed with the results so after a brief bit of ferreting around online I uploaded my files to their site and ordered my printing. Being a skinflint I decided to collect from store and we weren't in any major rush so I opted for standard turnaround and was given an estimated completion date of today (17th June). By 10:30 I had an email saying my stuff was ready, by 11:30 I was down there and by 11:33 I was out the door with 250 fantastic looking A6 cards and a spectacular 1.5m banner (when I say these looked great I'm talking about the print quality, not my design work which was a little shonky in places). If that's the speed of their regular turnaround they must move at warp speed for their express! I can highly recommend these guys to anyone needing some printing of any kind! I first came across Printbots when looking for somewhere to print flyers for my band. I needed a thousand A3 flyers printed on both sides. Like a typical musician I'd left it to the last minute to get the job done, and I wasn't entirely sure on the design. Luckily Printbots sorted me out within a few days, charged me a price I was happy with and even sorted out the design problems, all done with politeness and charm. Many of my contacts from the music scene also use Printbots - this is how I found them. They also offer a range of services that I have yet to sample, such as vinyl printing and business cards. Print shops in Birmingham would never be my specialist subject on Mastermind. However, if someone was to ask me to recommend one, I'd recommend Printbots because of the excellent service I have received from them, and the fact that I haven't heard anyone who's used their services complain about them. read more

I've used a high street franchise for years for my printing needs, even when I moved and then someone recommended Print Bots to me. First off, the only drawback for me is that they are located all the way over in Fazeley Street (which is obviously great for the very many small businesses in the Digbeth/Custard Factory area) but the prices and service make up for the trek across the city. I've used them twice so far for business cards and for some band promotional flyers both times turned around the next day. As they say themselves ' Birmingham's Favourite Next Day Printer.' I'm just finalising flyers for another project and all I need to do is email the artwork across for them to check all is OK before printing. At £48 for 1000 flyers, I see no reason to use anyone else. And the exercise does me good. read more
