Dr Mishkn is a quiet patient doctor and always listens to whatever is said to him. He seems very mild mannered and does a great job with dad. I am glad Dr Mishkin is my fathers primary physician.

Rude and incompetent a horrible combination. A test for my heart was never ordered until I came in and got the blood drawn again 2 weeks later. Now I can't get the results or a referral to a cardiologist or even make an appointment with the doctor because she blocked my phone from calling the office. Totally dangerous and unprofessional. Unfortunately, doctor Mishkin lets this behavior go unchecked and his patients are suffering. Imagine. A doctor's office blocking a sick patient's phone.

My appointment is at 2pm, they told me to come in the morning for the blood work and come back later for physical exam. The front desk and the nurses were all friendly and nice. It looks like they keep the window of the reception closed. To check in, you just ring the bell on the desk, they will greet you shortly. There are plenty of parking spaces around the building. Entrances are at each side of building, remember the entrance you come in from, so you can find the right exit when leaving. Doctor office is located at 2nd floor, stairs and elevator are both available. The nurse who draw off my blood was very good at what she's doing! She's fast and patiently explain to my questions. Dr. Wong is nice too. He's from Hong Kong, he also speaks my native language, Mandarin. He definitely eased my nerves.

It's a small office and Dr. Wong is the only attending physician. They got a small office but the staff is friendly. Dr. Wong seemed nice. Because this our first visit, Dr. Wong asked a lot of questions. However, some of those questions sound weird and maybe a bit personal. When it comes to doing our blood work, they took two attempts to get the needle in me. I had blood work done by my last doctor and never had any issues. Unfortunately, my wife was not so lucky. They must have stuck needles in my wife's hands and arms in 6 different spots and still couldn't manage to draw any blood out. We ended up getting the blood work done at Quest near our house. We also had some other tests done but they never call us back with the results. A few days later I got mine back but they couldn't find my wife's. I think it's okay going to a small doctor's office, but the staff just seemed a little confused or unorganized.

My friend, who is also a physician, replied negatively and basically he was told that he was wrong in coming back to the ER even though he was unable to breathe and his oxygen level had dropped significantly. A patient with pneumonia in both lungs and who has trouble breathing and who is getting no relief from a breathing machine at home should not be made to feel guilty by his PCP. in my opinion, it's egregious bedside manner and if my wife and I had been at the hospital this morning, we would have asked the doctor to leave the room because he was upsetting our dear friend.

He recommended me for an MRI of the brain when I passed out last year, and said depending on the results he would refer me to a neurologist. Another specialist explained the blackout was likely due to a UTI, but Dr. Chandran wanted to be sure. A few weeks after enduring the trauma (mildly claustrophobic) and hefty expense (these are not cheap, even with insurance!), Dr. Chandran said it was fine & I went on my merry way. Several months later, my new life insurance company is reviewing my history, and ask me why I never followed up as directed w/a neuro, per my records with Dr. Chandran. I was taken aback. As it turns out, the office NEVER RECEIVED MY MRI RESULTS! Dr. Chandran told me I was cleared WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT THE RESULTS of the MRI I had to pay hundreds out of pocket for! That is crazy irresponsible to begin with! The crazy show that ensued in GETTING the MRI results back was a full-on drama of its own. Why you would refer a patient to a specific MRI center then ask them to help you in getting the results every step of the way is beyond me. You would think they would, after realizing this error, bend over backwards to rectify this matter.. Nope! Instead, they hassled the insurance company when they asked them to please update their files to reflect my accurate medical history. They had paid twice at this point, the second time for nothing. It took me going to the office and arguing through my entire lunch break to get them to provide corrected records to the insurance company. There was urine in a cup sitting on the counter. Back in the waiting area I was asked for my Driver's License so they could copy it. I reminded them I was self-pay, so there was no need for my Driver's License. (I've been told insurance companies require doctor offices to be able to prove a patient's identity). Person: It's the law. Me: It's a law that I have to give a doctor's office my driver's license? Person: Yes, it's the law. We have to verify your identity. Me: I told you who I was. Person: We need to verify it. Me: None of my four other doctors have required my driver's license. Person: That's our protocol. Me: So is it a law? Person: It's our protocol. Me: I'm confused, is it a law? Person: I don't know. Me: I'm not comfortable giving my social security number or a copy of my driver's license when it's not needed. The fewer times I provide that information, the less my chances of identity theft. Plus, I will pay my bill in full before leaving. Person: It's our rule. During a routine 6-month physical, staff performed an EKG. Shortly after, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) informed me that I was actively having a myocardial infarction (a heart attack) and ordered me to rush to the ER. In a state of total panic, I went straight to Baptist Health ER, where they initiated full cardiac protocols, including blood work, x-rays, and monitoring. After a terrifying 45-minute wait, the ER physician reviewed the paperwork brought from Dr. Stein's office and discovered a glaring error: the second page of the report explicitly stated that the EKG leads had been placed on the wrong side of my body. It was a false positive caused entirely by staff incompetence. When I called the practice to report this, the NP was incredibly dismissive, stating, "My bad, I don't read those interpretation notes." I spoke with the Office Manager, who promised that she and Dr. Stein would follow up with me. It has now been two weeks. I have received zero follow-up, no apology, and they haven't even called to give me my routine blood work results. As a cancer survivor, regular blood monitoring is critical to my ongoing health. To completely ignore a patient after a traumatizing, costly, and entirely avoidable ER scare is unacceptable. Please be warned and protect your health--avoid this practice.
