I've had several large orders of recital programs printed here. I felt that their prices were a bit too high, but considering it's Princeton I paid about what I expected to pay. The programs were flawlessly executed and exactly as I had agreed upon with the salesperson. They were also ready exactly when they were supposed to be, which is obviously important. This place is on Nassau Street, so don't necessarily expect to find parking during busy times- at least not in front of the place. Princeton is so walkable, though, that it's really not that big of a deal. read more

I got my thesis printed here. Seven copies in all: five vinyl copies as gifts, one leather copy for me, and one library copy. The final results were nice, and it is good to work with a printer that knows Princeton's library requirements. But communication and quality issues made the process challenging. I had to call repeatedly before I managed to make an online order. The turnaround for binding was slow (not their fault), and when I finally got the thesis, a mechanical failure had caused severe streaking in the print. They had not noticed this, and I'm lucky that I did before it was too late. They replaced the order and let me keep the old copy, which was very generous. However, I had to make multiple trips. In the end, I got my thesis with hours to spare, even though I had ordered it more than two weeks in advance. Considering the premium price tag--I paid $580 in all--I might have done things a little differently in retrospect. I still would have bought the library copy with them, as they know what they're doing there. But if I wanted personal copies, I might have turned to an online service. read more

You've heard that businesses that turn a negative experience into a positive one will create a better relationship with the customer than with customers who had a plain old good experience in the first place? This is one of those places for me. I was asked to pick up an order for my employer, and way before I walked in the door there was a whole knotty mess of confusion over what was ordered, picked up, paid for, ordered again, etc. When I got there I was met with two personalities-- a very nice, helpful young woman (pregnant at the time of writing--thanks for your help!) and an uncooperative, short tempered older woman. (If you meet with the older woman, turn around and come back when you can talk to someone else.) Luckily, the older woman got frustrated enough with the situation that she removed herself and the young woman was able to help me puzzle through the situation. In the course of things, I also met a very nice middle aged man (probably the owner?) who compensated for the older woman's surliness, to some degree. The takeaway is that they found our misplaced order, took back the item that we had paid for but didn't want, and gave us a refund of the difference. All's well that ends well, as long as you don't have to talk to that one lady. read more

i Have been using Princeton Printers for nearly seven years since moving to Princeton in 2014. The service is excellent. Not once did they do a job incorrectly or miss a deadline. Being busy with travel several years ago I would sometimes forget to pick up something I had left at the store and come back in a month later and with great kindness one of the very professional staff: As I recall Chris,or Sherene would kindly say: ' Mr Mariotti you left something here and here it is'. I highly recommend them in every way. Another thing that is important is that their pricing is always fair and just as valuable is their true love of solving a problem which is the heart of customer service. When you are trying to figure something out they take the extra time to help you. I remember my first month in a new town that I had always wanted to live in and knew few people; For some reason I had to find a typist to type something very specialized for a book I was researching and they spent several hours finding someone that could still type on an old type writer. Another time feeling lonely I decide to have a party for my birthday so I could meet people; Sadly as it was the morning of the day I could not find a anyone to cater it looking a bit down and discouraged one of the staff offered to help me get organized and get it done: I will never forget what they said: "You got this Steve" and sure enough my secretary and I pulled it off and I suddenly had 100 people coming to Avalon Princeton a wonderful place by the way, where I was happily living at the time. I went to the the Princeton printer in Bordentown NJ and my experience was not the best! It took about a month and a half to just look at samples for colors while she told me it would be a couple days. I had only two months to send out my invitations. There is a lot of non communication with the employees. When I go in no one knows what is going on or what things should look at. And now my thank you cards it doesn't look even and there is no stamps and addresses on them which I wanted. So please DO NOT go there! read more

The architecture firm I work at often has proposals that need to be coil bound at the last minute. Princeton Printer is always accomodating and quick with turnaround. The results are usually neat and professional-looking even though they sometimes mis-punch the sheets and ask for them to be re-printed.
