Kim Mastrianni went out of her way to help us in a very hectic house search. We live out of state…read moreand only had a couple days to schedule showings across a wide geographic range. I must have sent her like a million emails and she handled everything like a champ, even doing a Skype showing of one property beforehand since we would not have been able to fit it into our schedule. She was super knowledgeable about the area and provided very fair, unbiased advice about each property. I felt like I had someone on my side, not someone just trying to close the deal at any cost (like I have felt with some realtors in the past). We ended up choosing a property in VT which was unfortunately outside of her range, but again Kim was supportive and wanted us to be happy and find the right home for us. If you're looking for a realtor in SE NH, don't think twice about choosing Kim. She'll exceed all your expectations and will give you the honest outlook you need to make a good decision!! 11/10 would recommend!!

The landlord my roommates and I rented through was one of the most unprofessional people I have…read moreever dealt with. He was reluctant to provide the services in which he was responsible for. The house was in very low quality move in condition with little to know cleaning done prior to new tenants. In the 2 years we rented with him we had 5 guys in the house (which was against the rules) and still had the rent increase. On several occasions he made claims of not receiving our rent checks even after cashing them! The contractors that were hired did not finish their jobs, and if they did the repair would only last for a couple months. Throughout renting our landlord would tell us how much he appreciated us and respected us only to turn to our parents and say the complete opposite, never addressing problems with us. Finally comes his fabricating of truth on the security deposit. Claims were made of us intentionally damaging property that had been either damaged or in very poor condition upon our move in. He has attempted to charge us more than our rent without evidence of damage and itemized quote from contractor. His intentions were to pay to repair his house with our money. If you are in the area and interested in renting with this company steer clear of Ed!

It's been years and I'm still thinking about this experience, so I've decided to write this review…read morenow. For what it's worth, the bathrooms and rooms are nice and the kitchen is very nice. All the appliances worked. Now for the bad: I did not expect to have many encounters with management because I am a very boring tenant. The same cannot be said about the couple above me, who frequently had shouting matches, and my roommate, who frequently smoked pot. I rented the Mills because it was cheap and let me rent a room for 6months. According to Sue, the general manager, I trashed the place so badly on moveout as to make it disgusting and unlivable. I had a dispute with my roommate, and he took it to Sue, who immediately took his side and inserted herself into the disagreement. She accused me of stealing, of being purposefully disgusting, etc. When I worked things out with my roommate (I apologized and it was warranted, some of my food had gone bad in the fridge when I moved out), she still threatened my security deposit. I had cosigned with my dad for a discount and asked him to step in after it was clear that Sue did not respect me-- She hung up on him twice and was confrontational in emails with him as well. I cannot imagine dealing with this as a young adult. Sue does not respect students or parents. Her unprofessional messages (typos, all caps, exclamation points punctuated by mistyping "1") are all pretty funny until you realize that this is the person controlling your money and living situation. Check your lease, take lots of pictures on move-in and move-out. Document, document, document-- I still have a whole Google Drive of photos and emails from this situation. I see Sue also comments on a couple of these posts as well. You do not have to take my word for any of this. I only ask you to notice how accusatory she is and that if you look at the Google Reviews anything less than pleasant is treated with "I'm sorry, we don't have you on the tenant list". I wish I could post the appalling emails she sent me. I wish I had thought ahead to recording the phone call she had with my dad. I'm embarrassed that an adult could act like she did. I can only hope she's turned it around in the years I've been gone, because 2 moves and 2 states later she is still the worst management experience I have ever, ever had. Before you rent, ask yourself: Can I guarantee, 100%, that I will never have any problems that require I talk to someone in management who is professional and respects me? If the answer is no, then this is not the apartment complex for you. Tl;dr: This place is cheap, it's fine, it's close to campus. Unfortunately, it's also close to Sue. If you're looking for off-campus housing, I'd suggest finding an actual house to live in with your friends.

From a student at Keene State to working full time, I have always enjoyed my time at The Mills. I…read moreloved being able to walk less than 5 minutes to my classes and even use the Mills gym when the school's was too crowded. I got to meet one of my best friends, after being assigned as roommates for the school year. During my 3 years at The Mills, the General Manager Susan Wirth, was more than helpful to me. When it came to some personal struggles, Sue was like a second mom to me and I knew she would always be there to help anyone no matter what. Which is something that gave my mother some peace of mind. I can't recommend The Mills enough for students at Keene State. The office staff is and always has been super helpful when it comes to any questions or issues that I had.
