One time there was this teacher who just came and like after 3 days she thought that she ran the whole school. She would boss people around and tell kids her own rules that did not follow the school. There was also a parent who came as a recess teacher and she was telling everybody what to do. She told my class when we were in line treat me like how you treat your parents but some kids don't treat their parents that well. Plus, SHE IS NOT OUR PARENT. and all we did to her was just turn around and she said that we were disrespectful. Anyway, IF YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO BE IN A GOOD SCHOOL, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO SUFFER, OR HAVE A GOOD TIME. Have a good day or night.

To deal with kids all day long at this age is impressive. The administrator/owner of the center is always cheerful around the parents, although I'm sure behind the scenes it is much different for the personnel. My suggestions for the center would be to upgrade some of the "old school" look of the center such as the TV and maybe the color and wood. Lots of ants are complained about by my child. Additionally, some of the fees are steep but somewhat manageable because you are to break up the payments if the need arises. Summer fees are not really explained especially when you are providing the lunch. Graduation fees are ridiculous since they will not be able to wear the gown again because of size and color. A graduation hat with them wearing white would be more reasonable financially or maybe a program where you give them back and just borrow them for that day. PreK graduation is not essential IMO.

I like that the center is small because the children can get that individual attention they need to stimulate their minds. My daughter has been there for 2 years & knows her colors in Spanish & English, writes & spells her name, can read, knows some fruits in Spanish & all in English & she can count to 100. She is also doing some addition & subtraction problems. I am very impressed with day care center.

The quality of care and professionalism has continued to go down over the past few years…read more Communication from the administration was sporadic and at times non existent. I'd toured the Jericho location years ago when I was still pregnant and was impressed which is why I later brought my toddler to the current Largo location. Their policies and procedures were constantly changing and the turnover rate was astounding. I did have a good experience with one teacher in particular, but when she left there were no longer any redeeming qualities. The "Assistant Director" was rude and ill-informed and usually unable to answer even the most basic question. The director was never available and rarely responded to email. I'd look elsewhere for the care of your little one!

They notify me every time he falls or gets injured by another child. They will also send an incident report. He did contact hand foot and mouth like the other poster's child during that time however I was notified immediately as soon as it was discovered. They also had the school cleaned out and had parents take anything that was their childs home to be washed. Now you must bring home the bedding every week. The turnover rate has been high the past few months but I do believe this is due to the wage that the workers are paid. There was a story about this recently on the today show. All in all I would recommend this daycare to anyone. My son has thrived and continues to thrive each day he is there. His teachers are very kind to him and have nurtured him through each transition. Whether is be with a new teacher or when he moved to the next class. The administrative part with communication can be improved but that just takes some training on the directors part to her staff.

This is the school associated with Calvert Community Church. It is a small Bible-based Christian…read moreschool with a big heart. If you read my review of the church, you would know that it is designed to help children know God and learn to live a Christian life in this world. It prepares kids a little differently than public school: there is Bible verse memorization, first aid instruction, chapel, and self-learning packets. Math includes budgeting, check writing and what would be considered business math elsewhere. All the children interact with all grade levels. There is physical education where everyone participates and cool (frequent) field trips (the kindergarten class got to go to 7-11 to buy Slurpees--everyone learned to purchase their drink and count their change). Good behavior and academic achievement earns privileges; bad behavior is identified and corrected, and the child is allowed to earn back privileges. Missing out on a field trip is usually enough to encourage good behavior, but if not, "corporal correction" is used. This is an excellent school for kids who have difficulty in public school because the class size is small, all age groups learn to interact respectfully, and opportunities for individual instruction abound. But I don't want to portray this school as only for "troubled" or bullied kids; it is an excellent school for any child. There is true interest in each child's wellbeing, achievement and development. Graduates go on to college or to the workforce. And they are all supported and encouraged regardless.
