Stopped by for Sunday roast and it was quite busy. We brought our dog and needed a seat outside on the patio and it was very loud and busy. We grabbed a couple of pints and then decided on what to eat. Salted squid - pretty good with a spicy mayo dip. Great flavors and cooked with the right crispyness. Sunday roast with pork belly - topped with a Yorkshire pudding with sweet potato mash, potatoes and gravy - at first the pork belly was very good but then after each bite I started to realize that this would be a whole lot better if the pork belly was crispy or even cooked a bit longer. That would've made it delicious! Sunday roast with beef - this isn't my favorite. I preferred the pork belly. I'd come back and try the other non Sunday roast items on the menu. Could be fun with a group of friends. read more

Had the best service and food - went twice we enjoyed it so much. The atmosphere was just what we were hoping for.

This restaurant was delicious! We are currently traveling around London and decided to only eat at a restaurant once so we chose this place which didn't disappoint! We had the fish and chips (which was HUGE) and the box tongue. Both were delicious. Beer seemed a little expensive but I'm not sure. The atmosphere was lively and the decor was very cozy. They had a place to sit outside which I wish we could have used but it was packed. It looked nice though. Bonus: they allow dogs!! read more

The Prince Albert, once was a dark, sticky floor, sports pub (death for any pub) now had a refit. At Last Well, that is the pub has been bought by the Geronimo Inns Group, and it's them that needs the thanks for wonderful refurbishment work on this pub. The Prince Albert is a great location facing Battersea Park and very handy for finding an excuse for walking through the park knowing that you can get a very enjoyable drink at the end. The drink selection is very good, and for you Ale drinkers you should will be happy with their Ales on tap. Go to their website for wine list pdf download. Also they do food which on this occasion we didn't stop for but be assured that we will be returning very soon for a more leisurely stop-over. We were serviced in good time by a very pleasant manageress, and the 3 other bar staff were being kept busy looking after a busy beer garden. This pub will give The Lighthouse a run for it's money but I do hope that both pubs can survive the current economic climate as we do need quality pubs around Battersea Park, too many with large, loud plasma screens already. I will find a more updated picture of The Prince Albert from the outside as the first picture here looks like it's from the late 80's, also the pub description needs updating too. All ye who seek beer-drinking rahs, this is an essential stop. For the full effect, I'd recommend a sunny weekend afternoon, say a Sunday. You'll find Binkies and Charlies aplenty, seated amidst a relaxed large pub with a pale wooden interior and bathed in natural light. Line up a couple of the pub's well-kept Doom Bars, and this is a nice enough place to spend an hour reading one of the newspapers provided, if you're happy with the Daily Mail or Daily Telegraph that is. As one might expect therefore, the Prince Albert is dog-friendly. When we were there, a couple of adorable if somewhat suspicious pugs were in residence. The Prince Albert is based in Battersea, just opposite Battersea Park. The prince albert is a great place for Sunday Lunches, and in the summer it can get very busy ( being so close to the park- it is an excellent place to end the night off it their outside patio area). The staff are very friendly, and it has a welcoming atmosphere. the prices aren't bad either. On Monday evenings they have a fun Quiz Night, which is great for friends and groups of students. Nice middle aged/ middle classed crowd go here. I wouldn't recommend it as a saturday night out. read more

Aside from the awesome name and the history of having to tell your tailor whether you hang left or right, this place was mediocre at best. Went for the classic fish and chips - and got a classic disappointment. Soggy around. This is how I measure a pub. Proper fish'n'chip! Food & drinks are good AND they allow dogs! I was dog sitting my cousin's lurcher/terrier mix and was prepared to leave him outside for an hour while I had lunch with a friend. just kidding. They have a back garden so I thought we could eat out there. It was March so the weather was still semi-cold but to my surprise, the waitress sat me down inside! Rocco, the dog, sat quietly next to me while I had a humungo burger & mussels. For the price, the food was delish. I've been back quite a few times since for pints with my half Irish boyfriend and his very Irish father. I love the atmosphere, drinks and food. I live around the corner so will definitely be back again soon :) read more

I love this pub. It's the perfect location for our football team to grab some pints after a match. They are dog friendly, so there are always fur friends hanging around. They also have one of the best outdoor beer gardens around - complete with a load of heaters. Their food menu is also great. Love that they have the option of fries OR chips :) read more

We loved our dinner here. Food was typical decadent greasy pub fare-- but it was perfect with a large glass of beer and good company. The fish and chips was yummy with relish and pea purée. Their gnocchi was not served in the typical fashion; it was two large cubes of pasta. It was good too. The portions were generous. Be warned: this is not light food. It was, however, very tasty. The merengue dessert with raspberries was divine-- do not miss it. The atmosphere is lovely, with young families and middle age couples. There is a lot of light-- not your typical dark pub. It feels very local. As tourists, we felt welcome, which I appreciated. The service was excellent. Our server was jovial though busy. If we were staying, we'd go back again. Prince Albert's is very fun and very British. Expect to have a good time. read more

We just left the place, very bad service, not so bad food. Waiters only wandering around not taking note of anything. It took half an hour to order drinks and another half an hour to get them and then they decided it was time to take note of the food. Impossible to get any sauce even after asking twice. And after this they wanted to charge 8 pounds of service charge! They didn't apologize at any moment. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! NEVER COMING BACK. read more

"ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL" 1 of 5 stars Pending review A group of four of us dropped into this establishment last wed for lunch.We were impressed by the style & cleanliness& the fact that the staff took our drinks & food order at the table.Uhfortunately 20 mins later things started to go wrong We were informed by the waiter that they were unable to make the sandwiches as they had no avocado This was at 1pm ???We revised the orders to steak sandwiches.After 25 mins I asked what had happened to the drinks.Thew waiter sated that the "ticket" had been lost & he would personally prepare them.Drinks duly arrived.After 3/4 of an hour the steaks arrived They consisded of 4 slices of plain white bread with miniscule pieces of thin beef served cold with piles of onion on top. .The waiter returned to ask us about our meal,We responded saying steak should be served hot not ice cold & additionally it was gristly .The gristle was on display on one of the plates.I advised him that he neede to tell "The Management" that these problems needed addressing.He duly returned & said the chef had told him the meat was cold as it had been put in a "Marinade" I have never heard of anything so ridiculous .No comment was made regarding the "gristle"What planet are these people from ??We directed our complaint for management to address.They failed to see us personally Complaints are for management to resolve they are paid to deal with complaints.You don't put that responsibility on the serving staff they are not paid for it.Unfortunately its becoming more & more evident management keep out of the way of complaints .The prices charged in this establishment are high .Thats fine if the service & quality of food are good .Here its not so .My suggestion is that the "Management" go to Weatherspoons & learn a few basic lessons .We wont be back take my advice "Avoid" Visited June 2016 read more

Food was so good! We had beer soup, mushroom pie, and avocado salmon sandwich for lunch. It was truly divine. The bar has really nice atmosphere, decoration, and great service. Will definitely be returning. read more
