Planning couldn't have been easier- our coordinator was very easy to reach and always quick with an answer with any questions we had. The venue is charming and the roof top view is stunning. We chose to have a "Before They Say I Do BBQ" and the deck provided a nice space to set up stations for our caterer. The list of vendors provided by Empire Eats made providing linens and any items needed easy to set up. The only suggestions we would offer is know in advance that this is the top floor of The Stockroom. If there are 2 events scheduled, you'll be sharing the only elevator with the other venue. Loading and unloading prior and after the event can be a bit tricky. There is no designated area loading zone. Be sure to ask in advance for a cart and it will be provided. Also, if you're having a summer event, know that it can be very hot. When the door to the deck is open, it compromises the A/C and it can be a tad bit warm.

So I went to a pop up event called the Haunted Tavern that was at this location. The Royal Banquet…read moreis an event space that has rooms that can be rented out. I had seen an ad on FB for an event sponsored by Fever. It was a Halloweenish event so it looked liked something different to do to kick off Oct. Tickets have to be bought a head of time for a specific date & time. Chairs are set up in a dimly lit room with a bookshelf cabinet as the main focal point which was on the opposite end of the chairs. The bookshelf had spooky looking objects on it. Through out the hour & 1/2 of the show, you are given 4 different cocktails while one at a time a group of 5 adults take turns telling a ghost story as the others serve the coctails. Unfortunately The drinks were a bit watered down and didn't seem like they actually had alcohol in them. The drinks seemed random which I think it would make more sense if they matched the stories somehow or at least were in the actual story. The storytellers were dressed to match the spooky mood and some did better than others. I thought they were going to be Raleigh ghost stories and maybe they were but there wasn't enough local knowledge in the stories. Not sure if the event was worth the cost but it was something different. After the show the adults told the audience that their group of 5 does it all:sets the stage, does the lighting, the music, decorates, makes the drinks, serves them & provides the entertainment. After I heard this I have to admit I definitely felt ok paying the cost for the event. If you like local theater, this is a great idea for something different to do on a weekend night.

For those who wants to go or to do henna party or wedding it's not the best option for you cuz they will anyways gonna take the deposit even if they find a piece of cake on the ground or they or anything they say we will take it to Chang the carpet . They will take your deposit even if you leave before 12 am. I'm telling you if you would ever do any event make sure to take pictures of the things that's seems to be broken before or not working cuz they will say it's you who did it , they will take the deposit for something that you didn't do. It's conveniently located in the heart of downtown. It's a 5 minute walk to a dozen restaurants. The space is beautiful and always immaculately maintained. It's well lit and has a great productive vibe. Wifi is reliable and fast. Coffee, espresso, soft drinks, beer and snacks are provided as well, for free. The place includes several large conference rooms, several smaller conference rooms and a few private call rooms. No matter what your need there is always a spot to get things done. The conference rooms all have dedicated TVs with teleconferencing features built in. There are ample outlets and power supplies for plugging in everywhere. Finally, the owner Michael is super accessible and has a great team. He and the team are always around helping members and folks renting the conference rooms and taking care of any issues that arise quickly. The space is also available as a rental for events in the evenings and they go above and beyond to re-arrange all the co-working furniture to make space for the events and then restore everything to where it was before the next morning. I'm so glad that I found this place when I went looking for co-working spots downtown and I feel lucky to be a member here. Highly recommended.

It's right on Fayetteville St where the parking is easier.

The centerpiece of the house's interior is a rotunda supported by four Corinthian columns and lit by a stained glass window located on the roof. Walking into the foyer you cant help but embrace the timeless grace, where every corner whispers of history and a bygone era. There is a quiet serenity to the space, as if time slows just a little bit inside. The modern touch added to the old renovated mansion does come with a bit of a sharp, sterile elegance of a modern mansion. The Parlor is a great place to enjoy a delicious craft cocktail and even better, ADULTS ONLY! There are also many other lovely seating arrangements throughout the property, including outdoors, and a few even come with fire pits. Regardless of your intentions for visiting the Heights House, I am quite confident there will be no disappointments, unless they have a private event. Cheers!

Everything is lovely and though it is all modern and sleek, it still feels fitting for the original era of the house. The cocktail area takes up most of the main floor, with a stand-up bar just off the entryway with a few tables and then a larger lounging area with sofas and chairs just beyond. The drinks are exceptionally good, and the spirits menu is creative. They also offer a few small plates. There is plenty of paved parking immediately next to the hotel for guests only, so that is not a hassle as it can be at some B&B/inn-type establishments. At check-in, you are offered a complimentary glass of sparkling wine to set the tone. The rooms are comfortable, but I will say that the entry-level ones are quite small (which is apparent on the website), but for the rates charged there isn't even a place to sit and read a book other than the bed. There's one small, delicate wicker chair that would be for tying shoes or whatever, but not lounging. The bed is luxuriously dressed, and there is drawer space and a minifridge, but no closet -- hanging items can go on hooks by the door out in the open. The bathroom is spacious enough, with a broad sink and elegant tilework. The lighting fixtures throughout are nifty. I found the breakfast sort of average for this type of place. I came later on, so perhaps there is more earlier, but there were a few pastries, some hard-boiled eggs, and fruit when I arrived. There's also a fancy coffee-drink contraption, but those aren't my thing so I left that alone. It's a very easy walk across the Boylan Bridge and down a couple of blocks to the area of the Dillon with several restaurants, and the performing arts center is not far beyond that. Location-wise, there's plenty that's walkable but also more an easy drive away.
