Despite the quote mentioning spot sanding, I saw no evidence of that. It seems that they just painted over flaking paint after some scraping. Despite the quote saying that they would apply "up to" three coats of paint, I saw no evidence of l multiple coats or priming. I had to call them back out to address some problems once, and the pictures show issues that still remain. I don't want to hire a company to do a job and then have to be the quality control. They also left my screens off the windows, which is just an annoyance, and shows--in my opinion--that there's no internal quality control. I just paid them instead of trying to call them back out again, but they won't be my go-to painters, which is unfortunate because again, Tep seems like a nice guy. I was impressed by the positive reviews, but I also noticed that most of them were a long time ago. Maybe they've lost the fire, or maybe they're having issues with their labor.

They let us know of any delays and when they were on the way to our home, if traffic was delaying them they'd call to let us know. Very considerate and much appreciated. The work was done very professionally and the end result is beautiful. They repaired our corner beads, including knock-down texturing of the repaired areas. This is pretty difficult and was done very well. The painting of several rooms and our staircase was completed on schedule and very well. We also have to compliment them on the clean up. On top of this, the pricing was very reasonable. Would definitely use them again.

All rooms painted included the ceilings and all of these rooms had considerable wood trim including baseboards, crown molding, bookshelves, transoms, and wood-trimmed windows. Ricardo's team was fully ready for their day's work by 8:00 am each morning with their shoes covered the entire time. All furniture and floors were covered, surfaces fully prepared and imperfections corrected before they applied any paint. We couldn't be more satisfied with the results! Ricardo brings a superb work ethos and humble but professional persona which is reflected by the professionalism, courtesy and quiet efficiency of the entire painting team. Our 55+ year old home now looks revived after being neglected for at least a decade by its prior owners. We had window sashes completely rotten away, broken shutters, and garage doors that needed replacement. Zaher went above and beyond to help us get through other, more structural renovations in the short term by repairing the damaged areas of the exterior, replacing rot with PVC, bondo'ing areas where replacement would be costly, reglazing the windows, sanding, priming all raw wood and repaired areas, and ensuring a clean finish with two painted coats of light color across all of the trim and three coats of darker color in other areas. It looks like a different house, and my wife and I are *extremely* satisfied and grateful for both of their hard work. Regarding their work ethic, these guys waste no time. They regularly pull long days, and seem to take no breaks, baring lunch. Zaher and Romulo are also our family members' go-to painters, and I have seen dozens of other examples of immaculate interior and exterior work in addition to our experience. Regarding price, you get what you pay for, and we feel Zaher's price is more than reasonable for the quality of work. Don't waste time and money on cheaper guys. We are highly satisfied and recommend them for both interior and exterior painting. His wait times can be long due to high demand for his quality, and he does not use an admin service, so call - he will provide a free quote and set expectations on timeline based on his availability. It is common for him to be booked 6 months out for big jobs that aren't urgent, but he seems to find time to squeeze in smaller or urgent jobs as needed to accommodate his customers. We recommend following up as the job gets closer to help him keep you on the schedule. If you want the best deal and availability, schedule interior work in November or December. For exterior work, try March. Thanks again, Action Painting, for wildly increasing our curb appeal!

As a first time…read morehome buyer & not having my home for a year yet, I was excited to put my personal touch on my home with a paint job. This opportunity came at an exciting time in my life as I am also pregnant with my first child. But Paint Work Ahead has made this a horrible & haunting memory that I am still dealing with til this day. Initially I was not going to leave a review & told them I wouldn't as they gave me a full refund & reimbursed me for a damaged table that's not even 6 months old. Essentially they came in & did a horrible job, to the point where you had to second guess if my home was even painted, in fact they left it worst than how I gave it to them. Paint residue everywhere, including paint droppings on essentially new floors. Frankly, I think they got off as easy as I just paid nearly $600 to have my carpet & floors cleaned, I had to pay another painter to come in & correct the job they did in addition to the cleanup I am left with. There are several jackets & military uniforms that now need to be taken to the cleaners & my entire wardrobe needs to be re-washed. Not to mention the time my friends have committed to me in wiping down cabinets & light fixtures, it has been a true nightmare. B/c of the residue I have had two allergic reactions & have not stayed in my home in over two weeks, I can't wait until I get the residue from everywhere. I was just quoted another $190 to clean my living room couch & the headboard of guest bed in another bedroom. I settled with them outside of court b/c the stress was too much in my condition, but now I wish I had not agreed to the settlement & just went to court. In addition to me not requiring them to pay for the couple of $100's worth of groceries that went bad b/c they forgot to plug my refrigerator back in. Furthermore they did not put all of my furniture back as discussed & I had to fight with them to do that. Initially Samantha stood by the work they had done & told me they would not come back & they had spent enough time. They will argue the work was not completed up to par due to working conditions b/c the first two days my ac was not working properly, which turned out to be a user error on my end (forgot to remove the winter AC unit cover), but Samantha did not bring it to my attention until 48 hours into the job & as I told her she should have paused the job had she known this would affect the outcome of the paint job, she is the professional not I. After escalating to upper management, who over the phone wanted to settle for not even a quarter of what I paid them, once he came out to "fix" the issue, w/ out dispute he asked me what I wanted, when I said for them to do the job completely over he said I should get another painter. He reimbursed me with no push back, further confirming my perspective to be correct. To add insult to injury not once did they apologize for the lack of professionalism in their work & for messing up my home. I can't post enough pics to do my review justice it was my entire home inside & out (paint on the lawn, bushes & concrete leading up to my home, my neighbors even complained) even paint residue on my plants & magnets on the refridgerator, they broke the foundation of my bad (then fixed themselves upon settlement); thanks Paint Work Ahead for turning my sweet dream into an ugly nightmare, I would not recommend them to anyone, as far as I am concerned they are frauds.

No accountability or integrity. DO NOT RECOMMEND…read more We tried to hire AKK. We provided our numbers to Rosa who repeated them back. We scheduled a day for the estimate. When that day arrived, I waited and AKK never showed up. I called and Rosa said she canceled our appointment because we did not confirm via text. She then read back the number she wrote down and it was the wrong number. I asked of they confirm or verify before they cancel and she blamed me that I didn't answer the text - that I did not receive - because she wrote down the wrong number. They also had my spouses number and never texted or verified with them either. Afterwards, I very respectfully asked for painter recommendations in a local group and the owner began blaming me for bad mouthing his company online, that they are great and that I came to his neighborhood to speak badly - never once did he message or apologize for any issue, he was extremely accusatory and completely unprofessional. No accountability and spiteful owner. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
