Was ich toll finde, ist wie die Atmosphaere des Cafes nicht viel ueber etwa 50 Jahre geaendert hat. Jedes Mal, das ich beim Hansa eine Tasse Kaffee trinke, fuehle ich mich immer noch wie die Studentin, die in den 90ern in Tue studiert hat und damals Hansa 'entdeckt' hat. Hansa bietet alle Kaffee-und Tee Geraete an, die es wohl gibt. Was mir am besten dieses Mal gefaellt hat, war der italienische Kaffeetopf, dessen "Kopf" aus Porzellan besteht. Klasse! Man kann auch Kaffeebohnen (oder gemahlenen Kaffee) kaufen. Das Hansa ist wirklich etwas Besonderes. Geht ihr doch mal hin!

Waitress asked if we were allergic to anything and whether we wanted meat or fish (if you do not eat pork or beef inform them). Drinks do not come with the courses ! We opted for three courses: starter, entree (stuffed chicken atop quinoa risotto) and dessert (brownie, chocolate crumble cake, ice cream) and polished it off with cafe. When there was a small but friendly complaint that we did not get what we wanted, the boss/ manager started to insult us and became physical without any provocation. He then called two more employees who tried to manhandle me. He hit my wife who tried to film the whole thing. Finally, we were asked to leave loudly and under continuous insults. If you look for friendly service, this is not the place to go. And if you look foreign and don't speak German, this can be a dangerous place. The case has been reported to the police.

The service was very friendly and English is spoken here. We decided to try a chocolate covered banana and a light cake topped with jellied berries which seems to be a common dessert here in Germany. We also ordered a cappuccino and milk coffee. The cashier was nice enough to give us a half off discount on the cake since it was a small slice and also gave us a glass of water at our request.
