Despite my complete lack of…read morespeaking German, we were able to get a pastry selected and describe a massive coffee cup so that I could eat. It worked out well. Nice cinnamon baked thing that was light and flaky. The coffee machine was self-service automated and yes, it filled my bowl of coffee perfectly with delicious caffeinated coffee. The staff are really friendly and patient! Tried this round "Festbrot" for Easter that was covered in almond slivers. Added some butter and a favorite marmalade...too good! The cafe is just off B27 and near the Dobelstrasse U-bahn stop, so super convenient but NOT like the congested downtown area. They offer some breakfast sandwiches too. Sich selbst genießen!

They don't accept card payments and didn't even provide a receipt, which raises some questions. We went as two mothers with two young children (1 and 3 years old). The kids made a bit of a mess on the table, but we cleaned it up. However, we couldn't perfectly clean the spilled liquids on the floor since we didn't have a mop with us. Despite apologizing for this, we were scolded harshly. They showed no understanding, even though we had small children with us. I will never go back there again, not even pass by. This place lacks kindness and compassion for children--avoid it at all costs. Sie sind extrem unhöflich und intolerant gegenüber Ausländern. Sie sprechen kein Englisch, und obwohl ich gesagt habe, dass ich kein Deutsch spreche, haben sie weiterhin unfreundlich auf Deutsch geantwortet. Best bakery in the Stuttgart-Möhringen area…read more Their breads, pastries and cakes are always fresh. We are big fans of the Laugen Brochen, Mohnschencke and Nußschencke. Occasionally they change up the Laugen Brochen which aren't as good as their normal batch. The coffee is Hochlande which is a nice coffee blend. You can also get a very nice breakfast/brunch here.
