Great little bakery, friendly staff did not seem annoyed at our broken German, awesome apple pastry. 2 min out the walk through gate on RB.

Breakfast this morning before heading out to explore Stuttgart. Despite my complete lack of…read morespeaking German, we were able to get a pastry selected and describe a massive coffee cup so that I could eat. It worked out well. Nice cinnamon baked thing that was light and flaky. The coffee machine was self-service automated and yes, it filled my bowl of coffee perfectly with delicious caffeinated coffee. Comfy spot for eating and drinking but not really a hangout inside. I enjoyed my breakfast and that was that. [Review 21247 overall - 251 in Germany - 212 of 2024.]

The staff are really friendly and patient! Tried this round "Festbrot" for Easter that was covered in almond slivers. Added some butter and a favorite marmalade...too good! The cafe is just off B27 and near the Dobelstrasse U-bahn stop, so super convenient but NOT like the congested downtown area. They offer some breakfast sandwiches too. Sich selbst genießen!

Great quality organic rolls for a price that's just a bit above other places nearby like those bakeries usually inside of or next to Rewe stores. Which I found usually very good too but still... As a coffee-loving resident of San Francisco, I know the tremendous contributions San Francisco has…read moremade to the coffee community. I mean, sure, Starbucks started in Seattle. And the highest # of baristas per capita isn't here, but in Portland, 850 miles north of here. And sure, the only place in America that actually grows coffee is Hawaii. But San Francisco has roasted coffee for at least 10 years now, and there's probably about 10 coffee roasters in business by now. We're seriously making a mark in the world. Which is why I am truly honored that this business decided to name itself after San Francisco's historically significant industry. Salute, to you, my friends! Nice work in honoring a city that truly knows coffee.
What's the difference between ice cream, frozen yogurt and gelato? I know the answer but can I…read moretaste the difference, yes of course. Can you? I contradict myself a little because one can never know what's in the recipe or how it's churned. Anyway, I believe it was frozen yogurt, it was smooth and seemed less creamy. However, the fruitiness and tartness in the flavor I chose was bright in flavor, meaning for me, tartness and a fruity flavor made me believe real fruit was incorporated into the recipe from what I tasted. It was very good frozen yogurt, or was it ice cream or gelato? I don't even remember the flavor I chose, strawberry? passion fruit? a mix? However, I really liked it, worth a good review stamp. I wish I spent more time but it was a quick pass by get a treat kind of thing, wham bam frozen yogurt. Thank You 'mam.

Then you see them everywhere and always pick up a loaf of bread or get a "donut". They are alright. Nothing really to write home about. If you're an American in Germany, I would say skip this and go to the little corner bakery instead. Prices are the same but you would get the non-chain flavor and the in store made freshness. If you do decide to come here (or there and there and there and there), the round sugared donuts have a berry filling of some sort. I think it's raspberry. Also, what looks like a cinnamon rolls isn't. It's hazelnut. I think it's much much better than a cinnamon roll though!
