It was our…read morefriends sons graduation trip and this was supposed to be best day of the 6 day stay with us on emerald coast . I speak highly of beach weekend because the kids working the docks are always so nice and accommodating . But this time we waited 20 mins with our dolley cart loaded while everyone working inflated floats for customers and walked around ...... we were just about to say something then someone walked up to give my hubs the boat walk through . This time we didn't get a boat with the complimentary huge cooler . It was a smaller boat . Too late to switch but ask for that one if you can because it's nice transferring everything to there big cooler and not have 5/7 yetis on one pontoon . This trip the boat we rented broke down 1/2 way to crab ..... it delayed us over an hour waiting for new boat . We swam around where we were parked and chilled. Totally fine and happy waiting in gorgeous clear water off oakaloosa . When they came to replace it we had to unload current boats bags and coolers for 10 people to new boat . Not bad but kinda added more time to find where everyone's stuff was after we quickly moved . We were kinda annoyed he said we could have an extra 30 mins added to our trip . We told him we were delayed over an hour so he said 1 hour passed our time scheduled to return ...... It's likely we will rent from them again in July because of all the great experiences we've had in the passed . They do military discounts and it's pretty reasonably priced . Plus they drive the boat out and in the marina for you...... I would have been happy if they gave us more then an additional hour that we missed or a discount on the next rental ..... we got there at 10:30am . 30 mins before our check in time . But we legit didn't get to crab till after 1 between waiting to load then the boat beeping and stalling out 1/2 way there .

Done Deal--More Like Raw Deal…read more Do not waste your money on this charter. There are thousands of fishing options in Destin--choose another one. This company advertises mahi-mahi fishing, and August is one of the best times of year to target mahi. We specifically requested trolling, expecting at least an honest attempt at mahi or other pelagic fish. Instead, Captain Rusty ignored our request and made us bottom fish. If we had wanted a bottom-fishing trip, we could have booked a party boat for one-third of the price. The captain's attitude made it worse. My 80-year-old father-in-law politely said the radio was a little loud, so we asked for it to be turned down slightly. Captain Rusty responded by turning it off completely. My father-in-law has always dreamed of being a boat captain and simply wanted to sit up top and enjoy the experience. When we asked for a little more airflow, Rusty's response was, "I'd rather be hot." That comment perfectly captures his attitude toward his paying customers. Captain Rusty and the deckhands also smoked constantly around my asthmatic wife and father-in-law. They were unpersonable, dismissive and acted as if our presence was an inconvenience. After five hours, we had maybe three snapper to show for it. Of course, no charter can guarantee fish--but this wasn't simply bad luck. They advertised one type of fishing, ignored what we requested, delivered a much cheaper bottom-fishing experience and showed virtually no interest in making the trip enjoyable. This was an extremely expensive boat ride with a rude captain. Take your money elsewhere.

The crew was great with the kids. They were able to drop lines and reel the fish in themselves. (Ages 8-12). We caught vermillion snapper (mingo), trigger fish, and white grunt "ruby lips". Good size fish to catch for the youngsters. After the crew cleaned the fish we walked down to Harry T's for a hook and cook deal. My only complaint would be that I would prefer the crew not smoke around the kids.
