Please do not use Cobb Mountain Woodworks in Middleton , California. No stars should be selected-…read morethis is one bad contractor Dave Schmidt who owns the cabinet making company, asked us for a deposit to hold our spot, than more money for the draw and wood. It took him 4 months to get some of the cabinet boxes to us. He said they would be custom but they are all premade. He said he would give us a drawing- he never did. They did not fit properly. He never finished our project giving the contractor all kinds of excuses. The contractor finished the cabinets- by ordering from the doors /drawers from a company and took another 3 months since he had never done it before. We are so disappointed. Home depot of Ikea would be a thousand times better. This cabinet maker is dishonest - do not use him.

Oh, and MCD's bid included building a back porch for that price! They completed everything in a week because they swarmed us with workers who worked on both projects concurrently. And both projects are finished to a high quality - the porch looks stout enough to land a helicopter on! Anthony, Meagan, and Dan were a pleasure to work with. We had a supplier problem that could have delayed the shower project for a month. Instead, they found a work-around and the start time was only delayed a week. Two thumbs up for MCD because that's all the thumbs I got!

They really went the extra mile. I was looking at 4-6 weeks to get a door for a remodel and they offered a suggestion. They asked if I could use a door slightly narrower and in an almond color. I didn't care about either item. They came the next week and installed the door. It was great. They just put 2x4's on each side and the door was installed perfectly. This was over a month ago and with the contractors going in and out, I haven't had a single problem. I gave a stack of their cards to my contractor and electrician. I hope they get more business.
