Prime storage, a company of Prime Group has a practice of renting a unit to you and then increasing the price through email communication, Mine went from $110 to $175 per month and I disputed where they advised me how about $130. Well, they still raised it to $175. DO NOT expect good service here. My property was riddled with brown recluse and mice when I transitioned from a 5x10 on the back wall to a center 10x10. Don't trust this company, they're clearly run by people who think empty units are worth more than filled units. Lastly, no one is ever on site, they have a video screen with a person somewhere else. Also, there is no security gate, so it's free reign. They have cameras, but cameras don't deter anyone. read more

Extremely disappointed. We were into the third month of renting a unit when Prime raised the price from $360 to $455. when we stopped by to rent a unit there was a sign up front that says one month free, when we asked about it, the employee said it did not apply to our unit. We also rented from prime because they have a secure gate entrance. The access gate has been stuck open for more than a week which isn't secure. read more

This is THE MOST unethical self-storage company I have ever encountered. When Prime acquired Guardian Self-Storage (a nice, family-owned facility) in the Hudson Valley, they not only raised their rates, they reduced the quality of services. Now, "temperature controlled" means they heat only up to 55 degrees and "cool" down to 80 degrees. Guardian kept the temperatures at around 68, which is what a customer deserves. I also heard that the head honcho at one of the new Prime locations told his employees to charge customer some fees without notifying said customers first. When an employee refused to do that, insisting on making a courtesy call, that employee was fired for insubordination. Prime seems to hold its customers in contempt, squeezing every penny out of us and offering no true security or good service in return. It's disgusting to think that a company is run by a man with no decent goodness. I usually don't post reviews but I feel it's important to protect those who might be hoping to store their belongings in a truly temperature-controlled unit. People rent storage units because they have items they care about. DO NOT place them in care of a company that does not care! read more

When we rented a unit we were told we would be getting a unit on the ground floor, which was extremely important to us. When we show up on moving day we are told we are getting a second floor unit and the manager insisted he never told us anything different and was not gracious in any way shape or form to say the least!!! To top it off, they only had a few dollies for all movers, so we had to pay 2 extra hours to our movers, first to wait for the dollies to be free and secondly because it takes a lot longer to get things on dollies, wait for an elevator and then put everything in the unit. To add insult to injury, we too got a price increase a few months in. It is your TYPICAL BAIT and SWITCH plan. I would never recommend anyone to ever use this facility. Beautiful facility. Great staff. My monthly rate was increased 48% after only 4 months of happy storage. I have to assume that's legal despite being totally distasteful. I've been storing furniture at competitors facility down the road. There my rent has increased a total of 9% in 6 years. Unfortunately they don't have drive up units which I also need. read more

We were four college students who stored out stuff here after Corona Virus displaced us. We couldn't take everything home we wanted to because of the lack of car space, so we decided to store it. A month after leaving school, half our stuff got stolen. Owner refused to take photos for us, refused to give us any sort of compensation, and overall was super unhelpful. Don't store your stuff here, many personal items of zero value were stolen, including my own art. read more
