I love coming to Prime Shine! The people here are so nice and do an excellent job washing the car. Plus honestly it is a lot of FUN to sit in ghe car while it is going through tje automatic wash! Even use it to bring back memories with my grandma from when she was younger. As for value it is a great thing to get the Unlimited basic washes. It is a low monthly price for unlimited times AND if you need a mote detailed wash you can upgrade a single time at a low price. They do a great job here and I highly recommend Prime Shine!! read more

Last week i washed my car this place but service so teribble , pay 25 dollar not event has dry towel on the way out maybe the owner think that already expensive to service dry towel with 25 dollar wash Never again and not recomended this place read more

$15 for 3 minute express wash is convenient and effortless. My truck was filthy after a long road trip. This took all the dirt off the exterior and underside. No towel dry but for $15 on Long Island I can't complain. Will come back next time I'm short on time and need a wash. I can't speak for their higher priced washes and the quality work the employees do or don't do, but the machine wash itself is quick and worth the $15. Thanks. read more

Don and his hand car wash has left the building. Enter the new owners Prime Shine. I pull up to what looks like an ATM machine. I only want an exterior wash and a tire shine. One of the guys comes over and he's trying to be helpful. I explain where is the tire shine?? That's the full wash. Brah... I make that stupid hard right into the bay. There's a prep dude spraying my car and I see these massive brushes. I hate machine brushes... Once I'm thru? GTF outta here. No towel service, just leave?? I whistle to one of the dudes, I grab a towel and dry off my car. This is a stupid place. Never again. read more

Prime Shine Car Wash - Brushes on my baby... #nobueno - Car Wash Near Me - Smithtown, New York

Went there with my folks car, it was a Tuesday and not too many cars to wait for, my dad paid for the top treatment and wash is decent, but the stand out part is how well the guys dried and polished the car, cleaning the mats with the vibrating machine and the tire shine and rims were done nicely. A definite improvement from the group that originally took over Don's. read more

loved this place when it was Dons car wash, new owner came in... not so good. I happened to pop in two weeks ago and I realized the management and overall experience was so much better- that's when I realized new ownership! Austin made sure my car was PERFECT- he got in with his guys and cleaned my car and the cars following mine . It was time for this place to turn a new leaf and it definitely has! a ps my car not only looked immaculate for the day, it was shiny and clean for days! ( with three kids). read more

Mediocre at best. Woman who works the ticket machine is super snarky and extremely rude. Prices are ridiculous for what they do. Barely any soap comes out and the car isn't very clean. Again, totally mediocre ...... read more

Concerns with the business's billing practices. I purchased a monthly car wash but was unexpectedly charged for the following two months. At the time of purchase, the staff did not inform me that I was enrolling in a recurring subscription, nor did they explain the cancellation process. The transaction was completed in 30 seconds, with my card swiped and me waved through. When I contacted the shop for a refund, the owner refused, insisting that all necessary details had been provided during that brief interaction. This lack of transparency and refusal to address the issue raises concerns about the business's ethics, customer service and billing practices. read more

So I used to take my vehicles to this wash and recently continued with my brand new 2025 black truck. I used the car wash about a month ago and noticed a small scratch on the truck when I got it home, I thought it wasn't related and was pissed and moved on with life. I took the truck to the wash again this weekend and once again I got it home and noticed scratches on the drivers side door, as well as my hood. I am 100 percent convinced that this car wash was the cause of all these scratches. I don't know if their machines are set to high or the brushes are contaminated with dirt. I am super pissed cause I know these scratches were NOT on my truck before I entered the wash, it's a brand new truck and I am extremely particular about it. It is safe to say I will never return to this car wash again, if you don't want your car scratched stay away !!!!! read more

My car was filthy from the snow and unfortunately birds. I just needed an exterior since the inside is usually clean. I went for the $20.00 UNLIMITED Express Exterior. I was pleased. From the man who helped me at the kiosk to the man who gave the car a good power wash before the car wash. Basic wash no frills no towel dry. But the air drying worked fine. Clean car and no bird poop. I will never have a dirty vehicle again. I will sign up for the other car for the same service. This was my first visit. I will update you on future visits. But so far so good. read more

So I want to start by saying this car wash looks like it's under a new business model or ownership. There were some issues just getting into the car wash but that's not what concerns me. Pulling up there are a bunch of guy's wiping down cars like any other car wash so all looks good. You pull up to an automated gate and a kiosk where you make your selection. I picked the $25 choice which was exterior only with tires. I had to pull the vehicle into the car wash. I sat in the car as it goes through. At the end I was motioned to now pull to a wipe down station. When I got there the guy says You didn't pay for this service. So what did I pay $25 for? Disgusted I pulled back out of the wipe down station and went home. I got out and looked at the vehicle and it was still filthy! Rims dirty, front end full of bugs, glass dirty....... So I ended up cleaning the vehicle myself after I just had a car wash??? So there is deception here. This is not a true car wash but just a self serve automated system. Should be $10 for the 5 minute car wash I just got. If you want a wipe down you will pay over $40. Again, no one was rude, it's a nice looking place, I just didn't feel good for what I paid for. It also says hand wash on the outside but it's all machines. read more

Absolutely the worst I don't bash businesses, I only give positive reviews to those who deserve i, but this place is terrible. I've given them several chances after the last bad experience but this was the last straw. My car sat there (again) and I was forced to wipe it all down myself. Now Im not one for doing work, but when you pay someone to do it, they should do it. I won't be back with any of my cars, and I suggest you go elsewhere also. When I approached the register covered in sweat to ask why am I wiping down my own car, the response was less that acceptable. Again, this was the 3rd time this happened. read more

Not what it used to be plus expensive charging cable disappeared from car and they all act like I'm mistaken. Explained that I had just unplugged my phone from it when I got out because I was on a call so I'm positive it was there and they start searching my car to see if they can find it. After that I'm offered one that they sell there obviously missing the point. It's a shame but they don't deserve anyone's business. read more

Got my first and last car wash from this place. The owner named Iggy, is rude and belittles his employees. He was yelling at them in front of his customers while the workers were drying my car. He Treats them like shit. Totally humiliating them with no care if there are women or kids standing there. read more

The hand car wash is gone which I need for my car. Didn't realize it until I couldn't back out. Then they did a great job on the exterior but the inside of the car was still just a failure. Never again read more

I don't like sitting in the car as it's washed so they put it through on neutral. None of the workers were at the end and I watched as it rolled right off the belt and away from the building! I ran toward the car, quickly opened the door and put it in park before it had a chance to roll into traffic!! I calked Iggy, the new owner, and he promised that somebody would stay in the car while it goes through the belt moving forward. Fair enough. I had signed up for their monthly service so I decided to give them another chance. Today I went for another car wash, met Iggy in person for the first time. I reminded him to have someone stay in the car. I followed the car around to the entry. Of course after witnessing my car almost going into traffic you bet I'm gonna watch and make sure someone sits in the car. Iggy sees me and yells at me in front of customers that I can't stand there and watch my car. I was off to the side and not in anyone's way. I told him I'm not moving and he continued yelling at me in front of everyone to move. Finally, the car goes into the wash with the worker in the car and I decide to walk away from Iggys temper tantrum. I go inside and before I left I made sure to cancel my membership. They almost wrecked my car, put myself, bystanders and other cars in danger, and the owner berates me for watching my possession go through his car wash. Are you kidding me?!?!?! Terrible service, and by far the worst customer service by a business owner. 1 star is too many. read more

I brought my 2011 Honda Pilot (aka Elvis) in for a badly needed wash, the men who worked on my baby did a great job. Clean windows, clean floors (being from Vermont we get pretty muddy up here!) they did an outstanding job! Next time I'm in the neighborhood I'll definitely stop in. Thank you! Mr Elvis always looks his best when he's clean inside and out!! read more

Terrible. Car is left with permanent spot. I saw with my own eyes one of the workers spray and leave a circle spot on my paint and the owner just decided to have a screaming match and his manager also got nasty with me. Thought this should be known to any customers . read more

I thought this place was amazing, my car looks great! A little costly, but worth it, they did an awesome job!

beware beware beware worst car wash on long island not ony did they do a horrible job and over charge my rim was damaged and would not take responsibility for it so now its off to small claims court pics show the curb everyone hits as their employee waves you foward but you can not see curb i showed the manger what happend he said i need to talk to owner after trying to make several attempts to figure out a solution she did not care or be a stand up business owner i tried to explain that they need to put a marker and everyone keeps hitting it because you can clearly see all the tire marks she is rude and doesnt care about customers and if you care about you car this isnt the car wash for you i wasnt even asking for a new rim just have mine repaired $150 now i just had to file a complaint with bbb next is small claims court read more

I signed up for their monthly promotion for unlimited exterior washes, where the first month should have only been $1.00, and then (with tax) $43.40 each additional month (overall not bad when you consider one exterior wash is $25.00). When I signed up, they charged me the full price, and said the second month I would get charge $1.00. As of Saturday, they charged me full price for the second month. I left both voicemails and emails to have this corrected, and still no one has gotten back to me, so I contacted my bank and disputed the charge. read more

brought my car in for full service. The attendant who vacuumed and cleaned the inside did a poor job. after paying $40 I expected my car to be thoroughly cleaned on the inside. instead the cup holders were not cleaned, the bottom of the doors not wiped and vacuuming was very slipshod. sand under the front seat and mats weren't picked up and sand was under there too. I won't be going back to this place. it was so much better with previous owner, Don's car wash. so disappointed read more

This car wash is ok. I would like to know who the owner is cause there is no show fir the customer. Its like they just expect u to have a wash and just like no lights no nothing. Its just no like show and the regular costs $15 who on earth in their right mind would pay that price? But alas the Belanger equipment was quite nice. The first part is nice and it preps the car and sprays cleaner but barely. The brushes are nice and you wanna know something the owner should invest in some LED lights for the wash it would be based on the wash package like red blue or green or gold. This way the customer knows what they paid for based on the package. Its more enticing to each customer that visits your wash. Customer service is low and the person barely talks to you. English people should be employed so you can understand what they are trying to tell you. Would not come back unless its an emergency. read more

This place used to be Don's Car wash. They always did a great job. NOT PRIME SHINE CAR WASH. I dropped my car off at 8 am for a full detail. I received several different price quotes but unsure what the final cost would be. It was $225 plus tax. I returned at 4 pm and my car just went in to be cleaned. The pick up truck before spent the whole day in the shop being cleaned. He had some paint on his truck and he said that they did a lousy job and refused paying $500 since they did not do the clay cleaning on his truck. So my car was quickly washed and waxed. I had to show the employee that the inside of my doors were dirty. They missed the side of the car. Meanwhile the previous customer called the police and they arrived when I was still there at 5:30 pm. They did the worst detailing job. Missed half of the inside front with their armorall. My trunk was just vacuumed. Still had salt in it that I wanted cleaned. I had to windex my car windows since they poorly cleaned them. I will NEVER go back or recommend this horrible car wash. STAY AWAY!! read more
