I've been visiting the store for 12 years switched to cvs pharmacies because I've never waited any less than 20 minutes in line For a medication. And that is low end wasted time Tonight They were mopping the floors at 10pm while the store was open and closed down every aisle, except for the drink aisle the pharmacy aisle. The woman at the register would not let me go in any other area of the store to buy what I came for. Absolute garbage. I have been wanting to write a complaint about the store for literally 10 years and I finally just got around to it. And this is an extremely mild complaint.

First, the parking lot structure is terrible; there are areas where there SHOULD be stop signs but instead, it's a free for all. Second, 8/10 there's no shopping carts available to use and they're all over the parking lot, in the grass towards the END of the parking lot and who knows where else Third, it is an absolute zoo in there. Good luck maneuvering around without hitting anyone with your cart and if you do, prepare for a dirty look from someone you don't even know while making you feel like you're scum of the earth. This isn't Walmarts fault; it's the general populations fault. Fourth, everything in the beauty department is locked up minus a few things of course and it took over 15 minutes of me continuously pressing the button for assistance, to even be helped. Well, when someone finally is able to assist you; that item is taken up to the register and by the time you're ready to check out, you have no idea where it's located so your cashier has to go find it. I understand there may be a lot of theft but the amount of items locked up is so irritating and such a waste of time Fifth, the wait times in the lines are at least 15-30 minutes, not even kidding. I went to the counter to check the status and was told that they did not have the medicine in stock. Mind you, an hour and thirty-four minutes had passed. Stopped by this Walgreens and asked Angela, the Pharmacy Technician if they had the medicine in stock. She checked and came back and let me know that it was in stock. She said it would take about an hour. I told her that I was feeling horrible and couldn't wait that long. She asked me to have a seat and said she would take care of me. Not even fifteen minutes passed before Angela called my name. I am truly grateful for my angel of the day. A woman who was kind, caring and empathetic. I had just left Urgent Care with a fever of 103.7, body aches, chills and feeling weak. Tested positive for the flu strain A. Took a pill as soon as I got into my car with some water I had earlier. I highly recommend downloading the CVS mobile app to scan prices of items and see if there are any coupons or deals you can attach or attached with it. Overall Experience: Overall, I always have a good experience at CVS on 103rd St. & Pulaski Rd. One suggestion would be adding a button in the laundry/air fresher aisle since those items are locked up. There are times where I needed to get items that are locked up and waited a while just for someone to assist. We came to pick up medications at 3pm. The older lady said they didn't have it in and would have to order it. Luckily the wonderful CVS in Palos had checked for me and knew that they had it. So, I politely corrected her and then she went silent for 25 minutes with me in the drive thru. Finally, I rang the bell. She gave me the church (waiting) finger. I motioned for her to open the window. Reluctantly and rolling her eyes she did. I said I just want to know if you even have the medicine since you haven't communicated in a while. She said yes but you have to wait. Rolled her eyes. Closed the window. 10 minutes later, she opened the window and said they'll text us when it's ready. Started closing the window again. I said do you have any idea how long that will be. She said,"They'll text you." Closed the window. I used the app, messaged the pharmacist at 7pm. I also called the pharmacist at 6pm and left a request for a call back which was supposed to happen within an hour. My husband also called and left a message at 7:30. Finally, we drove up there. It was 7:55 and they closed at 8. Same old lady...still with her shining personality. I asked her if our order was ready. She walked away, came back with the meds. Immediately after we paid her and she passed us our meds, 8pm on the dot, the pharmacist who never responded to the calls, online messages, or our complications at the window...basically ran over to us to put the security shutters down and the closed sign up in our face and lock the drive-thru window while still not making eye contact. Honestly if it wasn't so belligerent, it would have been funny. I think he thought we were supposed to apologize for wanting our medicine FIVE hours after it was supposed to be ready. I told them repeatedly that my husband was just discharged and had to have the medicine at night. No return calls, no return texts, no return online messages. Just attitude, rudeness, dismissing and incompetence. Take my advice and go to the Palos Heights CVS on Southwest Hwy. It's worth the drive and the gas!!!!
