Afterwards the sprinkler heads were not functioning correctly and underground pipes were leaking. I called seven businesses trying to get someone out to diagnose and fix my dad's sprinkler problems. I left a message with Veteran's Landscaping & Irrigation and received a call back within 30 minutes. Mr. Davis agreed to stop by my dad's to check out the sprinkler and leaks. Mr. Davis diagnosed the problems and came up with an itemized list of hardware needed to repair my dad's sprinklers and leaks. He was on time and reliable while working in my dad's yard. The neighbor who caused the problem watched as Mr. Davis was able to fix my dad's sprinklers and leaks and asked Mr. Davis to fix their sprinkler issues once he completed my dad's work. My dad was very pleased with the work Mr. Davis did. Dad had miscellaneous greenery growing in his backyard that he hired Mr. Davis to remove. Another great job performed by Mr. Davis's crew! Dad was very happy to see that area of the yard cleaned up. My mother-in-law had old overgrown shrubs from 1972 in her front yard that I asked Mr. Davis to look at and provide an estimate for removal and replanting of bushes. He takes into consideration how plants will mature, your wants versus your ability to care for the plants installed. Greg made several recommendations of other plants to consider. It was obvious he was truly an expert. Greg listened to my requests and recommended alternative varieties that exceeded my expectations i.e. hardier, longer blooming, disease resistant. You know what they say when something seems too good to be true?! Well, that's certainly the case…read morewith The Grounds Guys. We initially were over the moon with the work they did for us. We still love the design, but the lack of quality started to show through on some of the work. The drainage that they created backs up and creates more of a mess than it was to start with, the plastic edging they used has snapped in several places leaving a breach in the mulch to the gravel, and several of the plants they planted died. We contacted them, given that the work came with a guarantee, and were so, so disappointed in their response, or lack thereof. To get a response I had to google search to find the owner's email address. This did get a response, but never a resolution. They made excuses that they couldn't figure out where the edging was purchased and therefore couldn't replace it. When I pushed back they asked me to help compensate the replacement because it was expensive. Needless to say, they never stepped up to make things right. In fact, they just quit responding. In a nutshell, they are nonresponsive and don't stand behind the quality of their work. The guarantee that comes with the work is completely worthless. Avoid working with this company if possible.
