I look forward to each visit and the salon is located in the heart of Tampa, a great location. They are very reliable by phone but you can also text the number if you have a quick question. It has been a year since then and every single morning I brush my hair I wish I NEVER had that appointment with her on 08/10/2023. Although I do recommend Priel Salon. It's a wonderful place and a Dayli hairstylist is above the 5 stars. A photo BEFORE/AFTER is worth more than 1000 words. That day I simply asked Eryka Moya for a toner to enhance my already blonde hair color. And look what she did! 10 years of hard work to grow my natural length was destroyed with less than an hour because she put color instead of toner. Half of my hair is GONE. The whole structure of whatever left is severely damaged. Negligence and unprofessionalism. After what she did her professional license should be revoked. The Stylists are very good but the leadership and business practices are just ridiculous. I followed my stylist to Priel, I schedule every 4 to 5 weeks color, highlights, cut, conditioning and blowout. I needed to cancel an appointment, a week prior to the appointment I called to cancel. I tried to reschedule online was informed they would call me. When they called, I was driving, we rescheduled and then was told then needed 50% deposit. I asked why was told "I don't know the systems says so". When I explained I was driving was told "They can't schedule the appointment without the deposit. Warm welcoming business practices - NO. I have been going to Cynthia for 10 years and I refuse to go anywhere else! I used to go to her salon in Citrus Park and now go to her newer salon in Downtown Tampa. First off, the salon is absolutely stunning, the products they use--Kerastase-- are the best out there, and the entire staff from the front desk to the newest employee make you feel like family. Cynthia has created an atmosphere of happiness and dedication that shines through to her clients. On top of that, Cynthia truly does the most beautiful balayage I have ever seen! She is so truly talented that all of her work is absolutely stunning. I have changed my color & style throughout the years but everywhere I go I am complimented and asked where I get my hair done! Wednesday May 11, 2016 This is the only salon I know that has ever required a deposit to make an appointment, and a hefty deposit at that. 50% of the total. They are also very expensive, more than the top salon I frequent in Manhattan. Until my friend told me about this salon, I hadn't heard of it before. We shall see if their work is worth their demands. Friday May 13, 2016 -2 hours into my appointment:- So far the energy of the salon is much better today. Maybe because one of the owners is here today. I really appreciate that I am not facing a wall with a mirror in it during the color application. A wall feels so imprisoning when at a salon for hours. Looking at pretty things and products is much better Han looking at a wall. The lighting in here is uplifting. The tester products in the bathroom makes for a luxurious powder room break. And the wallpaper is adorable. - so are the polka dot pink cups for tea. Mara is very attentive today and confirmed the look I wanted to achieve as per our discussion in my consult two days prior. -5 hours later after the start of the appointment- Wow! I am very disappointed in the result of my service. I am disappointed with the contrast of the outcome of my hair color. 4 1/2 hours and $500 later, the result does not justify the investment. During the blowout I was informed that I will need to return to lighten my hair even more in order to achieve it's outcome. The whole point of this hairstyle was to prevent future maintenance to my locks. I asked my girlfriend if she noticed anything different about my hair and she could not point out a difference. **Look at the before and after photos of my hair and decide for yourself.** Mara worked diligently the entire duration of my visit and she deserves every penny of her tip. read more

Beautiful salon, great atmosphere. The owner and stylists genuinely care about your experience. They use top notch products and that's why I primarily chose them. They're a Kerastase salon and I've been using their stuff since high school. I have naturally curly hair and it's the only thing that's ever consistently worked. Therefore, going to this salon means they'll be able to maintain the health of my hair especially since it's lightened. This is a GREAT hair salon! Everything about this place is top notch, from the convenient location, to the chic decor, to the great quality and competitive prices. I have bounced around from salon to salon in my few years in Tampa, never really finding somewhere that I liked enough to become a repeat customer. However, when I discovered Priel Salon next to my job I was drawn in by the friendly, welcoming attitudes of the staff and decided to give it a try. I now recommend this place to anyone looking for a great experience - they can do anything from a simple cut and blow dry to a keratin smoothing treatment (which I have not tried myself, but seen the impressive results on others). The owners are wonderful people and Cynthia is a talented and FAST hair stylist, which is always appreciated. Definitely try Priel Salon if you are looking for something new. I really like this place, it's only been around for a short amount of time, but they treat their customers very well and will offer you a water, soda or even a class of wine if you wish. I'm so glad I found Priel Salon! I've moved around quite a bit so I've been a client at many salons over the years all over the country and Priel is, by far, one of the best salons I've ever been to. My stylist is Meagan and she is fantastic - she has done a terrific job every time on my cut and color. I definitely value Meagan's opinion and trust her completely. She's very honest and sets realistic expectations especially about color because a certain color will look different on everyone and will fade at different rates. The other stylists are just as great. I've never seen anyone walk out with a bad haircut or color when I'm there for my appointment. Additionally, I think their prices are extremely reasonable based on the stylists' levels so don't hesitate to explain what price range you're comfortable with and they'll find the right stylist who fits your needs, but won't break your budget. This place is over priced and rips off college students. Normally a 150 dollar foil is close to 400 here! That is coming from Boston where things are not cheap! They took 4 and 1/2 hrs to do a foil and my daughters roots were still dark. I've read other reviews since this happened and it seems to be a common theme at this place. The only thing that should cost that much is a color correction and extensions. Do not go to this salon. Not everyone wants Balyage. They want their roots done. Simple procedure in almost every salon in America. I knew 3 hrs into the service my daughter should have been finished. Major red flags. Very unprofessional and called me honey. So condescending. College students beware unless you want to throw your money away. I sent them pics of my daughters hair and her roots and they wanted her to come back! No give her a refund for some of her pain! Why would anyone want to return to that situation and sit there again! read more

I was very disappointed with my last trip to this salon and emailed them to let them know, but received no reply. They double booked my appointment apparently and my stylist had almost no time for me and kept handing me off to different people- (I would expect as a walk in but I made an appointment a week in advance) when I was waiting for another stylist to finish her appointment so she could dry my hair I was too frustrated and left with wet unbrushed hair. Very disappointing experience overall. The salon is modern and clean but very overpriced. The owner will try to sell you the most expensive service and in addition add other services which are not necessary but simply just nice to have. Be smart to question everything you get done to your hair!!! 400$ or so later my hair looked the same. A bit blonder i guess but not much noticeable difference. Definitely not worth the money and the 5 hrs of my time. The salon sells other hair related merchandise which is also very overpriced. Google the item before you purchase from there. In conclusion, there are many salons out there where you can get your hair done a lot better for half the price. I don't recommend you visiting this place. I am not going back there. I just had my first hair appoint with Cynthia last week and I'm in LOVE with my hair! I was with the same stylist for 10 years before she moved and i have tried different stylist in the area and I can honestly say I Priel Salon is my new salon. I called Priel after having a bad highlighing experience that ruined a balayage that i had done (with a different stylist) I was so upset and was determined to find someone in Tampa who knew what they were doing! I contacted Priel and they offered to have me come in for a complimentary consultation to discuss how we were going to fix it. I felt very confident and made an appointment to get it fixed. Called today to make a balayage appointment and was told I needed to have a consultation first, no big deal. I showed up and had an informative consultation with Cynthia. When it was over I was given a quote and told the next available appointment which was with a different stylist (Mara). I asked if I was going to be booked with a different stylist that I felt the consultation should be with that person. Luckily she was available and she took a look at my hair. The consultation was slightly different then the first but still informative and I decided to give the salon a chance. I had been given a date and time with the first consult so I started to walk out the door to return on the 20th. The receptionist stopped me to ask if I wanted to make an appointment I stated I thought I already had. She explained she needed some more information from me and proceeded to hand me a clipboard that had the 72 cancellation policy and a price quote with a 50% deposit required to make the appointment and wanted me to sign. I have never heard of requiring a deposit to make an appointment. I was quoted $379 and they wanted 50% of that just to hold the appointment!? I felt this was asking too much especially from a salon that I have never been to. I have been to many high end salons and none have ever asked for a deposit nor were in a strip mall. I had the most amazing experience ever a this salon. I have over the past several years gone to some high end salons hoping for better results with my blonde highlights on my naturally dark brown hair. I have been severely disappointed with the damage that has been caused to my hair and inability of hair dressers to "match" my previous highlights. I went to this salon on the recommendation from a friend and was put my faith in the hands of the artist...Latisha. She did the most amazing job!! I can honestly say it was the best highlight job I have ever had in my whole life. I have been putting blonde in my hair for almost 25 years ( I am almost 40). All the hairstylist were knowledgeable. I walked out with great info and product knowledge but was not pressured to buy stuff. I have never been more satisfied and I can not say enough good things. It has been 5 weeks since my visit and my hair is still awesome. Allot of times I will loose some of the blonde due to breakage/over processing or the color will change or not be as nice in certain lights. I have never been more pleased. I'm sorry to say that my experience with Priel Salon was not satisfactory. I don't know if it's the policy of this salon for their hair stylists to try and sell services and products without let up or if this was the policy of just my hair stylists to run up the bill as much as possible. Being new to the area and looking for a good salon, I decided to try Priel Salon. My already short hair just needed fresh highlights and a fresh cut. My stylists kept suggesting an array of treatments which ran my bill to around $300.00 including buying a shampoo and conditioner she insisted I needed. My second visit was $152.00 plus tip and didn't even include the highlights that I needed. She instead did a color all over my hair which was more red than the light blonde I again requested. I went for a third visit and was very frank that I needed very light color blonde highlights because the bleach helps my very fine hair have the body it needs. My bill was over $200.00 and my hair is hardly a light color blonde. It's more of a dishwater brown. My visit was a total waste of $200.00. I don't go to a salon to have to keep hearing about treatments that I don't need and constantly listening to a sales pitch for products. I left my last visit wishing I had listened to my gut feelings about this hairdresser instead of giving her three chances to do what was right. She doesn't appear to be knowledgeable about color or know how to make a customer have a pleasant experience without all the sales pitches. Cynthia, the salon owner, has been cutting my hair ever since I moved to Florida eight years ago. She's the best, so of course I followed her when she started her own salon. The Salon stays current with the latest & greatest styles, trends and products, and has a fantastic team of talented professionals who do everything, including consult with you about style, color and treatment. I have VERY sensitive skin and they happened to have a brand new - just hit the market - sensitive skin shampoo by Kerastase, that hands down, is the best shampoo i've ever used. ZERO stars if possible! Horrible. The owner of the salon has been doing my families hair for over 10 years. She started her own salon & of course prices went up (no biggie). However, when I ask for ombré & she doesn't bayalage it & literally lightens the ends, throws foil on the bottom & trims (it's short so I'm growing it out) & charges $290 later, that's rip off. Second, she did my hair for my wedding & left without doing my husbands! That's your JOB! How can you forget this? And third, now my sisters wedding is approaching, she scheduled to go in & have another girl do her hair for the big day & she's not even on the books for service! She Booked this with the front desk aka the husband of the owner. All of a sudden the girls can't leave the salon unless it's for a $400 travel fee on top of what she would charge to do her hair! Prices are so unreasonable, this isn't South Tampa or NY, you're in front of a Walmart on Gunn Hwy. On top of it, she had the audacity to tell my sister not to have her make up being done bc they wouldn't be able to accommodate her for her wedding. Cynthia used to be a phenomenal stylist (been working on our entire family for over 10years), but with the opening of her salon & horrible husband with no etiquette, quality, being personable, & price went out the window.
