I had a very upsetting experience at this salon as a first-time client. I booked an appointment to…read moreget my roots done and was genuinely looking forward to having a little time to myself as a busy mom of two. When I arrived, I had my two-year-old with me in a stroller. She was calm, quiet, and watching a movie completely unbothering anyone. The salon itself was nearly empty, with only one other client present. Instead of being welcomed, I was immediately met with a very cold and judgmental attitude from the front desk. I was looked up and down, along with my stroller, and told in a very rude and inflexible manner that children were not allowed and that I would either need to leave or reschedule. As a mother, it is not always easy to find time for self-care, and I made the effort to come in for this appointment. The lack of empathy or basic courtesy was honestly shocking. There was zero attempt to accommodate, problem-solve, or even speak kindly. To make matters worse, I was charged $75 (50% of the service) simply for having to leave despite the fact that the situation could have been handled with basic human decency and flexibility. I do want to note that Desi, the hairstylist, did try to be kind while witnessing the way I was being treated, and I appreciate that. I understand this situation was not her fault. However, the overall customer service and experience are a direct reflection of the business she represents. This was the first time I've ever experienced something like this at a salon. I left feeling embarrassed, dismissed, and frankly, discriminated against for being a mother. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this salon especially to other moms. There are plenty of places that treat clients with respect, kindness, and understanding. This was not one of them.

Damaris is so friendly and personable. She really pays attention to my hair needs and will make recommendations accordingly. I have Alopecia Areata and an Autoimmune Thyroid condition so I deal with hair shedding/fall-out and texture issues from time to time. She has helped to make my hair look healthy, full, and shiny. My needs are usually very simple. Long hair with gray root coverage. Although I did have balayage for several years. It looked really nice, but I use infrared saunas often and it can sometimes be drying to the hair so I've let the balayage grow out since. Whatever your hair needs are, give Damaris a try. I showed up Sunday morning to discover I didn't have an appointment. Apparently, while booking on my cell phone, I had booked for Saturday morning accidentally. They didn't allow me to reschedule my service that I had paid for since "the owner doesn't usually do that" even though they had ton's of available appointments the following day. I am out $50.00 and will never go to this or their Tampa location. I guess they prefer bad reviews rather than giving a customer what they paid for.

They picked the perfect spot to bring the aesthetic and vibes or GP, but make it Tampa. Alright, the important stuff. The hair. As expected, I got the perfect dry blowout. I love that they used the flat iron technique because it ensures longevity, especially on a warm day. I kid you not, I feel like a new woman when I leave GP. No more dying or blow drying into submission into what it's not. Part of that journey means changing hairstylists. So, after having made a few bad decisions with my hair, I decided to go a different direction. For the past year I've been going here for hair treatments and haircuts. Very nice salon that offers you a beverage while you wait for your appointment in very posh comfortable seating. I met with my stylist and discussed with her what's been going on with my hair. I expressed all my concerns and hair goals and my stylist was very good helping me reach those goals and achieving the look I want. She gives me a lot of good input and feedback while working with me, and with her help, we've turned the clock somewhat with my hair so now it's as healthy as it was when I was twenty-five! Overall great experience getting my hair washed and massaged. They give you two free services (I go with chakras and scalp massage) but you can get upgrades if you choose, which I might take advantage of one day, I don't know. Also some snacks for when you're sitting under the drier with your treatment. May do that too one day.
