I've never had any issues, and all appointments I've had went great, the staff has also always been respectful and welcoming. He is knowledgeable in many areas. I've seen him for regular check and more robust/precise condition. I also do all my blood work, and other test there. Highly recommended -

Later this year, I needed clearance for an upcoming surgery, which only required basic procedures like a blood test, EKG, an X-ray, and reviewing the results to confirm I was fit for surgery. My original surgery was scheduled for the end of July, but the hospital never received the necessary clearance documents from Dr. Thierry's office before the procedure. Since the surgery was rescheduled I only needed to repeat the blood work. I had the blood test done on Thursday morning, and it was sent to the lab. By Tuesday, I called Dr. Jacquemin's office, and the receptionist confirmed they had received the results, were preparing the documents, and would send them to the hospital that day--but they didn't. They failed to send them on Wednesday and Thursday as well. My surgery was scheduled for Friday morning. After another call to the office on Thursday afternoon, I was told, "We're working on it and sending it now" at ~3 p.m. I called the hospital 30 minutes later, and they still hadn't received anything. I called Dr. Jacquemin's office again, and they asked me to hold briefly. While on hold for 20-30 minutes, I biked to the office, where they finally told me, "We just signed your documents. We were waiting for the lab results and the doctor was with a patient". They lied to me because they had already confirmed on Tuesday that they had received the lab results. No apology, nothing. I spent nearly an hour there, making sure the hospital received everything. If you want to add a nerve-wracking experience on top of preparing for surgery, good luck dealing with this office.

Not many people review doctors... but they should. I went…read morehere today and although my waiting room experience wasnt the best, my doctor experience was good. Peter shares an office with Dr Ricardo Calogne and I saw Dr Calogne. He was very good. I went in for a yearly physical (something I haven't done in years), and overall my visit was good. I liked that he asked questions and that he didn't seem rushed. I would recommend him. If you look at the reviews for Mercy hospital you will see that they all mention how outdated and old the hospital is. This practice is in the Professional Building of the hospital and it really is no exception. The hallways look very outdated. I wish Dr Calogne office staff was a little nicer.. .friendlier. I have an HMO and hadnt assigned him as my PCP and they weren't very nice. They said- "well you have to do that or else we can't see you." I got it done there in the waiting room and it was no big deal. It just would have been nice if they helped me get Atena number.. or even if they were just a little nicer in the way they said it. I was the only person there, so they werent rushed. It was just strange. Anyhoooo.. The doc was good. I recommend.

I went to him as a child all the way to my young adult years where I ultimately made the decision to go somewhere else and encouraged the rest of my family to as well. His staff treated me horribly years ago when I had gathered the courage to start going without my family as a young adult. The phlebotomist or nurse was fishing for my veins for blood, i had asked her repeatedly not to dig into my arm with the needle but to just remove the needle and attempt the stick again, she would clean my arm with an alcohol swab in preparation to reinsert the needle but just before insertion would touch the aseptic spot again with her dirty fingertips. Little experiences like that was alarming. Now I'm hearing from family there is a fee for blood work and upon results of the blood work you must then pay an additional fee to know the results. This MD laughed in my family members face when she confronted him over this and told her to look for a different doctor if this was an issue but just before the conversation ended he had some ounce of class and disclosed the blood results to her and when she asked an additional question following the results as ANY concerned PATIENT would, he made it clear he was done helping her. She was a LOYAL patient of almost 20 years even when I had informed her and others she should look elsewhere. As a healthcare professional myself and someone who works inpatient and with a plethora of medical doctors of varying specialties.. this type of MD is trash. If you can't treat your patients like you would want your own family to be treated then perhaps it's time to throw in the towel because the passion has clearly died. Please beware.. and look for a MD with a zest for knowledge and a normal human amount of empathy

I've been seeing her for three years and now that I'm leaving Miami, I'm kind of traumatized thinking about having to find a doctor as good as Dr. Shaffer again! Dr. Shaffer is associated with Baptist and you can communicate with her office using Baptist's online portal as well as see all of your exam summaries and lab results. She was covered under my United Healthcare Insurance, and luckily still in-network when I switched to Cigna. She shares the office with one or two other doctors who I believe are both "concierge doctors" so needless to say the office is beautiful and spotless. They can do EKGs and x-rays in office, as well as all of your blood work right then and there. I've seen her for everything from yearly physicals and strep throat to more complicated issues. She is so kind and intelligent. I have never once felt any bit uncomfortable or awkward when talking to her. Her office staff is wonderful too, particularly Courtney, and many times I've been able to get an appointment same day. Her office is located off of Lincoln Road, but there is a huge parking garage right next door with very reasonable rates. I think at most I have ever paid $8 and that was for a fairly long physical with labs, followed by a stop at Shake Shack across the street (because what else do you do after getting a physical?) As far as any negatives, the wait time can at times be a bit long, but since the service is so good I really don't mind. They're usually good about submitting prescription refills as well, I've only had to call them once or twice to follow-up on a refill. Her old assistant, Minerva I believe, used to be a bit scattered, but her new one Courtney is totally on top of everything.

I came to see one of the MDs in the group, Dr. Cindy Shaffer, a primary care physician affiliated with Baptist Health. I had pleasant interactions with the entire medical staff. Also, this office is enormous, modern and equipped with state of the art diagnostics like ultrasound, x-ray, and they even do EKG and lab testing in office which is a HUGE time saver. The phlebotomist drawing my labs did a great job. The only drawback is finding parking near lincoln rd. so give yourself extra time.
