Today was my first day at Hubble and I've been waiting for this job for months and I started on a new medication that makes me nauseous and I am 10 almost 11 weeks pregnant so puking and nausea is a part of the process but I don't do it everyday but with this new medication I need food my father was supposed to bring me some food he dropped me off at work this morning cuz my car is having some trouble and I got a message from him saying that he was not going to bring me food so I asked the man who was doing the orientation if I could go outside to speak with him and he said it was okay!! My dad ended up saying he's not coming so I came back in and was very nauseous towards the end of the orientation watching the videos I shut my eyes because I didn't want to puke or end up leaving again and I at the end of the orientation I was told to go to HR because they were going to make me leave and the HR lady said I left during orientation which was baf but I was told I could so that was confusing and I told her that I was told that I could go and then she said that I was falling asleep at the end and I said I wasn't falling asleep I shut my eyes and I listened to everything that was said but I had to shut my eyes cuz I'm pregnant and I'm sick and ended up not getting any food so there was that and she told me to leave and that they would talk about if I could come back for orientation next week and pride staff has been nothing but horrible to me I wrote them an excellent review for the first job that I did and they were very very horrible to me at that other job because it was metal and I had to have my wisdom teeth removed I had a lot of stuff going on with that but they were afraid that I was a liability so they let me go and now pride stuff is telling me that they will not give me any other jobs through their organization even though I am an excellent worker and I did an amazing job at the other place Carolina metals and that's the job that I wrote an excellent review for for pride staff for helping me get and I wish that I did not and I wish I could take it back and I'm trying to figure out how to but this is insane I have been waiting for this job for months I'm an excellent worker I work very very hard and I am very sad this is happening I know that most people don't read these reviews but whoever does please understand pride staff is not a good agency they do not work for people they do not listen and did you not care if you're pregnant and if you're nauseous and that the other organization has been very mean and rude when you're trying to explain to them what the issue is and that they I was told one thing but then ended up getting in trouble for it which is insane. I ended up working with this office after a job I applied to on Indeed didn't work out. Initially, they were pleasant, and seemed to be receptive to what I was looking for. The problem arose when I kept hearing about positions that did not pay enough to live on. I am lucky enough to be looking for a better opportunity while employed, and the kind of pay cuts they were suggesting would put me on the street. But I stuck it out as it never hurts to have more people keeping an eye out for openings. The last straw was the pushiness- multiple calls during the workday, on top of text messages, and voice mails that got increasingly passive-aggressive. I wasn't ghosting them, mind you, but I am not able to take multiple calls while at work, and two messages after I took a call in the morning is excessive. Guilt-tripping me for an interview "not being set up" when I have made it clear I am at work and will not be able to drop everything for two more calls before 3:15 is unrealistic and unacceptable. Between the non-viability of the positions offered and the consistent lack of respect for my work schedule, I requested that my profile be deactivated. Searching for a job is difficult enough without calls stacking up, and without being spoken to as if I'm a child slacking off on her schoolwork. I've worked with temp agencies and recruiters before and I understand that there's a certain amount of pushiness (unfortunately) baked into the industry, but this was sustained and ridiculous enough that it's not worth dealing with. When I took on the job and was reporting to her that the work environment they placed me in was toxic, she did not find me new work and was extremely unprofessional, basically telling me to "suck it up". If you ever want to call out ahead of time, look forward to being held accountable even if you have a doctor's note excusing yourself. You will be fired from an assignment with no warning.
