They are an amazing Staffing agency. Gail and Jayme are absolutely delightful. They work hard to help people find jobs they like. They have great relations with employers in the area. They are incredibly friendly and great people. They helped me find a position when I really needed one. I had a great experience. read more

Horrible. Wanted to get help with my job search. They actually profiled me because of where I live (which is not in the Conejo Valley). The staff does not care about you or your livelihood, as they prefer to do the bare minimum. I would never recommend them and hope that people who truly want good service to find another staffing agency. read more

Gail and Jamye are wonderful. They were helpful and kind making sure that they answered any of your questions and concerns along the way. Gail was able to set an interview with a wonderful a company and was really helpful in ensuring that I was prepared. Jamye and Gail were a pleasure to work with. Every time I had any questions or concerns they would always get back to me the same business day. They found me a job very close to home that was exactly what I was looking for in more ways than one. Company hired me on permanently and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend them if you are actively looking for a new job! read more

This staffing company hires you tells you it is one job and one salary then about a day two later then change your salary (less money) and job make it Physically demanding. Then after two weeks you are done. Such a Shoddy operation. Would not recommend this company anyone alive or dead. Just stupid and dumb. If you have a choice what ever you do, do not use these people in anyway shape or frame.. read more

This is a fantastic staffing service! Gail is very personable and really strives to find the right job for you, taking into account the position and the individual. Very shortly after meeting with her, Gail set me up with a very promising interview and walked me through each step needed to ensure I was well informed before my interview. If you're looking for a new job or career I definitely recommend Barrington Staffing Services to help, these ladies truly know what they're doing and have proven that they do it well! A friend of mine pointed me to a job opening that happened to be administered by Barrington. Being a college student who had only ever worked on-campus, the prospect of getting an outside job was a bit daunting at first. That's where Jayme and the wonderful ladies at Barrington really shined! They were incredibly helpful and pleasant to work with, and helped me not only land the job, but eventually transition to an official capacity at the organization! Throughout my entire tenure, they understood my work-study situation, and were very professional about any scheduling conflicts I had. [Me] being new to the outside job market, they were also very knowledgeable in guiding me through all the necessary bureaucracy. If we're being really honest, I cannot remember a single qualm that I had with their services. Barrington was so great that I had to recommend them to my brother, who is now also working with them. If you're in the market for employment: this is it chief! read more

A wonderful staffing agency that I highly recommend and would definitely use again if I ever need to look for a job in the future. Gail and Jamye were excellent, they are quick to answer any questions, are always willing to help and they respond right away. Top notch staffing agency!! Thank you Gail, Jamye and Barrington Staffing!!! read more

I saw a temp job that looked good. Gail and Jayme, in the Thousand Oaks office, were very nice, professional, and made the application process easy. They made clear the payment arrangements and followed through exactly as they said they would. Anytime I call their office regarding anything, they always make me feel respected by handling my concerns right away. I've been to other Temp agencies and they are ok. However, no one compares to the professionals are at Barrington! Tell them Wayne sent you! read more

Barrington is not getting a one star because they couldn't find me a job. They're getting a one star because after I let them know I was no longer going to be working for them they neglected to pay my final pay check in the same timely fashion as they did when I was making them money. Jamie also tried telling me that the 72 hour rule (you me be paid within 72 hours of quitting a job) only applies to be fired (nope, actually you have to pay same day when letting someone go, and it's 72 when quitting without a 72 hour notice.) learn labor laws Jamie or don't quote them! Anyway I have filed a complaint with the state labor board because of this. I called and gave them a chance to fix the problem by cutting me a check I was willing to go pick up but I wasn't even given a call back, just given excuses. Shame on you Barrington Staffing. read more

I want to like this business, mostly because all the staff is really friendly. But when it comes down to it they are not helping me get a job. About five weeks ago I went in for and talked to Barrington Staffing, bringing a resume and references with me. The interview went well and I did a bunch of tests on their computers. I scored well on all of them (wpm, filing, data entry, ms word, excel, powerpoint, photoshop). I call in every week to make sure my account stays active and my resume is on the top of the pile. After all of this I still have not even talked to one possible employer. The day I interviewed Debbie said she had a position I would be perfect for. The next week she informed my it was filled with another person through Barrington's. I didn't even get a chance to interview. Since then I have not heard of a single job opportunity. You would think I would at least get a single interview somewhere considering I have a solid employment history, graduated from college, and scored well on all their tests. The whole process took about four hours. You are much better off putting those four hours into job hunting on monster/craigslist/cold calling companies, basically anything. read more

Four years ago I was looking for a job. I was a stay at home mom and managed a business from home. I had not been in the workforce for 5 years and had recently divorced. So we dissolved the business. It was a tough transition. The one very important thing was for someone to understand I was qualified and give me a chance. Barrington placed me with an employer that was willing to give me a chance. 4 years later I'm still here thriving and very happy. Thank you for giving me a chance and helping me read more

Responded to a job listing through Barrington Staffing early morning January 20th 2015. Got a call back from the friendly team within an hour and was able to book a same day appointment! I Was offered several Interview Times to help work around My schedule and to encourage me to come in and see what was available. Barrington worked diligently to assess my goals and qualifications based on my Work Experience, Education, and a Skill Assessment program they personalized for me. We discussed the position I was interested in as well as other openings in the Area. They even helped me fine tune my Resume! All of this was Free!!! After following their Guidance I left with a renewed sense of confidence that, with Barrington's pointing the way, I might start the New Year fresh and land a job that fit my needs. I received a call from Barringtons the very next day to check in. They were scheduling the Interview for me to meet with the Well Established company whose Position I had inquired about. Again the Team at Barrington Staffing took care of the details for me, contacting the Employer to get an Interview time that fit my needs and the Employer's Schedule. I personally think this has been the biggest challenge for me when applying at the beginning or end of any year. But Barrington's opened the door. Very excited for the Interview tomorrow, but actually feeling quite relaxed! Working with Barrington's Staffing has been like having a Coach who encourages and motivates you and who is invested in your Success. You can tell they take Pride in what they do! Barrington has been a great staffing service to work with. I love their dedication to finding the right job for you, and after one interview I got a part time job that has now led me to a full time job with the same company. They respond to emails rapidly and are really there for you when you need them. Thank you Barrington for your hard work!! read more

I wish I could give these wonderful ladies more stars! From the second I began working with Barrington Staffing I felt at ease and completely comfortable. They are extremely friendly yet efficient in what they do. Within a day of my agency interview they found me my job, which I absolutely love! Even when I call them now for follow-ups, it is an absolute joy to speak with them. I also had a family emergency and could not start my job right away and they were understanding and genuinely concerned about me. If you're looking for an agency to help you find your dream job, look no further!! read more

I believe that Barrington Staffing just collects resumes. They post jobs all the time online, but when you send your resume in for a job you are interested in and are actually qualified for you get a standard e-mail response that there are several applicants being considered for this job and that person will be notified by e-mail, but good luck with your job search. Then about a week later I go back on their site and that same job is still posted/listed. I have changed my resume several times, and still get the same response. I believe these jobs are just leaders. With the job market as bad as it is I feel none of these jobs actually exist. I never got a call from Barrington to say come in and speak with one of our staffing associates. Very disappointed with this company and the overall treatment I received. I went to AppleOne, and had a much better experience and success. I would say that anyone looking for a job should try their local AppleOne office. Josie read more

Waste of time. All they do is get you in the door, fill out the paperwork, and that's it. Their website doesn't have updated job listings and when you call them to find out, they give you the run around and claim to keep you "up to date if anything comes our way." Best to avoid this place at all costs! read more

Barrington helped me find work with excellent local employers quickly; the process was totally pain-free and all of the Barrington staff I dealt with were friendly and readily available. Their policies and rules are transparent and reasonable--I was somewhat hesitant to apply to a staffing agency after hearing iffy stories about other agencies from friends, but with Barrington I had no reason to sweat it. I've already recommended them to friends, and would definitely use them again, should I have a need in the future. read more

Working with Barrington has been nothing less than wonderful. All of the ladies are very diligent in their efforts to find assignments that may closely match exactly what you are looking for. I have really enjoyed working with Barrington Staffing Services. I haven't worked in an office in a long time, and Debbie and Nicole were very encouraging, and very helpful in getting me some temporary work which meshed well with my background and experience. I feel much more comfortable now in an office environment, then I did at the beginning. They were also very helpful to my son, who was able to work with them a bit while on summer break from college. read more

Barrington and the ladies I had the pleasure of working with, Gail and Jamye, were wonderful. I had never gone through a staffing agency before and they made it seamless! I went in for 1 job and nailed it! Thank you both so much! read more

While maybe not the best staffing agency they certainly are the best in Thousand Oaks. I called once a week just to check in and make sure they kept me at the top of the list and so I was fresh in their minds. If you have relevant work experience they will find you a job or at least get you interviews no problem. If you don't have experience then they are good at getting you temp work so that you can gain that experience and then they will help you land a job. If you're in TO and looking for work they are def the place to go. Or the Woodland Hills office branch. read more

Barrington Staffing scores a BIG FAT ZERO I feel like going there was a complete waste of my day and I wish that I'd stayed home and done laundry instead. I would have felt as if I had at least accomplished something! read more

Called them after 4 days of not hearing back from anyone and was told they were still reviewing my resume and someone would call me by end of day. Never got a call! Fast forward 4 months later looking at jobs on Craigslist and see many posts from Barrington Staffing for entry level, no experience necessary jobs. I am beyond qualified for many positions let alone entry level jobs. Had they called back people who have sent in their resume maybe more of these jobs would be filled through their company. read more

The entire staff is very friendly. helpful and efficient. They have placed me in positions that have been great for my career development. Worst experience of my life! I would say try another agency! You're going to regret not listening to me! I would give them a negative rating in stars if it would allow me! read more

Bad. All they do is collect resumes, and get your hopes up. They may send you on a interview every now and again but you always hear back that "they went with someone who had more experience" and thats it. They tell you about a job only to list the job on another job board website, not their own website. They are always rushing you off the phone and telling you to be patient, that the right opportunity will come along, all for nothing. Even if they say they found you a job don't believe them, it always falls through. Debbie is rude and useless. So not worth the time to go there and take all those tests. read more

Melissa at Barrington Thousand Oaks found the perfect position for me. I was retired for 5 years and wanted to work just a few hours a week. I've never known what it felt like to have a whole team of people dedicated to my success. I knew I had what it took to be an exemplary office employee, but being out of the workforce and taking care of my grandmother for so long, I was loosing the confidence and drive I once prided myself in. Thanks to the wonderful team at Barrington, I not only have the job I needed, but they found me exactly what I was looking for! If you are tired of sending out emails to 100 Craigslist ads a day, thumbing threw a newspaper finding the same ads week after week, look no further. Barrington has a caring, dedicated staff to find you what you need. Thank you to Jayme and the whole Barrington Team! read more

Barrington is an extreme disappointment. I think back and say to myself: "why did I go there in the first place!?" I wasted my time and got my hopes up for nothing. The two people there lead you on with false hopes of a promising future. The day I scheduled to stop by their office, I happened to be there while an off duty teacher was seeking secondary employment through Barrington, for the summer; I couldn't help but feel ignored, as if I were a nuisance. Not only was the attention of both the Barrington employees focused elsewhere, I was starkly guided through their guidelines and regulations; then asked to sign a whole bunch of papers, and then sent out the door...all the while they re-assured me I possess the necessary experience, skills, etc. suited for a diverse pool of employment opportunities. Let me go on to say, I NEVER got a phone call back...not even an automated "Hi how are you?" e-mail. If you are considering Barrington, STOP! Seek services from a different staffing agency, or go job hunt yourself. I want to add that I'm now a government employee with the County...a job I sought out, and was hired for, ON MY OWN; and NOT through Barrington. read more

Be careful about wasting your time signing up with this agency, whether you are looking for employment or are seeking someone to fill a position in your business! I sent my resume to them via their website. A recruiter called me the following morning and told me that they had several likely matches based on my experience. I spent 2.5 hours in their office filling out my paperwork and completing skill assessments. They confirmed that I was a good candidate for several available positions and told me they would call me the following day. I called them when they failed to call me back. They told me they had submitted my resume to several companies. I followed up twice over the course of a week as I was asked to do, and my phone calls were never returned as promised. I later found out that they had never even checked my references, which I found strange since they claimed to have already sent out my resume. I can understand a staffing agency not having a match for a particular candidate, but I think they should be straightforward about that instead of avoiding phone calls and stringing the person along. I have a college degree and did well on the skills tests that they administered. For that reason, I question how well they can serve any companies who are looking for employees and how well they can help people who are looking for work. read more
