McCoy & McCoy - Attorney Frank McCoy - McCoy & McCoy leading Hartford personal injury lawyer

McCoy & McCoy

I would like to give the highest recommendation for Attorney Frank McCoy and his staff at McCoy &…read moreMcCoy. I was referred to Attorney Frank McCoy by a friend who knew I needed answers regarding a legal situation. I met with Mr. McCoy at his downtown Hartford office. My first impression of the office was "extreme professionalism!" The reception area reminds me of a law office you would see in a movie. The first thing you notice as you enter is the firm name on the back wall. Its written in gold letters and looks beautiful. There are pictures on the other walls of congressional buildings which added to that feeling of being in a very professional upstanding office. A very friendly woman came out to greet me. She asked my name and offered me something to drink, and told me Attorney McCoy was ready to meet with me. She escorted me in to his office and introduced us. His office is on the 17th floor and the views of downtown Hartford from his windows are beautiful! You can see the entire city, all the way to Bushnell Park! His walls are decorated with diplomas and awards, and there is a huge book case filled with his own legal library. You can't help but notice he is all about technology as he has has 4 flat screen computer monitors on top of his desk! My first impression of Mr. McCoy was consistent with my impression of his office, extreme professionalism in addition to very knowledgeable! He greeted me with a friendly handshake and told me to have a seat. Before I sat down, I wanted to make sure I would not be charged for this meeting. I was told McCoy & McCoy offers a free consultation so I checked with Attorney McCoy before asking my legal questions. Mr. McCoy assured me this would be a free consultation, so I began asking my questions. When we started to talk I immediately felt more at ease. I also noticed a few things about Attorney McCoy; 1. He listened to what I was saying. He even took notes! 2. He never rushed me, interrupted me, or made me feel like I was wasting his time. 3. He took my legal questions serious and understood why I was looking for answers. 4. He asked me several questions. He genuinely cared about my situation. I have to say, it is hard to find this kind of personalized service. I have dealt with other attorneys before and have never received this kind of direct communication. After going over the facts, he answered my questions in terms I could understand. He made reference to some of Connecticut laws as needed. Attorney McCoy provided analogies so that I could understand how the laws applied to me. Listening to his answers and analogies his main concern was always his client. You can tell he genuinely cares about the people who hire him.Attorney Frank McCoy was upfront and honest with me. After speaking with him I can tell that he is genuine in his concern for people, and his respect for the law. He is an excellent communicator and speaks in terms that people can understand. I was particularly impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and most of all his honesty. Attorney McCoy is very trustworthy. He did not try to sell me or make me feel like I needed to hire an attorney. His legal staff is equally as nice and I appreciated their attention to customer service! I highly recommend Frank McCoy and McCoy & McCoy.

My review of Attorney McCoy, has triggered him to show his true colors. (read his response below,…read morethat validates his lack of integrity) He sent a federal marshall, to our home on July 22, 2014, around 7:15AM, according to neighbors who not only watched this, but (2) videoed what went on with their I-phones. This marshall, was kicking and opening the screen door to bang and bang on both doors even the side porch door, to "serve me" with a threatening email. Its not even a lawsuit which he had threatened, over my very honest review! My son never heard the banging, because his air conditioner was running. Two neighbors called my digicel phone to tell me about the noise. They were so upset, and this then "triggered,"my documented PTSD, to erupt, to a full panic attack. That causes spasms around my 4 level cervical anterior fusion. Homes on both sides of our home have daycare. Attorneys watched this marshall, kick and bang the doors, and were rather upset that their children were also seeing this, as they were dropped off for daycare. All you did was embarass your firm. They all now know, it came from McCoy. He is angry because my personal injury case, turned into a "lien case", and instead of being honest with me, he drummed up documents, I would never sign. One was a "waiver" that allows this attorney, to profit more off the personal injury then I. I am the one with ongoing medical bills. If I was going to grant "indemnity", then why file the suit to begin with? It makes no sense that I would not want the person who maimed me for life, to be held accountable. Telling me I am defaming you is stupid..the document came from your office via email. Those (2) documents are why I lost my civil rights lawsuit against the lying state trooper. It is cited in the summary judgement, so you cannot keep saying, I posted a "defamatory" review. Even John Williams can verify this. Why is the settlement, (that was altered) not dated? A ton of people want to know. . His letter goes on......"in addition, I will consider any transfer of assets including real estate from this date forward as a fraudulent transfer and I will seek to invalidate such transfer." Suing your maimed, disabled client, who lives in a MIAMI-J neck brace, and taking all her assets and "our" home? Would you want your attorney to treat you, like that? Talk about vindictive. There are tons of sites just to review attorneys and doctors. This lawfirm uses youtube to post their clients reviews. ONLY the happy clients are allowed to use their "free speech" rights. Anyone with a complaint, and its, "off with their head". The fact is, not every single person you represent is going to be elated with the outcome. You know she was underinsured, and you know I came into your office with ANTHEM as my primary insurance. The home is my husbands and he is not part of the lawsuit. We have duel citizenship, and I am positive, we will not be extradited, over a negative review. Calling me "delusional" and not a "real client", validates my review even more. Are you a "real attorney"? We are officially done now.....back to my water therapy~

We have been with this program for a number of years, bundling home and auto. Yes, the rates keep going up each year, which is to be expected. Last year seemed on the excessive side, but I let it roll. Today I realized that they are proposing a 71% increase in our premium for 2026 to 2027. What?! We are mature adult drivers with less than 10,000 annual miles of driving. My husband had a recent minor accident, but I don't believe that has even entered into the calculation for the new premium. There was no damage to the other car, very minimal damage to ours, and no injuries. No tickets or other accidents on record. 71%? What I see online is other consumers reporting that their rates were going up 45 to 50% in a number of cases. Once they shopped other providers, they were able to get much better deals. I sure hope that will be the case when our agent shops options for us. Just on general principal, I want to get away from Hartford as soon as possible! It's a good thing our renewal time is almost here, and we will be moving on away from them. Their partnering with AARP to save older drivers money seems to have turned into a bad joke, bordering on a scam.

XFINITY - I signed up for this yesterday. What a joke it's asked me to pay again . They tried to reset it which failed.

Now wide awake from the noise of it all, I called Xfinity to have a service ticket entered. The operator answered promptly, efficiently took my information and texted me my service information. I was scheduled to see a technician between 2-4pm. I was please to have that window as I knew how busy they would be. Much to my surprise, a technician arrive at my house as 11:45am! He told me he was in the area and figured he would do it while he was passing by. Within 30 minutes he had the box and line fixed and was on his way!

I got an email from another company that was a third party that started with the letter p. I had to accept their terms and conditions and then it opened up to a page that showed my transactions and the exact amount of money into my bank account. Today I told the Xfinity I no longer wanted the $10 discount because I don't want a third party to have access to everything I do in my bank account. They told me that didn't happen. They said it was because I had automatic payments set up. I have always had automatic payments and it was $50 a month. I wanted to cancel Xfinity on September 18th because that was the day before my next billing date. I was then told that the service is till the 31st of august, yet I already had a pending transaction which means they either started the transaction on the Friday the 28th of August or Saturday the 29th of August, or today, even though they shouldn't have done that until September 19th.... So I told them I wanted to completely cancel with them. So that should have been canceled tomorrow and I verified it on the phone August 31st. Within 1 hour of the phone call, today 5:30 p.m. Eastern standard Time I no longer have internet service. Highly would not recommend
