We went to an afternoon party that was catered by Pride Catering. We were meeting friends that live in a gated community. The party was held in the communities auditorium. I'm glad it was held inside with air conditioning. This is July in Florida and eating outside wouldn't have been fun. I saw that my friends already had a table when we got there. Clyde and I joined them. There were chafing dishes set up in the back of the room. People were called up in groups by the number on their table. We were at table number 31 so we had a bit of a wait. No problem. The serving line went quickly. When our table was called we got in line. I noticed that there were servers dishing out the food. Not only does that prevent people from overloading their plates and the serving utensils aren't being handled by everybody. Even though we were at one of the last tables to be called there was still plenty of food. It didn't look like they had run out of anything. The food was very good. There were hamburgers, hot dogs, bbq chicken, and ribs. Side dishes included corn on the cob, baked beans, coleslaw, and potato salad. A separate condiment table was set up with the usual fixings. Mustard, ketchup, relish, mayonnaise, sour kraut, shredded cheese and more. They had thought of everything. Separate tables were set up with bottled water, and cans of ice tea, and a variety of sodas. Later a dessert table was set up with chocolate chip cookies and brownies. The food was delicious and there was plenty left for anyone that wanted more. I took off one star because nobody recycled. At the end of the party Pride workers were picking up trash. I noticed that everything was going in large trash cans. I stopped one of Pride's workers to ask if they recycled. I didn't really get a straight answer, but it was obvious that they didn't since the trash can had lots of empty water bottles and soda cans. Even if there's no recycle bins in sight recyclable items could have been separated into trash bags. I know it takes extra effort to recycle but I think it's important. read more

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL - NEVER PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS. I would never use this caterer - they never showed up for scheduled catering event. The problem was the very unprofessional assistant who sent the proposal 5 times and each time I had to make corrections to the details - like address, amount of people. When I called the night of the event the owner could care less that he missed the party. I had used this caterer once before and the event was Ok - food was cold and they were very unorganized I should have learned my lesson the first time. After speaking to the assistant after the missed event I was assured I was receiving my deposit back due to the assistants unprofessional and unorganized business practices - it is over week since they never showed up and they are ghosting me. The service was impeccable, truly a five-star operation. The worst. Showed up over 3 hours late and without promised staff to serve and clean up. Did not provide the amount of food as contracted for. Food was not edible. Ran out of cranberry sauce for Turkey, when asked was told more in kitchen but he couldn't go get it. HUH? Our Social Director had to think on the fly as guests showed up and caterer did not. Terrible terrible terrible! Very unprofessional. If I could have given zero stars I would have. They were hired by our development for a Valentine's Day event. The event was scheduled for 6 PM. They did not show up until after 7 PM. They were supposed to show up at 4 PM. There were supposed to be 6 servers plus food prep people. There were no servers. Our social director plus residents did all the setting up plus serving and clean up. They did not supply the food they promised plus whatever food they did have was not enough and cold. At some point they warmed up food in our microwave. When they finished what little they did they just packed up and left. They left whatever items they put the so called food in for us to dispose of. I unfortunately attended a function catered by this company. I can only report on my personal experience not the problems the organization experienced, which I understand are quite numerous. In this age of Covid, to be served by unmasked staff, as well as by staff who touched eating services with bare hands was not only inappropriate but also unprofessional. The "icing on the cake" so to speak, was the gloved omelet chef, repeatedly touching his mask, pulling it up and down over his mouth, then using same hand to pat down an omelet! For my last event, we used Pride Catering, by Jason Mazza. Dinner was scheduled to begin at 6 pm, and Pride Catering was supposed to arrive at the clubhouse at 3:30. At 4 o clock, He texted me back and promised to arrive in 20 minutes. After that, he never replays any calls or texts. He finally arrived at 6:10 with a nasty attitude refusing even to give the courtesy of an explanation. We were finally served dinner after 7 pm. The food was cold and below an acceptable standard, after dinner, he disappears leaving us to clean up, a service he had been paid to perform. To add insult to injury, as the result of his unacceptable lateness, all the programs set for the evening were disrupted causing us to incur additional $500 charges. I would not recommend this company! They are great when planning menus and such but they are very disorganized. Friends hired them for a party 2 weeks ago. Despite numerous instructions and confirmations they didn't show up and when called 45 minutes before the event they claimed the event was to be the following day. Thank God for a local Pizzeria who quickly and efficiently delivered pizzas enough for 40 people. Despite a weak apology and promise of the deposit refund nothing has happened. I have been to 3 parties "catered" by this company. Catered is in quotes because for 2 of the parties, they never even showed up. Most recently a friends holiday party on Dec 17. They were left with no food or servers. Pride Catering apologized and promised my friend a full refund...and now they are ghosting him. The 3rd party...food was terrible. It is my first time working with Pride Catering FTL. They are very professional in terms of providing the best food. The choices and the taste of each appetizer were spots on. The service is quite excellent, with polite and effective servers with the cleaning up and making sure everyone is happy with the food. The best chef ever! Jason catered our entire teams (20-25 ppl) during the palm beach boat show for 4 days and all I can say everything was delicious, fresh, clean and well presented very morning for breakfast for dinner he excelled and prepared a variety of appetizers, entries, side dishes and more... always super organized, on time and ready to give his best. Where do I even begin. Jason did an exceptional job with our wedding reception. My husband and I are from Ohio, and decided to get married on the beach at Florida and have a fun reception at a relative's house in Florida. Jason was calm and focused throughout the planning process and helped to ease our minds every step of the way. Pride Catering FTL had hands down the best communication with us out of all of the vendors we worked with for our wedding. The food was AMAZING, and our guests loved it! We had plenty and ate it for days after the wedding (happily). He was incredibly professional and was able to anticipate our needs (preparing the cake cutting, shifting from appetizers to dinner and so on..) He even decorated the space for the reception with items we had brought with us from Ohio. I had no plan for the things we brought, but Jason was able to use everything in such creative and beautiful ways. We are incredibly grateful to Jason and Pride Catering to making our day so special and incredibly smooth. If you are considering other caterers, don't.
