There was no signage directing mobile check in customers to "skip" the line to get their keys, so I unknowingly waited 30mins to talk to someone. This was because the truck I was assigned via the app was parked behind others trucks, so there was no way to retrieve the truck on my own. Then when I got to a person, it took another 30 mins for the person to get my truck--keys were lost maybe? Not sure because there was not much communication. So I stood for 1 hour on my feet when I should have had a five min experience using mobile checkin. The location should not assign a truck that is parked in the back of the lot and not accessible; need to add signage or better directions for mobile users; they could have processed customers quicker with more staff so the line moved quicker; and they should provide trucks with a least a little bit of gas as the one I was provided had 3 miles left in it before needing gas. I appreciate that the manager comped some of my add-ons without me asking, but it didn't really feel like enough compensation for the stress and delay it caused my house move. Otherwise, the store was clean, mobile check was a good experience otherwise, equipment was in good shape (minus the lack of gas).

I moved from out of state, used a Ubox and payed extra for insurance. Added help to load the box and my things were treated as garbage. The Ubox door was falling off and an employee fixed it so careless that drilled into our new baby crib. My other daughters $500 ride along electric car end up scratched every where. Upset I called the 800 number to canceled the help to unload the Ubox and I was told it was done over the phone. That I would receive the refund within days. When I called the next day and waited over 15 minutes just to double check if it was canceled I then was told I had to do it online. When I arrived to this store the older man behind the counter was rude and upset that I had canceled the help because by then they had loaded the box into a trailer to be towed. I told him I had called to cancel and he tells me " well they don't tell us this stuff" ( like its my fault the lack of communication they have). Dealing with the insurance for your damage belongings is a headache and takes ALOT of back and forth emails to be told you will only be receiving $100 because things are funcional. I asked for things to be fixed not for the cash but I was denied and told that what they will do is send the check by mail. Thanks to Uhaul my daughters will sleep and play with damaged but functional items.

Wow, lots of bad reviews here. So, I can personally share that I did not have a horrible…read moreexperience. I will say they seemed pretty understaffed, so the wait times were longer than ideal when trying to drop off and catch a flight. Took a while to get the car as well since there was a line of people waiting for their vehicles. I actually messed up with our reservation and booked it for 7:30AM instead of 7:30PM and didn't realize it until we landed in Orlando. I called NextCar as soon as we landed and explained my error. I think I spoke to someone at a customer call center. They were very accommodating and courteous as I explained this was completely my brain fart error. When we arrived at NextCar from the airport shuttle they have, I was able to hurry into line, which was helpful with timing since the process did take a little while. The gentleman who helped me at the counter was also very courteous. I once again explained my booking time error and he was very helpful. We ended up with a compact SUV instead of mid-size, but I was honestly grateful for that since my initial reservation was essentially cancelled due to my error. I ended up adding the $12/day toll pass which was kind of a waste, but we needed to drive to Daytona and I was not familiar with the route/toll situation and wanted to be safe. They do place a $500 hold on your card and I can confirm that did fall off after a couple business days from surrendering the vehicle, as promised. You have the option to purchase their insurance or use your own. Thankfully we have Progressive and I already had that app on my phone. I logged in and the gentleman who helped me navigated to the information they needed. This wasn't an issue for me, but the guy at the window next to me was having issues with that part and seemed frustrated. So make sure you have proof of insurance - I think it was specifically the Declarations page. I def recommend double checking their site to make sure you have what you need prior to your travel. I'd say it would be a 3-star experience, but I added a star because of them being so accommodating with my booking error that I was very transparent about. The rental price was extremely competitive compared to all the rest, so I think it's a "you get what you pay for" type of thing. Overall pretty clunky and not sure if I would use them again because my husband is pretty impatient, but if you don't mind longer wait times for a lower cost, then it fits the bill. The person who brought our car out is the only name I got. His name was Harold and he was extremely courteous. Thanks Harold and thanks to the nice gentleman at the counter!

If zero was an option. This location will perpetrate FRAUD on you. They claimed a cigarette sensor…read morewent off in the vehicle. The reading was off the charts, 120,000 micrograms, meaning I had to have smoked 8 cigs in 4 min. Was charged $450 They claimed that I damaged a tire upon return. Tire had 11 shaved scratches on the sidewall that somehow did not produce a flat, yet NO DAMAGE TO RIM. When I picked up the car I was upgraded to this one, it was 10pm, dark and parked tightly between two other vehicles, I was told to check the car for damage and mark it, I checked for scuffs etc but would not have noticed scraps on black tires in unlite parking lot at night. Was charged additional $250 I called the company to complain and get refunded and they shunned me, refused to respond to my credit card company. Now they respond here pretending to want to help resolve the issue. DO NOT RENT FROM NEXTCAR FRAUDSTERS!!!
