Amazing! My mom and I accidentally showed up for two pedicures as they were going to close (said 6pm online, but online was wrong) and they welcomed us in saying "no problem at all" when we turned to leave. They graciously stayed an hour and a half after hours) and didn't rush at all. There were multiple scrubs, hot towels and leg massages. Everyone was wonderfully friendly and the place was impeccably clean! 10/10! read more

I had a slight accident and tore half the nail on my big toe. I am from out of town so I took a chance on Pretty Nails. Called and got in the same day. Very professional and polite! Also fixed my toenail, good as new! read more

This is a very nice, clean, and friendly nail salon. I walked in (they accept appointments) for a pedicure and they could see me immediately. I selected a pedicure with the lavender scrub and it was wonderful. The presentation of the scrub was beautiful and smelled so good. My feet felt so good and look so pretty, It was time well spent and my toenails still look great two weeks later. I highly recommend Pretty Nails. read more

Pretty Nails - Lavender Scrub at Pretty Nails. - Nail Salons Near Me - Spearfish, South Dakota

I had a pedicure today and it was the worst one ever. The technician who was doing it did not know how to run the bath, water temperature and make several trips to get equipment. I mentioned this to the owner, and he was not even offering a repeat pedicure. I don't even know if the technician was licensed in SD. No way to comment as she didn't know English. Would not recommend this business. read more

I have been getting pedicures here for at least 5 years. They are always very nice and do a great job! I try to make appointments when possible. I walked in one day, without an appointment, and saw they were very busy. I went back out the door and got into my car. One of the ladies came out and asked what I needed. I told her I wanted a pedicure, but would make an appointment for another day. I was not upset in any way. She told me to come back in and got to me within 5 minutes! Great customer service! read more

Pretty nails is the spot!! The ladies in my family always get our mani/pedis here! They are so kind and always remember us there's a ton of great nail salons in the hills but this one is my favorite. They are sooo quick with manicures and I always love the look and quality of them read more

Pretty Nails - Had one of the best pedicures I have ever had. This place is clean and they treat you wonderful! - Nail Salons Near Me - Spearfish, South Dakota

This is the only place I will go to get my nails done. They are nice, remember me by name, and even my go to colors! I can always get an appointment when needed and they do a terrific job! read more

Will never return. Was rushed. The techs were rude. The quality was not that great.

I've never been treated so rudely in my life. The owner clearly doesn't want to be here any more. Having your nails done should be a pleasure for the customer. This place has forgotten that. I will never go back. I'm still stunned. read more

Had an appointment early in the morning my nail tech was late (I get things happen) but she didn't say a single thing. Went in for a pink & white ombré poly gel. We were on the two hour mark so I told her just to leave them pink I was in a rush to leave (because I was unaware it took two hours) so I didn't even really look at my nails until I left. One hand was longer than the other. They were shaved down right so they look bulky and uneven. The shape varied from nail to nail. Week later they all have now lifted pretty bad. Not worth the $70 will never go back. Pretty bummed read more

We had an excellent experience at Pretty Nails! My sister and I called for pedicure appointments on a busy Friday and they got us in with just 2 hours notice. The staff was delightful and polite, and the polish selection was Great! Their salon is gorgeous, clean and inviting and the pedicure was Devine! We did the green tea deluxe pedi and it included foot soak, nail trim and callus scraping, sea salt scrub, warm oil, lavish lotion foot and leg massage, then paraffin wax. And of course pretty polish. This was a highlight of our little vacation in Spearfish and I would highly recommend Pretty Nails to all my friends! read more

They usually do an alright job but this last time I left extremely unsatisfied. I came in to get a fill on my acrylics and the end result was uneven and had dents in the gel polish they used. Also they overcharge for a fill. I paid for not only my fill but my friends fill, and was shocked to see triple digits (without a tip). Not coming back. read more

I'm VERY happy with my nails! I went to two other salons and this was the only one that did my request for almond shaped nails perfectly. Maya did an amazing job and has a keen eye for detail! read more

I called to make an appointment with a specific nail specialist. When I got to my appointment I was a few minutes early and I said who I was and then I had an appointment with so-and-so. Well actually it was kim. So the other girl came forward told me to sit down and she proceeded to remove or start to remove my old nail polish ask me what I wanted to do and I said that I wanted to have a color dip. And she asked me why I wanted that and I said well I thought it would be better for my nails and get rid of some of the acrylics for a while. So she said okay I'll show you the colors. Well then she got to taking off everything and and using her little buzz brush to clean everything up and pretty soon she's putting some powder on to my nails and I said well what's this and she said oh this is acrylic powder. And I said well that's not what I wanted and she said well this is better for your nails. So at that point I realized I would have to select a nail color so I decided I wanted French nails. And when I went to select the base color she said oh no no you can't have that and I said why and she said well it's too white. and I said I kind of argued with her I said well I didn't think it was too white and that's what I wanted and she pointed to another color and she said you could have this one and I said I don't want that one I want this first one I picked out so anyway she ultimately ended up giving it to me but I was just disgusted that first of all I didn't get the stylist that I wanted and secondly the one that I did got was argumentative and frankly I don't think she did as good a job as Kim read more

I was treated like a common criminal. Went in for the simplest of all nail services, just a color pedicure without the massage or cuticle treatment. Asked to change the color once because it didn't look good on my feet, then asked to have it redone completely because the quality of the finished service was not at all what I'm used to. Leftover smears from my previous color that was supposed to have been removed was all over the sides of my toes. Rough edging and uneven finished look, not professional at all. This was done by an unhappy looking employee in less than three minutes. I was apalled. When I asked the manager to have this redone she told me to either pay or she's calling the cops. There was not the slightest negotiation. Sure enough a cop showed up. It is not in my nature to not pay for a service, but I was also assaulted by this woman who calls herself the manager. I was forcefully grabbed by the elbow and pushed toward the door. I am not in the business of filing police reports over petty matters, this was a complete shock to me. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants quality service and decent human treatment. God help her run that business, she'll need it. read more

I have gone here once before and it was okay. I decided to try again today to get a fill. I walked in and they said they had time for my sister and I. They were rushed the entire time. When it was time to get my design it was uneven and extremely rushed. I went to pay and they tried to charge me the same amount as my sister who got a full set with a design and several colors. When I asked why the prices were the same a laminated paper was practically forced in my face. I was so upset I didn't even look at it, paid and walked out. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Love pretty nails! They always do a good job for a great price! They always can fit me in when I call!

I am embarrassed by the unbelievable rudeness of the staff here. There is a language barrier, but that is no excuse for the horrible way the staff treats customers. It is just an embarrassment. read more

I had one of the worst experiences at this place! I came in a week before my wedding and made appointments for my bridal party and myself for the day before my wedding. Long story short the woman who runs this place told me that she had no time to do my nails and to bad after they finished everyone else in my party. She was incredibly rude and inconsiderate. Even her employees were apologizing for how mean she was. To top it off they were taking walk ins even before they were finished with my group. I would never ever recommend going here!!!!!! read more

I called here to ask if they had time to remove some French tips and then do a manicure. All I was told is "we don't do that here." Thinking I must have been on a 'different page' from the gal when I called, I stopped in to double check. She looked at them, said we do that but we don't have time (insert attitude here). I said I understood and asked if she had time tomorrow. Nope. She wouldn't check her books, offer another time, etc. Just pure attitude. If "walk ins welcome" in on your door- you should probably attempt to at least pretend to care about getting business. read more

Turned away a party of 6 mothers for their mothers day pedicures! Had a 2:30 appointment but they said it was supposed to be at 2:00, even though we were all there at 2:08. I tried this place about a year ago and the owner/manager was just plain snotty and RUDE! Today, I thought I'd give them a second chance because maybe, just maybe, she had been having a bad day last year... well today was no different... she is just about the most unpleasant, rude and snotty individual I have ever encountered. After reading other reviews on thus site and talking to people I know, I'm not the only one who has had this same treatment. This chick needs a huge lesson in professionalism and possibly a counseling session or two. People, don't waste your time or money on this place...hard earned $$ should be spent somewhere that will appreciate your business! read more

The last two times I was at Pretty Nails, my bank information got hacked, coincidence, I THINK NOT.......The service is always great, but its unusual how sometimes they let you pay by card while other times they make you use the ATM or pay by check. I have been a loyal customer of this place for over a year. I have never been treated so badly as I was today. I happened to tell them that all my nails broke this time and wasn't sure if it was the polish or they were filed down too much and immediately with obstinance and told I worked with my nails too hard and all they did was put on the polish. I told him he didn't need to be a jerk and he told nentontrunsinewhere else. I walked out and will be sure to tell everyone never to go there. My sister and I will not be back. Take your big city attitude back to the big city. You will not last in a small town with that attitude. I work in a business that I could recommend your business or not. Sadly I don't think they will even get this review or even care if they did. read more

Walked in last week and they didn't have any time that day to do a fill. Called today to make an appointment and they don't have time for a fill for 8 days. I have been going here over a year and have gotten consistently good manicures and service.

Bait and switch at the the finest I had an appointment sat down ( I am here visiting from out of state) she takes one look at my nails and says I never did your nails before... ok I said that I don't live here but had come at the end of last year and the lady that did my nails did a nice job. so anyway she gives me two different prices. I selected the $55 price which to me was a lot crazy but I did it anyway. Made a comment about one of the white tip was crooked ( oneside was thicker than the other) she rudely said its not me it you your finger crooked not my fault.. when i tried to express/explain I saw it was just going to be ugly so I stopped. when I got ready to pay I was charged $70. the gentleman that was cashier was the same one that sat just 2 seat down from where I was sitting and he heard the conversation as he interjected comments from the very beginning about me being at the wrong place...hum I have an appointment correct? yes then how could i be at the wrong place? WHen I tried to discuss the upcharge he took a paper that was laminated and flipped it over and pointed to something that "showed/allowed" him to change the price when I tried to talk to them then all of a sudden they could only speak Chinese. They are extremely rude and they don't seem to care. These were not the same people as when I was in their at the end of last year ... I would go without before going or recommending this place to anyone. I wish you could leave a zero star for this company. BtW they will not give out their names so you can't give their names with filing complaints with consumer protection agency. read more

My best friend and I have been going every two weeks to Pretty Nails and love the job they do. We call most of the time the day before, but if we forget we just get there when they first open and they take us right in. There prices are really competitive, and most of the workers speak English. The owner is not the same as in 2014, this is all one family working there. They keep and fill out an appointment book as people walk in to fulfill everybody's needs. We both love the attention to every detail when doing our nails. read more

This nail salon really does not want repeat business!!!! They will tell you th4 of they are busy only 4 of them working at the time but you can come back in 2 hours and they will get u right in........well this will not happen because they have taken other walk-ins and now they are just to get you in because all these other ladies are waiting! Just find another salon in the area is my recommendation! read more

Small town, limited resources for beauty treatments.... Let me just say that to start. I stopped into Pretty Nails on Saturday to get a gel polish change on my toes and a manicure. The guy at the front told me they had two people out and that I could come back in 3 hours. I told him that didn't work for my schedule and that I would come back Monday. So I walk in today, the same guy asks me what I need, I tell him the same thing as I told him Saturday. He says "we can't do gel on toes". I replied why didn't you tell me you don't offer this service on Saturday when I was here ?" ... Crickets... I said ok well I guess I'll just take regular polish then. He replies with come back in two hours. Twice I've tried to give this place my business and twice they are understaffed. If you are desperate for a service, call ahead and make an appointment. This place is not one you can expect to stop by on the fly! read more

I had a regular manicure on Monday and all the polish "fell" off within 19 hours. I called to complain and was told they do not guarantee regular polish. I am sure the polish fell off because he used too much oil on my hands and never washed it off. He only used a hot towel to clean off the oil so therefore the polish would not adhere. Terrible customer service! Told me for another $15 they would repolish . Are you kidding me?? Will not return and will tell everyone of my terrible experience! read more
