i am traveling for 9 weeks and desperately needed a pedi and a dip. the pedi was great but $57....I wasn't offered any special type but it was good. The dip was terrible. It's 8 days since it's cracking. I think the powder was old and a cheap brand but application by the male opener was also thicker than I am used to. can't wait to get home! read more

I have been visiting Star Nails for years. Recently the owners opened DaVi nails inside the Spearfish Wal-Mart! After getting my nails done for 20 plus years I find I am pretty picky. I am always pleased after getting my nails done here. They use quality products, are very thorough and sanitary which I really like. I highly recommend DaVi or Star nails when you are in Spearfish. They do accept walk ins. But you should know they are very busy so it worth your time to get an appointment. read more

This place is located inside Walmart, so it's very convenient to get to. I made my appointment as I wasn't for sure what the wait time would be. It's a tiny little place, with 2 pedicure chairs and some manicure tables, but it was very clean and well organized. Great selection of polishes. Lexi did my pedicure and it was heavenly! Loved the foot scrub. Very friendly and professional ladies there. Prices are a little steeper than what I'm used to but I didn't mind because the service and attentiveness was top notch. This will definitely be my go-to spot! read more

Lexi did a phenomenal job on my gel French nails! I have had them for 2 weeks so far and still in beautiful shape. Do call for an appointment. I dropped in and chose to come back in 1.5 hours to secure my appointment. Lexi is a sweetheart and a hardworking artist. Worst customer service ever!!! My daughter got hers done for the first time they would not even do what she wanted along with making fun of her because they just did the same style !!! Did not help her, for the oil after for cuticles or even acknowledged she was there basically with letting her burn her finger on the light it was to be a mother daughter day needless to say my "nail tech" if that's what I want to call her texted on her phone the whole time!!! Wonderful service and such friendly people. I made an appointment and got in on time. The husband did my nails and he was great. My nails look beautiful. Price wise they were $5 more than I pay at home but I didn't mind because I had a broken nail and I get the gel with a fill. It's located in the Walmart which was very convenient. I rather give zero stars. Called on Monday and made an appointment with the lady that did my nails the first time. I entered the time onto my calendar as we were on the phone since I am super busy with work this week. On Wednesday I rush out of work early and arrive at my 4PM appointment for this lady to act like she never spoke to me or anything. She didn't seem remorseful or sorry at all for wasting my time and not writing my appointment down. To her, the mistake she made was my fault. As she was trying to embarrass me for her mistake in front of her other customers, I pulled up the call on my phone to make sure I was not going crazy and there it was my outgoing call to them on Monday. On top of the unorganized chaos and customer blaming the prices are a bit steep here. They do not make their wrongs right, save your time and money by going elsewhere. read more

I love the service here! My acrylic nails are not the same when I have to go somewhere else. I agree with the other reviews. Don't expect to be able to walk in and get immediate service. Went in to get my nails done yesterday. I had asked multiple times if the style was gonna be too complicated. They said no. So I let it go. He went on shaping my nails. Well they are all pretty uneven. The paint job on my RING finger is HIDEOUS. I asked him to fix it and he made it WORSE. My ring finger is supposed to be a triangle, well it looks like a banana. I recommend going to Pretty Nails. I had to pay $50 for something I didn't like. read more

We were five minutes late and they told us they couldn't take any of the four people who were prepared to spend quite a bit of money as we were there for a wedding the next day.
