I suppose like very many people I'm pre disposed to liking places that don't rip me off.
This chain is pretty ok in this way so it gets my business and my loyalty. I trust them too to do the right this just like M&S.
I got decent tasting and good portioned cappuccinos at £2.45 each, which ain't bad in an airport. The problem environmentally is this darn paper cups and plastic lids.
We should be finding ways to use material less harsh to our environment. We've only one planet and it ain't recyclable.
This place is fairly small and a tad cramped, and no doubt rip off rents, but the seating is fairly comfy and there's lots of plug sockets for those who want to charge their various devices.
I saw plastic (here we go again) pots of peeled, sliced Tommy Atkins mango - imagine the food miles here - with fresh lime so I picked up two. There was a quarter of fresh lime in each and I think I overdid the squeezed lime a bit, but it was very refreshing.
Tommy Atkins mangoes are sweet and what makes them attractive to business is their robustness. They have a very long shelf life and tolerate handling and transporting with little or no bruising or degradation.
As I waited for my coffees I spotted flaky, plump almond croissants and as they just looked so good that I picked up two at £1.80 each. They tasted good too. Suppose I can resist anything but temptation.
The staff were mega friendly, enthusiastic and cheerful too but I didn't see any sign that they are paid st least living wages.
So all in all it was a welcome pause for 20 minutes before going back into the glitzy overpriced airport marketplace. read more
