Pret is a London institution! Friend to the hungry morning commuter, those who are peckish, and those who don't have too much money to spend but want good quailty food, I am sure almost everyone in London has been inside a Pret.
This Pret A Manger is located on the top floor of Brent Cross Shopping Centre and the staff is always nice. I have been in many times and there has never been a great rush but there are always at least a few people enjoying a bite or waiting in line. Whenever I'm at the mall it's a good place to grab something or even to take a book and just rest your feet for awhile. The staff never mind how long I take over a cup of coffee and I appreciate that.
Pret has a range of sandwiches which are all good, although my favorite is the toasted halloumi and red pepper which is delicious. The tuna with capers is my runner-up sandwich, the capers add a zing to it. The soups are also very good, the tomato soup, mushroom and risotto, and barley with beef have all been excellent.
For the early visitor, the soup may not be ready so early, but they have a sort of tomato cheese croissant which is good but perhaps a bit rich for me so early in the morning. The chocolate croissant is also a pretty decadent way to start the day but so yummy mmm :) The coffee is decent, and the brownie is my guilty pleasure anytime.
Pret A Manger fulfills a niche for quick, quality bites and I'm a fan! read more
