I easily booked a 9:00 AM appointment through the VW app for an AC check and a couple of recalls, including the rear camera and engine cover. I arrived a few minutes early and was greeted immediately by everyone in the drive lane. My service advisor, Jen, was absolutely wonderful, welcoming, and professional. She confirmed my information, gave me a clear timeline of about two and a half hours, and personally showed me to the waiting area. The setup there is fantastic if you need to get work done, complete with dedicated workspaces, coffee, tea, water, and snacks. To my surprise, Jen came to get me right at 11:00 AM, well under the estimated time. She had all my paperwork ready and even walked me out to my car. When I mentioned how much better this experience was compared to the dealership closer to my house, she told me, "We take care of our people here." They absolutely proved that. Even though it is a 25 to 30 minute drive for me, Fitzgerald VW has definitely earned my future business. I felt truly taken care of and highly recommend asking for Jen!

That confirmed my impression that the issue wasn't that my expectations were unrealistic--it was that Chris had already decided they couldn't be done. What I do mind is being treated as though I don't understand the process or being spoken to in a way that suggests my questions aren't worth taking seriously. We have two very expensive bike in the bike rack that we actively used and one day they cleared out all of the bikes with no notice to the slip holders and then tried to deny that they had anything to do with it. I later noticed that they had locked one of our bikes in one of the marinas maintenance sheds so we were able to get that one back but not the other one. They immediately fired the staff that had been popular with the slip holders and replaced them with others who I considered to be very rude...at that point we decided to leave the marina for a much friendlier marina. Did I mention that while they reduced services they simultaneously increased their prices dramatically. I recommend you steer clear of this marina...they have a lot of growing up to do!
