Extremely negligent and unacceptable experience. I had both an ovarian and breast scan at Prestige Diagnostics. After two months of silence, I had to reach out myself -- only then did they finally send my ovarian results, which showed I have PCOS. That's not something you leave sitting for months without telling a patient. I also learned (only because I called) that something went wrong with my breast scan and I needed a rescan. Nobody ever notified me, which is a serious failure in patient care. I had to drive two hours again last Monday (Aug 11th) for the rescan, and now it's Tuesday (19th) of the following week -- still no results. My provider has made 11 documented attempts to obtain them, and nothing has been sent. I tried to be nice and patient, but this is my health we are talking about. These are not routine papers -- these are potentially life-changing results that can't be delayed. The lack of communication and urgency here is shocking. This is more than unprofessional -- it borders on medical negligence. Patients have a legal right under HIPAA to timely access of their records, and I am considering escalating this to the state medical board. I would strongly caution anyone against trusting their health to this facility. read more

Honestly, I wouldn't go back there if I was bleeding internally and they were the only option as far as diagnostic imaging. I had some severe issues with my abd area and some strange blood work results. The Dr ordered a abd ultrasound and a pelvic ultrasound. I had to pay cash because my insurance was not accepted, which I can't fault them for. However, I pay, wait, get called back, and the tech (owner's spouse) starts asking me which one I want mid exam, I said both since that is what the doctor said was necessary. She kept trying to explain why one was better than the other, and eventually she gets to the point and what she was saying is the cost would be double what I paid since it is two different orders. That would have been $500. So she said I had to choose. Keep in mind I'm in pain and not feeling well, and now I'm agitated to be having a financial discussion while my gut is getting pressed on. I chose the abdominal because who really wants a pelvic? The pain was mostly in my abdomen so without having a lot of time to think I chose. While I was mid panic trying to choose this tech says "look I made time in my schedule to see you today, and you need to choose." I have been in the med field for decades now, you do NOT discuss finances with your pt during the exam. Do we wake up people during surgery to see if they can truthfully afford it? This should have been discussed when I checked in. Anyway, so I choose abd exam. She seemed mad about it, idk, but she spent about 3-4 min taking pics of my organs in my abdomen. There was no way that was appropriate for an exam. So I left $250 poorer, for 10 min of her time. The doctor never received my images or a report, a they have never responded to my emails about it. I know I can go there and speak to them but my experience was so awful, I don't think I can go in and behave professionally. Absolute scam of a place. I feel the need to mention, d/t their neglect my diagnosis has greatly postponed, and had I went to a more professional entity, i probably would not feel the way I do today. read more

DON'T GO HERE! They will require you to pay them upfront, telling you if you overpay, your insurance will refund you. Then when you call your insurance and find out you paid too much, your insurance will tell you that Prestige owes you the overpayment refund. When you try to get your refund from Prestige, you will be told that refunds are not handled by this office and you have to call another place that handles refunds. That place never answers the phones. Furthermore, you will be asked to sign forms but will be offered NO copies of what you signed. There are other places in Redding that offer the same radiology services and will only take your co-pay and then bill you for what your insurance company doesn't cover. So I was referred here for an ultrasound. Despite having great insurance, I was charged $204 as a copay, though given the option of $200 if I didn't use insurance. They said that if the insurance covered it, I'd be refunded. I opted to have insurance cover it as I pay quite a bit for coverage. That was over two months ago. My insurance stated that they paid, and only required a $20 copay. I called to find out when my money would be refunded ($184), and they said once they reviewed the insurance payment, they would get back to me. That was a month ago. read more

This company did the same thing to me. We also have great insurance. They said I had not met my deductible when I knew I had. They asked for 170 with insurance or 250 without insurance. Then proceed to say if my insurance had not met my deductible I would owe 350, in an effort to get me to pay 250. I ended up pay the 170 and then I read this yelp review. I bet I can kiss my 170 goodbye. Don't go to these guys! Feels like a scam. Go to MD image. I know they are a legitimate company. read more
