And the pillows case had stitched in ( soft hard ) nice touch Though both rooms we felt it was a bit colder, even though we spent a few minutes trying to figure out how to get the furnace to blow warm air. After at least 10 minutes in both rooms we gave up. First night we went into the hot tub and pool area ( hot tub wasn't extremely hot 40 c more like 30, no way to adjust the temperature and the jets were not that powerful). But still nice enough to soak in. The pool was nice though . The breakfast Continental was extreme there was ( pancake, omelette, sausage, potatoes, cold cereal, oatmeal, toast, bagels, yogurt, juice's coffee teas, cinnamon buns fruit hard boiled cold eggs ) wow !!

We had no issues and the place was completely full. The complimentary breakfast was good. Scrambled eggs, omelettes, turkey sausage patties or pork links, and various fruit. The fruit was always plentiful. They also had cinnamon buns, yogurt, boiled eggs, a pancake machine, oatmeal and the list goes on. The breakfast area although busy was kept clean and stocked. Coffee was always fresh and no line up when I went to get breakfast or coffee. In general this was a clean hotel. The only thing I have a suggestion on, is there's a sign in the room saying if you don't want new towels keep them hung up, if you want them replaced throw them on the floor. Well we always hung ours up and they gave us fresh ones each time. We did discuss it with the front desk to which they only said "ok thanks". That's my only suggestion if I don't want a new towel don't give me one please. I would stay here again. The price was right as well. We paid $800 for the 3 nights.

The bed was the comfiest bed I've slept in for years. Not to mention the bedding is luxurious, not the shitty blanket and sheet you get in many hotels or B & B's. Our room had hard wood floors, a claw foot bath, a steam shower, robes, a flat screen tv with Netflix and Youtube. You have a huge communal kitchen downstairs which has everything you need. Jack the current manager was the most charming, accommodating, funny and generous person to deal with during our stay. He showed us around when we arrived (which was late), and regularly checked in on us. Unfortunately halfway during our stay the hot water system stopped working. I am certain this won't be a future issue but needless to say it was a pretty big let down for us. (We were mostly excited about using the tub on our trip!) Jack compensated ALL THREE nights to make sure we wouldn't leave feeling disappointed. He also offered us a return stay free of charge so that we could fully enjoy the space in the future. Seriously impressive service. One teeny, tiny thing to keep in mind. As we were only visiting as friends it wasn't an issue but... Sound does travel easily. We could occasionally hear other guests in their quarters. So we imagined honeymooners or couples may have a tough time feeling completely private. But other than that this place is where you want to go if you're staying in Golden.

I called again the next day and the employee told me the charge was for an unnapproved pet. After arguing about the existence of a pet, they finally sent "proof" of the pet in the room. It was a little bit of white dog hair on a black surface that must have caught a ride on our bags. They claimed they had to throw out all the bedding and do a deep cleaning when all they had to do was call me first to understand what must have happened, and clean the room regularly. I waited until the following Monday to try and contact him again and again, he avoided the dispute before hiding behind an email late at night. This man is a crook, a coward, and doesn't deserve your business.

This was much preferred over a regular motel stay, since with the kitchenette, you can save money by getting groceries and doing your own meal prep instead of eating out for all your meals. It's not very central,so if you want to go to the downtown area, it means getting a taxi if you plan to drink. Other than that, it's got a lot going for it.

Then the motel manager somehow managed to find 5 rooms at a price of $237 a night. You can guess where we told him to stick it. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT SUCH A SHADY BUISNESS THAT HAS NO PROBLEMS OR REMORSE ABOUT LEAVING PEOPLE STRANDED IN THE RAIN WITH NOWHERE TO SLEEP!

The whole drain plug for the tub was just sitting on top of the drain hole, the doors and walls were dirty and dry drips of dirt down them, the windows were filthy as were the sills, ac unit was dirty, I didn't walk on the carpet without shoes or socks on. The glass ware was absolutely disgusting. There was an empty water bottle and kleenex under one of the beds, the main window was broken and taped together. I was charged $226.20 to stay in this abomination!
