Garage Build--Reliable, Professional, Detailed and Efficient…read more I had a great experience working with Grand Building and Contracting Ltd. I hired them to remove and construct a new garage. Adam and his team understood the entire scope of the work. I was provided with a detailed schedule, timelines, and estimate before commencing the project. There was an issue with a city tree on my neighbour's property that had to be dealt with. Other contractors vanished at this point in the project. Adam guided me on what steps I had to take and the necessary paperwork I needed to file with the city over the course of seven months. When the project was finally approved, the trades workers were on time, highly skilled, professional and efficient. Adam was there at the beginning and end of every part of the construction. I greatly appreciated the regular communications I received. He even made sure my neighbours were satisfied with how the construction was effecting them. I can't say enough positive things about Grand Building and Contracting Ltd. I will use them again for my next project. I highly recommend that anyone give them an opportunity; you will not be disappointed.

He did an asphalt repair job for us last year, and this year was able to handle a very big interlocking stone repair job for us. Our previous contractor used the wrong base material, and we were left with a driveway and patio that had shifted, broken, and was a mess. Danny and his team worked 12-hour days and had the entire property completely fixed in less than a week. The stones were lifted, the base material was removed, new base material was applied, the stones were relaid, the entire patio was sealed, and they also removed our damaged back lawn and laid new sod. This company is absolutely amazing!

Subsequently, when it rained, the sand was washing away. On June 19th, Jim O'Flaherty and a rep from the manufacturer came to assess the issue. Jim clearly said that if he uses a sealant, it will solve the issue. On June 20th, Jim applied a sealant. On July 3rd, when we had heavy rain, the sand was still washing away making a mess. I took pictures on July 3rd and sent an email to O'Flaherty Landscaping, which was ignored. I also called Jim on July 3rd to let him know and he said there is nothing more he can do, falsely blamed it on the sand and said to deal with the manufacturer. This is against the Consumer Protection Act since the contractor is ultimately responsible to fix the issue. On the Google review that I did, O'Flahertys responded with lies to save face. They also said they put more polymeric sand on July 3rd before they sealed it. This is a lie. They only sealed it. They also lied that the pictures I attached to my Google review was before the remedial work. The remedial work was done on June 20th and on July 3rd, when we had heavy rain I took pictures and sent them an email with the pictures, as mentioned above, which was ignored. They also installed new sod as part of the project. Subsequently, there was a big dead patch of grass. Theresa gave me a black bag of soil. Again they lied saying they also gave me grass seed which they did not. The manufacturer told Jim to call me to fix the issue but he did not call. The manufacturer told me the sand is not defective but that it was incorrectly installed. Jim is not owning it but instead chose to abandon me. I have all the emails and conversations documented as proof in case I decide to take next steps.
