This is the second time I have used C&Z for remodeling and renovations. I cannot speak for…read morerestorations due to fire or water damage...but I CAN speak for renovation work. We had a second floor and garage addition over 18 years ago from C & Z. Flooring installed in the second floor is still good after all these years and did not need to be replaced. This time around, I contracted for another addition to the side of the house and a kitchen remodel with other work being done to every single room in the house except for one. This was a huge undertaking. Hats off to the crew who did the first remodel as there were 12 people living in the house during that renovation; this time there were only 7 people living through most of the renovation (and a dog) increasing to 9 towards the end of the work. While the crew members changed over the years, Aaron Holbrook was present for both remodels. Trying to remodel and renovate around so many people was challenging and so we are grateful to Jonathan King, Patrick Smith, Ron, Anthony and especially Jason who almost single handedly painted the entire house. The crew had to work around all these people while installing cabinets, flooring, painting, ceiling tiles, framing, etc....The crew was flexible, considerate and courteous. I feel the overall cost of the project was fair for the amount of work that was done both inside and outside of the house. We will be contacting them again for future work.

They did not fulfill their obligations and our gutters still overflowed. We had to do the job ourselves. We were misinformed. We were misled. And then they lied to us. To date, they have not made a good faith effort to rectify the issue. Ironic, since their website promises to "provide the best customer service from beginning to end." Consider a more professional company that will do a complete job ... for a lot less money too. As further evidence, this is how All Season Gutters describes itself on its website: "A+ Ratings at the BBB." Actually, if you check the Better Business Bureau website, you'll find that All Season Gutters is not affiliated with the BBB, and has a rating of C+, not A+ as the company claims. This is what is said about such a low rating: "C+ through C- means that there are significant issues with the company's practices and you should proceed with caution if you choose to do business with them." Don't trust these guys.

We needed a roof replacement/repair to meet requirements for our refinancing in the middle of…read morewinter. I was given a reasonable quote that evening and was brought sample shingles to approve within two days. The first decent day the crew was here and got the first half completely done, including adding a base of plywood which was needed due to the poor quality of the old roof. The next good day that was available they were back out, finished the job completely, and the roof looks wonderful. They cleaned up completely, took pictures as needed for the appraisers to review, if needed. I highly recommend this group. They knew what they were talking about (my past husband was a contractor & I used to run the office) and were polite, prompt, and professional.

Larry told us we didn't need to replace the roof but we didn't want our buyers to then find another issue with the roof. The replaced the roof on very short notice. I appreciate the honesty as they weren't out to take us for as much as they could get. They suggested just repairing. They were prompt and very reasonably priced. No mess left behind. Update: Now the appraiser wants a gutter replaced before we can close on the sale. They are coming out same day I made the call. Larry and crew are ethical and honest. JR Home Improvement just completed their second job for us. We had about a 75' Silver Maple that…read morewas dying. Large limbs were over the house and over our neighbors yard. We did our due diligence and obtained four quotes for the job. JR was not the lowest bid but they were far below the top two. They brought it down cleanly with no damage to anyone's property. Jess and Ro are very friendly, professional and very safety oriented. We were very impressed with this job! Our neighbors commented on what a great job they did. We have a couple more trees that need to come down next year and JR is the only call we will make.

If a small contractor doesn't want your business, why don't they just say so? I've wasted all this time waiting for their estimate when I could have been looking for another contractor who actually wanted to do the work.
