Usually the stores are cramped, have a musty smell and the staff don't really care. Lowes at Wynnum Plaza is an exception. You can spot their bright yellow and blue store a mile away. The staff are very friendly and their same day service is fantastic. They do a bit of everything, including clothing, curtains, bedding and speciality items like wedding dresses. I get my work clothes done here from time to time. The service is always fast and my crumpled, dirty clothes come back beautiful and look practically new again.

This is a good place as far as laundromats go. There are 10 washing machines and 4 dryers. Washing machines cost $4 and dryers are $1 for 8 minutes. There is rarely any wait for machines. If you don't want to sit in the laundry, there are lots of cafes around or you can do your shopping at the Coles a block away while you are waiting.
