They sell really unique cards, which can be a wee bit on the expensive side if they are handmade, but they are gorgeous and they have a vast range on offer so you are able to find a card to suit every occasion. In addition to cards, The Paper Gallery also sells wrapping paper, ribbons, bows, mugs and plenty of little gift items. As the couple who run the shop are Chinese there are lots of oriental ornaments and gifts which are very cute and a great present to buy for a birthday or Christmas. Probably my favourite aspect of the shop is the counter at the front of the store which has a lovely selection of unique jewellery. If you look down when you pay you will notice the beautiful selection of jewellery on offer which is very reasonably priced. The Paper Gallery is in a very convenient location, just around the corner from the University so it is great place for students to pop into to buy a birthday or valentine's card if they are running late.

Today was just as short a visit with a festive gift in mind for paying my boyfriend's parents a visit. A cute mini Christmas tree decorated in a small festive sack (adorned with a pine cone and artificial orange!) caught my eye and was a steal at just £5. From my experience so far, staff are friendly. I've always had an idea of what I wanted and left satisfied without needing any assistance. Although, I'm sure the staff are helpful if you're at a loss of any floral ideas for your occasion and I've no doubt they make great custom bouquets as everything ready-made is brilliant, especially the quirky mini plant pot arrangements. I spent quite the time browsing and although it's a relatively small shop, they have a great range of stock, including some cute posters and a selection of Burt's Bees beauty products. I left happy in the knowledge that I'd bought the perfect gift but also that if I was ever in the same predicament again, I could rely on Collections for just the right quirky card and present. Our New arrival is due in June and my wife and I were fed up trekking into Glasgow to check out prams etc . This store has everything you need for a new born and the staff were so nice and friendly (making a change from some of the stores in town) . We ordered our complete bedroom furniture which thankfully was on special saving me over £400 which they are storing for me until i can get the nursery in order . my wife cant decide which pram yet (they have so many to choose from ) but we will be back at Matchsticks to get one from them .

I love the way the windows are dressed up for special events. The cards are lovely but I feel some are very overpriced and with a few card shops in Motherwell there is a lot of competition. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. They also sell lovely soft teddy bears.
