They actually acknowledge my presence when I come in to the store which is an element of customer service missing in most establishments these days. my review is on Christy who was the one who helped me. while i was picking up a medicine i inquired about purchasing a supplement i'm on. since they didn't have any in stock, she suggested i special order it, which i did. it was a very pleasant experience dealing with her, especially, now a days, when great customer service is getting harder & harder to find. from the moment i started speaking with her, til we were finished, she smiled & was very respectful. she even let me hit the button on the Christmas doll so i could hear it. yes, i'm a child at heart. Staff has been pleasant and helpful with a couple of prescriptions. These were routinely refilled and I have not had any meaninful delays or other issues. Other reviews note a high delivery fee and I did check on this option but decided to pick up instead to avoid the cost. I recently realized refills can be requested on line, my only complaint being that on an android phone I would need to through every month for 67 years to get to my birth date, a glitch I have found on other sites. This pharmacy dicked me around for two months, not telling me that my scrip could be sent to a pharmacy near my home until after wheedling an extortionate delivery fee from me. They were dishonest, deceitful and rude. There are many good compounding pharmacies in Tucson. Skip this one!! read more

i have been one of their clients for over 3 years. their refill process is a nightmare. they don't get faxes. they don't contact me after 'not receiving info' from my primary care provider for a week. I dunno, I want to like this place because it's a really essential service they provide, but they have fallen kinda short for my family. First, they took over a week to fill a script after many calls for status updates. They were not very nice or apologetic about it. Then, that same script came with a syringe that had some kind of oily substance all over it. I was worried it could've been another drug or something, because the bottle itself was closed and clean. Now for our next script of a different medication, they were much more timely, but we called and had a question about it. They answered the question, but I didn't feel like I was doing anything but irritating her and wasting her time. The place was also far too busy, with too many people crowded around and giving next to no personal space during a pandemic. They should be monitoring this somehow -- it doesn't seem like it would be all that difficult. There aren't many options in town, so I guess I have to keep using this location, but I'm not really thrilled about it. It's not terrible either, just not great. read more

Be careful, I am a 1o year customer and recenty had a problem with compound I purchase from them being compromised from a sterility standpoint. Their pharmacist, Lisa Heller was defensive and accussed me of inserting a needle into the bottle that had been taintied with a nother compound. I don't use other Compounds and was simply seeking help as to what may have caused the problem. Lisa was nasty and offensive to me and refused to help. They may have quality problems and are unwilling to investigate. The definitley have customer service quality problems. I'll take my business to Acacia. John R. read more

I purchased an over the counter supplement and discussed my inability to swallow large pills . No one there knew the size of these pills so I did not know if I could take them. I couldn't swallow them. They now have a new policy and will not allow returns as they had previously done. I've talked to them twice about this problem. They will not take a return . So much for a company that says it is their mission to help people with taking their medications. read more

Responsive, answers emails. I had a problem with my NASAL Ketamine crystallizing, and the sprayer not working, and they fixed prob by a later discount, and gave me a new sprayer. That sprayer also stopped working, I emailed, and a few hour late they called me apologizing, saying they had a new batch, and will send me two of them . I first found out about this compounding pharmacy from my vet. I needed a specific dose of a medicine and she thought having it flavored to taste like fish would make it more palatable for our kitty. She was right. Just recently I got a special prescription for a liquid form of a medicine since giving a cat a pill can be quite a challenge! We appreciate the special service in veterinary medicines they provide. They have a great website that explains more of their mission and products and consultations that are offered. read more

Not helpful hours and snarky people. Came to pick up a prescription 3 days after dropping it off. Got yelled at for not calling first, it wasn't ready. Next time I called, got yelled at for calling. Of course it's ready!!! Today I took in a dispenser broken after a week. First they accused me of breaking into it. Then, of causing it to break by taking it on a plane (I guess I should have made it walk). Then the pharmacist came out to grill me about what I had done to break it, staring at me, what, like she knows I'm lying and just waiting for me to admit it What difference could it make, just fix it. read more

This place rocks! They have a product for everything above and beyond and Chris is always there to share her knowledge. I have "meh" skin since I was a kid, I bought Herpanicine (a combo of Vitamins and a proprietary blend) I am beyond grateful to have had that suggested to me. Nothing has worked until now, you just have to know the right people in town to ask!! My Dr's always put me on antibiotics.. even diuretics! Now I am able to go all natural... what a blessing! They place special orders if they do not carry it in store. I am always grateful for the information they can provide. I believe that this is the best pharmacy in town, stop by and check it out! In regards to the negative comments I have read, I think that has to come with a grain of salt. Pharmacy is more complicated than just the product you have made for you. They have provided A+ services, they have great committment and follow up on a number of occasions filling compounded medications for my pets. They always provide reminder counseling on medications and call a few days later just to make sure that everything is going ok. read more

I honestly had never used a compounding pharmacy until a year ago. I was skeptical and I had many reservations. PRESCRIPTION LAB came highly recommended by my doctor, a friend, and some women at my gym. I got a hormone consultation from their hormone specialist- Maria Virgen. She then got in contact with my physician and recommended a bio-identical estrogen and progesterone therapy that has worked wonders for me! It was so easy, they basically did everything for me. Since my first visit- I couldn't be happier!!! I feel and look younger, my husband finds me more attractive (and pleasant to be around), AND I FEEL PHENOMENAL!!! I cannot believe I waited so long to get my hormones in check, and wish that I had done it sooner!!! 5 stars! The staff is friendly, the service is amazing, and moderately priced. Some people don't realize that there is more than one compounding pharmacy in Tucson, and that they all compound medications. Events I have had happen at Rx Lab: 1. On at least three occasions they have said they did not receive an Rx from my physician; this has happened with more than one physician, and I have never had it happen at a different compounding pharmacy, just this one. I know the fault is not with the physician, but Rx Lab is always adamant that it is not their error, and blatantly blame the physician. They never seem to figure out that there may be a problem with their fax machine, and they have a REALLY bad attitude about it. 2. The person whom I was talking to about a very personal medical problem that I needed advice on, BELLOWED out the problem so that anyone within ear shot could hear what it was. 3. When I had a distinctly different reaction to a refill of a prescription I had had many times, and took it back and said there must have been a mistake, they all bunched up together and denied that there was even the slightest possibility of a mistake. Instead of offering to make it over for me as a customer service, they lost my business. 4. The very first time I walked in this pharmacy, I was looking at some things on display, and an employee accosted me as if I were a street person getting ready to steal something. Simply unbelievable. This is too bad because I live within walking distance of Rx Lab but choose to have my prescriptions filled elsewhere. read more

I was given a prescription for my sick cat late Friday evening for medicine she needed on Saturday. Unfortunately, the medicine required hours to compound. Prescription Lab Compounding Pharmacy was the only pharmacy that took on the job to get me the medicine I needed as soon as possible. Customer service is lacking. When a medication was filled with an ingredient my baby had a bad reaction to, it was redone at my cost and using my one and only refill. They do not bill insurance so it was $129. They even got an attitude with me about it saying she should be able to tolerate lactose even if I she doesn't tolerate dairy (???). read more

I have been a client of Prescription Lab for many years. We have up to 21 pets at any given time and have several that require special medications. The people there are always polite and my prescriptions are always done quickly. My sister is also a client for her many cats. We have had to get people medications over the years as well. I had my one dog with me one time and had my kids outside holding her. The person checking me out asked me to have them bring her in. She was so excited and got a treat. After researching local compounding pharmacies, I decided to "brave" this one due to the nearby location and the more reasonable prices (as I was nervous paying out of pocket). Let me just say that I am 100% satisfied with my FIRST experience with a compounding pharmacy. Nearly all of the staff was OVERLY gracious and went OUT of their way to be WARM and HELPFUL! You would have thought I was a VIP the way I was treated! They took ALL the time in the world and made sure that I was WELL taken care of! Do you know that a week later, I got a phone call from them asking how I was doing on the new medication and if I had any questions? WOW!! Not even my physician does that!!! These folks are at the TOP of my FAVES list and I can't wait to go back in and get a refill!! LOVE them!! read more

I had a prescription filled and found out later that the same drug was $37.91 less expensive at another compounding pharmacy a few miles away. I called to tell them and they told me that they couldn't do anything about it. They lost my business. I plan to tell my doctor about the price discrepancy. read more
